I have had my Suzuki Swift since 2012 and think it is just a wonderful car, and as someone else has said, has great roadholding, so although I don't use it around town much, but I do trips around the island in it and thoroughly enjoy driving it. It was the top of the range model and is a peppy little car if one wants to drive it like that, as it does have a sports mode, and the acceleration still surprises me sometimes! I can't fault it, nor can I fault the local Suzuki dealer, so if I were to consider buying another car, I would certainly go for the new model Swift again. Just thought I would mention that at the moment I do about 14 km to the litre of gasoline, and as I've only done about 38,000 km in it, it will probably see me out, as the saying goes! Best decision I ever made was buying that car.

MTG is a screaming far right nutjob and the fact that she is in the house of Representatives speaks volumes about the mental state of the people who put her there.

Welcome back to Patong, and following on from your post, on Friday evening I went out with four friends for a lovely meal at Blue Beach Café and Restaurant, and after that decided to explore Bangla Road, and it was very busy, probably the busiest I've seen it since before Covid! To cut a long story short regarding my visit: – – Bangla Road was very busy. – Kangaroo Bar was packed to overflowing. – Bar Funk was about 50% full, which was good considering its recent level of patronage. – Soi Freedom was a mess and full of small bars and other spaces which didn't seem to know what they wanted to be – – bar/café/eating place/whatever, as well as average looking women and lady boys. A sad demise from previous times. – Black Horse bar had a few people in it, mostly sitting outside, probably because the music was so loud and thumping. – Ended up at Red Hot which was only about 30% full and also was shocked to be charged 230 baht for half glass of wine!! Overall, as Patong2 has said, "things definitely looking busier....... ". And I do remember the Kris Kristofferson song!
