I thought they were already here, trying to talk to some supposed people I often think "what planet are you from" now I know.

Watch Sir Les Patterson, looks like most farangs here.

Thanks Ubon, I know as we have done this many times before, without the children though. I think I'm clued up now and thanks for the replies.

I will be going with their mother, the husband died earlier this year.

Thanks for the replies, house registration, are children of that age required to be in the book.
They are not my children but they are Thai.
-
Ok, kids are off school now for holidays and no one is available to look after them.

Sorry if I was not clear enough, I will just leave, cross the bridge and return. Receive another 90 days in my passport, do a little shopping in Mukdahan and home. I have been doing this for years without problems. My question was more to do with the children.

I will be traveling to Lao on Monday 28th, 90 day report, in and out. My problem involves children of 4 and 5 years old. My sister in law who will be taking me seems to think the children will be able to clear immigration with just their birth certificates, and travel across free. This will be from Mukdahan and I will be using the services of a taxi, same driver I always use as he is aware of my disability.
To avoid any embarrassment on the day is my sister in law correct.

One week ago to the day my wife's grandmother passed away. I was asked to fire a shot from my gun signaling the death to nearby villagers. I duly obliged and returned home. Later in the afternoon I returned for the monks ceremony only to be told to sit outside.
I'm told being unable to sit on the floor is a problem as sitting on a chair would make me higher than the monks. Is this correct and what would you have done.
I didn't attend any further visits by the monks or the funeral. I am partially disabled and sitting on floors is a no no. Am I in the bad books now.

So what is cheap to you?

Try the Rembrandt Hotel, restaurant is on the 23rd floor, great views at night and has a balcony for a fag or breather.
Book in advance for a good table.

Being held down by three men before surgery on my hip for a spinal tap, I thought this is going to hurt, language came out of me I can't post.

Just a normal day with the Morons

I had insurance with AIA had two strokes and was told I had the wrong type of stroke, no payout except for hospital fees and drugs.

There used to be a floating restaurant near the old Consulate maybe good for a few hours although it's been lashing down with rain here all morning.

Try Private Dancer sums up Thailand very well - sorry can't remember the author, easy to read.

When you start fancying the mother in law, or when you ask for your beer to be put on ice, just to see the waitress pouring the contents into an ice bucket.

Thankyou, that sounds like the route I will take. I could drive in the event of an emergency but prefer not to as it involves lifting my right leg with my left hand, not fair on other road users. Car is automatic but in the event of an accident I think I would be in deep doo doo.
-
Thanks again, as I gave up driving and have help when I need to shop I don't think I will be pursuing that option.

Thanks, I was at Makro, Mukdahan yesterday and noticed disabled parking spaces closed off by mobile barriers, Above the area was a sign which said disabled with a kind of disabled symbol, can't be any clearer as I paid little attention to it.
No body was abusing the system and at the time didn't feel like enquiring. So just wondering.
-
Is it a requirement to display a disabled sticker in your car to be able to use the reserved parking spaces at some stores. If the answer is yes, what does one do and where do you apply, including any letters required plus cost.

My Isuzu Dmax has a big plate over the engine, can't get to the plugs or anything if I wanted to.
-
Well done the question has finally been answered.

I don't get your point. It works for me with a yellow book and I'm not here unlawfully. I didn't know there was a difference, can't speak or read Thai.
Whats with all this loud noise?......

I take offense to your remark on handcaped people, being of the disabled myself, at times I know I'm a nuisance and get in people's way at times. It embarrasses me at times and my rock star day's are long gone, I apologize.
