  1. This is easily addressed. Implement no smoking rules for the hotel. Warn guests upon check in about this policy and that they get one warning. After that, the police will be summoned and they will likely be arrested. Cannabis smoking which creates an annoyance is illegal. All that said, I haven't heard a lot of complaints about this "phenomenon" nor is it ever mentioend in the hundreds of anti-cannabis v. tourism articles.
  2. He has a decades-long personal feud with the Chidchob (Buriram/BJT) family. Nothing more, nothing less. Most people know this.
  3. These anti-cannabis articles, targeted at foreigners, must get a lot of clicks. Why that is is curious. Maybe it's all about addressing perceived grievances by a few. It is interesting that the sex trade, which is also unregulated, and illegal, isn't something that Thai tourism's sector "grapples" with. No stories about the "wild west" of prostitution. How odd.
  4. I'm guessing Trump's staff has created an Advent-style calendar for the ex president so he can keep track of his legal developments in an engaging fashion.
  5. Given that the populace does not vote for the PM this sort of poll is useless, if not worse. It's more of a beauty contest, which I'll say Thais excel at producing, whether at the local temple or on the World's stage. The arranged mechanism between the voters and the resulting "government" and PM, is purposefully engineered so as to be 'malleable'. Think sauage production. Throw in any schmoe who can file a complaint against a party or member, an Election Commission, and a Constitutional Court, and you have many "hands" on the levers.
  6. His struggle to remain relevant failed when he went anti-cannabis. For some reason he only jumped on the ani-cannabis train recently. And he never mentions the drug scourge which is yaba. He seems to have grown tired of being the anti-corruption crusader. He should be campainging for candidates/parties which are committed to re-criminalizing cannabis. But maybe that isn't flashy enough for him.
  7. Extrememly bad run for the RTP, over the past twelve months. They've won every round of Bingo Corruption, including many new categories (mass murder of children). Could you imagine what it would be like if Surachate wasn't around to clean up these messes? That said, I didn't have "Policeman involved in serial murder" on my Bingo card.
  8. Wow!? Can't see that happening but it would be game over. Given the wide range of predictions, many of which include at least three potential outcomes, this election remains impossible to predict. And that's without any last week "surprises". Some "expert" yesterday said Prawit (he essentially chose the 250 senators and is rumored to have extracted promises from them for being named) would form a coalition government, but cede the PM slot to Anutin, assuming BJT delivers close to 100 seats, and does well in Bangkok. Prayut will lose his s**t if he's not PM.
  9. I suspect that these directors all support the actions of the Writer's union (Kubrick would if he were alive), and all but Scorcese are/were relatively prolific writers. No clue what this means but how hard would it be to use a still which has "Sam" (Dooley Wilson) in it?
  10. Florida man starts new travel agency, funded by tax-payer investment.
  11. So much "winning". And yet, I'm still not sick of hearing about another time this clown "loses". People are saying he's the biggest loser ever.
  12. "Audience demand" can be measured, at least in part, by ratings. The result of less racism is a precipitous ratings drop. D'oh. Fox knows their audience, and what they want. More racism, but it needs to be base enough to be identifable by the deplorables, but couched in a way that can be defended. Hence on-air "talent" like Jesse Waters are allowed to ramp up the racism. The problem is he just can't do it, my guess is that he doesn't really believe it, and he can't "act" outraged. Fox News Ratings At 8PM Drop 50% After Tucker Carlson’s Firing Each of the shows in FNC’s prime time lineup until this week had held a firm grip on first place, so slipping behind MSNBC at 8 p.m. is noteworthy, but so is the trend: last Friday—Carlson’s last night—he drew a total audience of 2.65 million viewers. That number largely held on Monday night (2.59 million viewers), but was cut to 1.7 million viewers on Tuesday and then 1.3 million viewers Wednesday—just 50% of Carlson’s audience from five days earlier. https://www.forbes.com/sites/markjoyella/2023/04/28/fox-news-ratings-at-8pm-drop-50-after-tucker-carlsons-firing/?sh=3b2974d72247
  13. From the linked NYT article... It remains unclear how the text escaped more notice earlier, given that the Fox legal team was aware of it and other offensive texts written by Mr. Carlson. Fox’s lawyers had produced the text as part of the discovery process and were involved in the redactions. Mr. Carlson had even been asked about it during a deposition, according to several people who have read the unredacted transcripts of his deposition. Not sure why Fox's lawyers leaked this story to the NYT? And why now? My guess is that it is cover established now to support other legal strategies in other Fox cases, like Smartmatic and Abby Grossberg, et al.
  14. Pheu Thai PM Candidate Paetongtarn Shinawatra after giving birth to her second child. Paetongtarn also said: - Pheu Thai does not support the free use of marijuana https://twitter.com/ThaiEnquirer/status/1653633029171195904 "free use" means recreational/adult use.

  18. Thank goodness she only ran over "terrorists" and didn't run over a 7 year old standing on the sidewalk. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4upixqT9jT0
  19. The "message", copied from the OP's linked article.... Tucker Carlson January 7, 2021 — 04:18:04 PM UTC A couple of weeks ago, I was watching video of people fighting on the street in Washington. A group of Trump guys surrounded an Antifa kid and started pounding the living <deleted> out of him. It was three against one, at least. Jumping a guy like that is dishonorable obviously. It’s not how white men fight. Yet suddenly I found myself rooting for the mob against the man, hoping they’d hit him harder, kill him. I really wanted them to hurt the kid. I could taste it. Then somewhere deep in my brain, an alarm went off: this isn’t good for me. I’m becoming something I don’t want to be. The Antifa creep is a human being. Much as I despise what he says and does, much as I’m sure I’d hate him personally if I knew him, I shouldn’t gloat over his suffering. I should be bothered by it. I should remember that somewhere somebody probably loves this kid, and would be crushed if he was killed. If I don’t care about those things, if I reduce people to their politics, how am I better than he is? Is this what the right-wing nut jobs mean by "Virtue-signalling"? Hard to believe this message was the straw. The "white men" thing is racist-y for sure, but hardly worth firing him for as he has probably said soemthing similar hundreds of times before.
  20. And how do you know the provenance of this "top shelf stuff"? The bulk of the discussion here is about foreign, illegally imported cannabis. The cannabis growth cycle from seed to bag is well known, including nutes - assuming nutes are even used as many are using organic/living soil and organic nutes. Local growers, from the most part, know how to wind down flowering going into harvest. How many strains have you sampled? Every single one gave you a headache? One might ask why you keep wanting to self-induce a headache? Have you smoked anything that didn't give you a headache?
  21. Well it is illegal to EXPORT cannabis from any State in the U.S., and from Canada. And it is illegal to IMPORT cannabis into Thailand. (yes, there is a loophole for "scientific research") So there's that. The import thing was a result of needing inventory to sell in the months immediately after legalization. It was a blip. And while there may always be imports, domestic production will probably get 75 - 80% of the market (in weight).
  22. Yes, some bad comes along with the good. AFAIK, her husband is Canadian, so the xenophobia is strange. I think the desire to blame foreigners is simply a character flaw, not limited to Thai cannabis activists.
  23. I just call them, place an order, transfer money to their account, they have motorbike delivery on call, then you pay for the delivery fee. I don't think t's ever taken longer than 30 minutes all in. So yes, they have good prices, based on dozens of reviewes here over ~ 15 years, and yes, they deliver. That's what the OP asked about.
  24. For the most part she's a positive force for the advancement of cannabis in Thailand. Does she like the limelight a little too much? Yep. Several of us have been telling her, since June 2022) that the bad actors start and end with the corrupt Thai officials allowing illegal cannabis to enter Thailand. Powerful forces are behind this. That said, domestically grown cannabis (indoor, outdoor, greenhouse/deps) is quickly replacing the imports. It's her schtick. They all have Thai partners, and pay for "services". Interesting that Thailand encourages foreign investment, and boasts about increases in foreign investment. But cannabis....
