Its a nice thought that in my declining years I may need to make visa runs for a bank overdraft... Have walker will travel... 

But kidding aside... if I were in my 70s or 80s I would not withdraw any funds from my 800k visa balance to pay medical bills... I would tell the hospital they would have to wait until I could transfer more funds from my home country...

I would add John Cleese (In character) to the list...

So when someone renews in yet another years time will they be required to show a bank statement or bank book detailing the balance for the 800k or 400k minimum over the past year?

Try this to get a Thai ID... Make sure to write the number down as this number will be associated with. your PEA app if you need to change phones or devices... Use your phone number as I seem to recall it will send you a OPT code to activate the app

You may need to change your iTunes country to Thailand to see it... Once the app is on your phone you can change the country back and the app will stay on your phone...

A simple condo bylaw that says no rentals less than 30 days and there is a 20,000 baht fine for breach... If fine not paid in 30 days the water to the unit is cut off... 

PEA has an app for your phone that makes paying electricity easy via your BK Bank account... It also shows your past usage and such... It requires a Thai ID number (any ID) to setup but once setup it works great...
