I think my son had gripe as a baby.

Read it or try while rear ending the car in front of you.

blackcab,
Agree with you 100%. I haven't raised the issue and as far as I'm concerned she can keep it with my blessing.
regards.

Well this story really cheers me up. I'm going to Ubon Ratchathani Government hospital on Friday with a badly infected foot. My local hospital says they can do no more. I can't think of any other options, already stayed in Mukdahan hospital but they released me the next day.

blackcab,
I get your point, getting around for me is difficult, partially disabled from two strokes and a hip replacement operation along with other complications.
I would like to be able to do more like my own washing, my current machine is small and only takes small loads. My sister in law takes my washing about every 7/10 days then returns to do ironing.
She helps me with everything, shopping, 90 day trips etc.
Comes every day to change a dressing on my infected foot and will be taking me to Ubon Ratchathani hospital next Friday. Recently stayed with me in hospital for a short overnight stay.
I try/do help her every month with money as her husband passed away a couple of years ago.
She has a good heart. Hope that makes it clearer.

You made purchases and don't know who took the money, glad you don't look after my money.

Hope he got a free bag of rice, after all he's getting them changed tomorrow, tomorrow never comes.

Christmas Eve, my son's school had the usual entertainment night, singing dancing, martial arts and dancing. My ticket for a table cost 2,000 baht which included raffle tickets.
My sister in law took me along with her children, on arrival she filled out the raffle tickets with names. After two hours I decided I had enough, music too loud and being vibrated to death by the bass. My sister in law drove me home and then returned to the school, low and behold my son won the top prize in the raffle, a washing machine.
At 11pm everyone returned back, I was unaware of the win until the next morning, but where was the washing machine? I'm sure you can guess, yes they have gifted it to themselves and delivered it to their house.
As I payed for tickets is it sour grapes if I kick up a stink, they already have a large washing machine and I could do with a bigger one.
One thing to take into account, my sister in law does my washing, ironing and some cleaning for me. Also daily trips to hospital and every 90 days my run to Savannaket.

Thai Ways and More Thai Ways, sorry I can't remember the author but worth a read.

ddddave, I'm now in Mukdahan International hospital, Hooked up to an IV had my foot cleaned and dressed. The doctor has taken samples of blood and infected skin tissue. I will be here overnight and as long as it takes.
-
Yes I have been stupid in ignoring the problem. As soon as I was told yesterday I went to our local hospital. They declined to admit me but cleaned and dressed the foot, repeated this morning. My Lao trip tomorrow will take no more than one hour.
After I fully intend to seek help at Mukdahan International where if asked will gladly stay.

Gangrene was not mentioned. The smell given off is like smelly fish. I'm not diabetic. The foot was cleaned at my hospital and bandaged and I have to return today for the same process.

Yesterday I visited two local clinics after a month of pain in my right foot. First clinic declined to help and suggested I go straight to hospital, The foot is weeping fluid on the underside and between toes. Second clinic, Doctor said it's very serious infection and should go to hospital.
Went to my local hospital and they said very bad you should be admitted now, I declined at first stating I have to go to Lao on Wednesday. After a lot of discussion I agreed only to be told the head physician declined my admittance and offered a couple of alternative hospitals, Yasothon and Ubon Ratchathani.
My plans have changed and I will go to Mukdahan tomorrow, cross the bridge by pre arranged taxi. I will then go to Mukdahan International hospital on the way back.
That is about all I can say on the subject, if your wondering it's my wife's sister who helps me.
Any comments may be helpful so fire away.
Past history is two strokes, deep vein thrombosis and hip replacement surgery all in Thailand.

I recycle all my old plastic, can's, cardboard and electrical equipment,
You won't get a lot of money but better than trashing them, not sure of the procedure in Bangkok but out here in the sticks the recycle people show up every couple of months.

His head came in contact with the cement, that's ok then.
Lucky it wasn't concrete, what a load of toilet.

I agree with Sheryl, I went through the whole polaver a few years ago, two visits to get the doctors letter correctly worded for immigration while I was in hospital with photographs of myself in bed after surgery.

steve187, funny but I thought TV was about asking and discussing questions,
not just for the self righteous few who know everything.

My son's passport will need renewing early next year. Before I start reading through ream's of instructions on filling out the application. At what age will he be eligible for a full 10 year book.
He is currently 13 years old.
-
Three passport size photographs of yourself, one for the Lao visa the other two for the Thai.
-
Should attract all the right tourists.

My son is also 13, he has British and Thai passports. Both passports were obtained in the Uk without any problems. If you have his birth certificates, one British, one Thai I don't see a problem. For the British passport I believe all you will need is the birth certificate, photographs, correctly filled out application and money.
My son's passport expires soon and I believe my wife can do this in Bangkok so no big deal.
Best of luck.

There was a short news article today/this morning on CNN about this problem.
Someone with brains has come up with the solution, the product is 100% biodegradable, comes from the natural waste of a food source.
Sorry I can't for the life of me think of the name of the company or the name of the waste produce.
At least it's a step in the right direction.
