  1. Single digit numbers? oh oh someone likes the oldies
  2. Just wondering the regulations on bringing meat into thai. Is it like Australia where company produced stuff is accepted?
  3. im offering advice, not requesting it. Talk to the op not me ????
  4. Why do you even contribute when its just negative trash? The guy literally asked the question, its a discussion. Who hurt you to make you like this.
  5. Seriously? A day in Philippines or thailand is around a month back home. If you have any decent personality you will have 1 to 2 girlfriends a week. I bet alot of the guys can rattle off 10 of each country without even flinching.
  6. Nekk Minit: The power of papaya documentary.... (Of my 28 posts, this is my least proud)
  7. What about marrying a pinay living in thailand as a thai chef? lol
  8. I have experience dating both. 1) Educated middle class thais are warm, sweet and caring and loyal and show love 2) Farm girl pattaya thais are devoid of all emotions and dont even pretend to care 3) Educated Filipinas (Never met one) but we can flip (no pun intended) this to "Religious nut job" filos who can be studying science and suddenly ignore all that to put 3 potatos under a mat so world peace will come because their lola did it once 4) Bar girl (Manila, Bicol, Samar, Cebu filos are funny, cheesy, cute and loving but are money grubbing opportunists using their looks / personality to take everything In summation option 1 is the only viable choice here based on my experience
  9. I can see you have done zero research but ill answer for you anyway. The pool is 10/10. All day sun The condo is not busy, hence the pool is not busy. Net on the balcony is for people who arent there for months at a time, to leave tables and other stuff outside, without a bird crapping on them. Parking is awesome, its the entire bottom floor (Not underground). Floods, i would dare say its the LAST condo in pattaya that could ever see any flooding. Its at the top of Soi 2 Pratanmak Hill with an above ground parking area hence any water flows directly down the road.
  10. Exactly correct. Pattaya Hill Resort has no short term rentals and there are about 80-100 vacant units. Since we bought it has always been 30b psqm but was recently changed to 43. Just to note the change had to be approved by some government office and proof had to be given as to why, and it still took a year.
  11. What we tend to like and dislike can often end up being opposite. You want a new condo with low facility costs, nice pool, nice sauna but not busy? Thats not how it works. While my condo was being renovated I stayed at Cosy Beach View. Yes a whole floor was dedicated to sky pool (which was closed the entire time due to glass being replaced), gym which was good and a hot and cold sauna but the condo was crammed, I was waiting for 5 minutes for the lift every time, the lift location was so <deleted> you have to walk around a corner for one lift and by the time you got there it had closed, the lifts were out often and the desk people were never to be found. I then stayed at Grand Avenue in a nice 2 bed 2 bath place. Scenery is beautiful but the condo takes 5 minutes to navigate to when you want to walk anywhere. I like my condo because it’s super quiet. People who live there are there for a reason. Either long term expats or people who wanted a out fo the way condo. The pool is large and nice and has sun full all day but that’s as far as facilities go. The gym, sauna etc all may as well not exist but the security is excellent, the spaces are open and wide, the building is solid, the lifts are always available and the car park and entry foyer are very close and don’t take much time or effort to get to. It’s at the top of pratamnak hill and is walking distance to walking street ( where in Jomtien you need a bath bus) and with bolt now it’s only 34b to LK. Apart from location and facilities, the view and size of the condos are cheaper per sqm than anywhere. The only other condos I’d consider would be vt2 or vt6 but I consider Pattaya hill resort a hidden gem. Here is one I inspected, nice size, quiet, peaceful and not on the sunny side. https://www.hipflat.com/listings/chonburi-condo-trovyilf
  12. Well it’s 100sqm so 43k baht. electric is 650b a month when I’m not there water is nothing internet is 700b a month basically 60k a year. I did just spend 5 months there and hotels would have cost minimum 1500 a night for something half decent so you can do the math on savings over long term. If you think a 30k baht is a lot to maintain a residence for a year, you’d scream at the table and chairsI bought lol (33k for a 10cm thick slab of wood from CM plus 16k for chairs) As I said, I wouldn’t invest in any holiday destination including Pattaya, Gold Coast and anywhere else which isn’t a primary work location. I’d never even rent it out even if I could get 20k a month, it’s purely a locked up holiday home how Pattaya should be.
  13. Maintenance just went up but is still reasonable at 43b per Sqm. You really cannot hear much tbh, very quiet. It’s a 1990 built condo so probably done half decent
  14. Lol sorry 500mb upload and 500mb download internet and an 85 inch tv on the wall and you feel like you have the same luxuries as your home country
  15. Yeah it’s basically at the top of pratamnak hill corner unit on the shady side. Sun comes around at 2-3pm which it does get hot but for the price you can’t ask much more. Aircon is rarely required. Even now 100sqm condos going for 4m, 2 bed 2 bath. Throw in 500/500 net and an 85 on the wall and you are living large
  16. Bought for 4.4 in 2014. Maybe around 5 now, the prices don’t move much. Noise doesn’t travel much, you can tell from the lack of noise before I opened the door, even though it was ajar. Older condos are also supreme, much thicker and larger. This one is in Pattaya Hill Resort a very low occupied building. re noise, I wouldn’t have moved to Pattaya (number 1 party city in the world if I wanted quiet).
  17. Don’t invest, the rental return and capital growth is pittance. My garage in Sydney rents for more than a nice condo in Pattaya. Do find a nice condo and buy for yourself if you have the money. IMG_0250.MOV
  18. I was there, thats why it was done properly.... eventually. The delays were due to multiple attempts until they got it right. In Home Pros defense, they have unlimited time + resources to continue a job even at a loss. I would use them again because its the only way you will get accountability. (In my mind i had already planned in store protests however i was pleasantly suprised when Numero uno of the shop personally called me and apologised, chewed the ass out of the Head of renovation section and fired the people who caused all the damage. i defs felt all warm and fuzzy inside ( But that could have been from the unwanted incident with the LB in a dark alley the night before)
  19. Lol yes but I’d still choose them because everything was fixed and you name someone else in Thailand who would replace a broken tv table and fridge to the same value of the entire renovation? Advantages and disadvantages. Reminding everyone this isn’t my thread I was merely explaining why there is so many haters hence extrapolating my tiny experience into a lifetime of living in Thailand.
  20. This all boils down to everyone's mental state. I love my single free life, but my friends think im a lonely pervert.. I notice people not happy in their lives just judge others. Sound like anyone here?
  21. I did the smartest thing actually, used the entire services of home pro from A to Z. Down lights, fans, Renovation (skim walls), TVs, furniture all from the one shop. As another poster stated Sydney’s building reputation of people losing out deposits plus dodgy jobs leave little to no recourse. I had quotes from multiple companies including foreign owned ones but i purposely chose home pro. The entire Reno was only 40k in which they ended up paying back 10k in cash for scratched fridge and a 10k discount on a TV. I could show the photo of me and the entire home pro staff taking a photo with a signed contract on my hand saying they had paid me 10k lol but no one wants to see my ugly head for less than 1500st. To note I am not the original poster here I was merely telling op why this site has haters…
  22. You have reached peak Sabai sabai. Any chance you on the wacky tobaccy? I think we need to take a page out of this guys book, roll it up and smoke it
  23. You dont even need a store, if you have a newish phone. DTAC and every other carrier have ESIMs you can buy with links to store directly in the dtac link below https://www.dtac.co.th/en/prepaid/products/tourist-sim.html
