You've had too much sun - run for your life

I traveled to Lao from the Mukdahan side with two passports old and new. No problems or extra fees incurred.

Angele,
I live in the N/East, Loengnoktha, Yasothon. As a guide 40 minutes drive to Mukdahan, Friendship bridge to Lao or the other way 2.5 hours drive to Ubon Ratchathani.
Being partially disabled I could offer little assistance also non attain speaking.
Regards
Paul

Angela,
I take on board what you are saying. I don't mind them but worry what the long term effects of the droppings would do to my ceilings. I now the entry exit point but would be reluctant to attempt this at night.
I have no access to my roof area so it's a problem with stragglers.

I'm talking about 100 plus. A small colony, a 12 bore might help.

I have never heard of any pest control but as an after thought could they be gassed or driven out by high frequency sound. Buggered if I'm going to touch them. They are large and imagine they could give a nasty bite.

Hi,
Over the last couple of years I have had what seems an ever increasing number of Bats living in my roof area. I have Googled Bats of Thailand but cannot identify them, they are large with an estimated wing span of 18 inches. My questions are, is there a humain way of moving them on/out, are they protected by law and what sort of damage do you think they will do if left unchecked. I'm thinking Bat poo in quantities on my ceilings. I am talking around 100 plus of the critters.
Thanks for sensible answers if that's possible.

Hi All,
I'm 59 turn 60 in October, now partially disabled and living alone in the N/East of Thailand. I have been here for 15 years plus, not been back to the UK for just over 10 years.
I'm married and have a 12 year old son, my son lives next door with his grandmother, he has dual nationality.
Some 8 years ago I suffered 2 strokes brought on by DVT and hypertension. My wife was always with me throughout all my ordeals and countless hospital visits. Perhaps I should point out we lived in the UK for some years and she obtained British Citizenship, passport.
Sold the house in UK and moved here, built a nice house and lived comfortably for a number of years.
Walking for me was a problem but we got around and I could still drive without problems.
Just over two years ago she decided to seek her fortune in Bangkok, landed herself a good job and now travels the world.
Since my strokes there was no activity in the bedroom which resulted in her sleeping in a different room.
Since she has gone I have had hip replacement surgery which became infected resulting in further hospitalization.
Financially I'm OK, but now can only get around with a frame or tripod walker, driving my car is not safe.
I receive help from my sister inlaw for 2 or 3 hours a day.
Where do I stand (no pun intended) with the house if I was to divorce on the grounds of desertion, how would this affect my Visa status, could someone of my choice move into the house with me (5 bedrooms 3 bathrooms) without there being a big problem.
My wife contributes nothing financially apart from paying for our son's education.
I rarely get further than the front gate these days but keep training in the hope I become more mobile soon.
Thanks for reading and have fun in your replies - I'm up for it.

Come to my village any Friday night and we can start an over 59ers club, or should I know better. I guess it will be home alone with my Chang and IPad. Dream on.
What was your scariest moment in Thailand?

Building a nice house, having two strokes, being left part disabled, being told long haul flights were too dangerous and the wife leaving me. No where to return to in the UK.
The realization I'm trapped.
