I would advise him to stop digging. He just can't resist being the center of attention. Making threats is, in my opinion, not the sign of an innocent man.

Meh. Overly dramatic. Worst case he does a runner. Political assassination is very much against the rules here. -

Supposedly they were on a motocycle, so about 50 cm from the car. -
Wow he's full of himself. What an amazing threat. "Nice police department ya got there, be a shame if something happened to it. Can't see him coming back from threatening to expose ALL of the corruption. What a loser.

from your link “If I owe you $100, but I don’t want to pay you directly, I don’t want a trace, but I know that Representative Jordan pays your bills, I will pay him knowing that he’s going to take care of you. You have constructive receipt of that money from me,” O’Connor added. The provision O’Connor mentioned is 26 CFR 1.451-2, according to Cornell University’s Legal Information Institute. "If". She sounded like she was fishing. A quick search shows that she has quite the agenda. Show us the receipts, "Constructive" or otherwise. Otherwise maybe go back to counting your words.

Media organisations to probe Surachate’s payments to journalists

Makes sense as to why he always had so much positive coverage. What is amazing is that he volunteered this information unprompted, as if "yeah, I can do whatever I want because of my wife's fortune and my status." Very telling. Makes me wonder who else is paying the press. -
New public health minister walks back ‘recreational’ cannabis
bamnutsak replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
It is not, here in Thailand currently. No clue why this remains misunderstood. I mean this topic you're commenting on is about "walking back recreational use of cannabis". -
Bathrooms, sports and children. Yeah, I don't get the predilection you lot have with bathrooms. I mean you live here right. Many transgender people using bathrooms of their preferred sex. Everyone seems fine. Society has not collapsed. If not, we can build special bathrooms. I mean we did it when we had separate bathrooms for Black citizens. We built handicapped bathrooms, which are primarily for all sexes. Bathroom technology is just not all that challenging. Women's sports? Is that really a big issue? Most sports governing bodies seem capable of coping with this insignificant challenge. I'm old enough to remember Dr. Renee Richards, the world didn't end then. Children? Parents, and doctors can care for the children. Local school boards can deal with the education curriculum. Folks like you can stay away from our children.

White House says impeachment inquiry 'based on lies'

Well that impeachment inquiry hearing didn't go so well. https://www.c-span.org/video/?530616-1/hearing-biden-impeachment-inquiry Some/any evidence might have helped? Oh well, maybe get back to investigating Hillary Clinton? -
Didn't they (republicans/conservatives) say this about Homosexuality? Like since forever. Might as well say that being different is a "mental health disorder". No clue why people can't just allow others to be happy, and love who they want to love.

New public health minister walks back ‘recreational’ cannabis
bamnutsak replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Pfft. These are just made up by individual shops, or the retail conglomerates (OG Canna Company/Panthera Group). These are not official. Wonderland (Suk Soi 5) has a "medical pop-up", staffed by a white-coat, I noticed Irritable Bowel Syndrome was a listed ailment. Currently Cannabis treatment is only approved for a few diagnoses. You must visit a government hospital, with a DTAM clinic for treatment. Three groups of medical conditions are included in the list of indications for medical cannabis treatment by the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), namely (A) conditions with strong evidence of benefits from medical cannabis, i.e., chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting, intractable epilepsy, spasticity in patients with multiple sclerosis and neuropathic pain, (B) conditions with some evidence of benefits, i.e., patients in palliative care, patients with end-stage cancer, Parkinson disease, Alzheimer disease, generalized anxiety disorder and other demyelinating diseases, and (C) conditions which may be benefited from treatment with cannabis should there be more evidence in the future, e.g., cancers of some organs. Additionally, 16 regimens of the Thai traditional medicine were approved (Ministry of Public Health, 2020). https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8759353/#:~:text=Three groups of medical conditions, intractable epilepsy%2C spasticity in patients Obviously cannabis flower cannot be smoked by most of these patients, Pediatric Epilepsy for example. For medical cannabis to work, and not just be a minor hurdle for recreational use, Doctors will have to be trained, pharmacists will have to be trained, cannabis will have to be produced with exacting standards, tested, approved. A few specific growers will have to be approved. There must be seed to sale tracking. Look, if the end result is a faux medical cannabis program, like we went through in the U.S., then fine. Maybe that will satisfy the critics by providing more controls. 95% of that will end up as recreational use anyway. Now it's time to put a stop to recreational tobacco use, and recreational alcohol use. -
PM to donate his salary to charitable foundations
bamnutsak replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Well he could have donated the 30 million baht, he blew on airfare to take his wife and daughter to NYC for eight days, to charity. (BTW he forced a THAI Airways A350-900, and all of the crew, to go out of service for those ~ 9 days, where for most of the time it was ferried to/from IAD where it was parked, probably costing a further significant expense.) Accept the salary, then feel free to make charitable donations, maybe one each month. Publicize those donations so as to draw attention to them which might encourage additional donations from the public. Visit each charity, assist in what they do for half a day. Meet the people. But no, he's a patrician elite. -
Online 90 day. Report pending after 7 days

The New Appointment system seems to be experiencing issues as well. But the 90-Day Report Appointment portion is working today. https://bangkok.immigration.go.th/en/onlineservice-and-publicguide/ I haven't seen a report of a successful online 90-day report at CW in a few weeks. Mine went to 15 days, I then applied in person (after my ext stay/ret renewal). -

New public health minister walks back ‘recreational’ cannabis

A prescription for what, exactly? We're talking about Cannabis Flower with more than 0.2 % THC. That is unlikely to become legal (again, assuming it is re-criminalized) for medical purposes. Yes, I know many are hoping the medical market launches in the same form as in in the U.S., but that won't happen here. Yes, I'll stipulate that the extracts (oils) with less than 0.2 % THC (mostly CBD) is uncontrolled, and available everywhere. Currently the only legal medical solutions come from DTAM. And there are very few diagnoses which call for Cannabis as an approved treatment (Cancer, palliative/end of life, epileptic seizures). Handing out medical cards, and prescriptions for THC Flower is just not going to happen. It'll be "out of control", again. And no Doctor here is going to prescribe a controlled substance that needs to be smoked. Caveat: I was wrong about the June 9, 2022 decriminalization, so I may well be wrong again. And yes, the larger shops are setting up small co-located medical offices, with a wide list of ailments listed, in hopes that the medical market is eventually allowed. -

It is probably a good thing that the Police do not have to enforce recreational use, for now anyway, so they can concentrate on bigger problems... Police apprehended four suspects, aged 38 to 39, after discovering 15 million methamphetamine tablets, 443 sticks of heroin, 420 kilogrammes of crystal meth, and numerous Happy Water and Five Five drugs worth more than 300 million baht in a townhouse in Soi Lamphaya-Bosco 2, Prong Maduea Subdistrict, Nakhon Pathom Province. https://thethaiger.com/news/national/thai-police-dismantle-major-drug-syndicate-seizing-narcotics-worth-300-million-baht 420 Kilograms of Crystal Meth.
