These so-called ‘public health restrictions’ are primarily a concession to the police, who have lost much of their income stream. The RTP need absurd, nonsensical rules....so they can extort money.....from people who run afoul of these absurd, nonsensical rules.

Taxi drivers have no real reason to ‘up their game’ when everyone else in Thailand is looking to rip off/cheat/gouge visitors to the maximum extent possible.

Will Bangkok's nightlife recover?  No, it’s effectively dead…the government has knocked it out and and the police are busy sucking the life out of its unconscious body. It's gone....and it won't be back.

An amazing man. All these long, stressful, painful years working tirelessly to save the Thai people…and yet...not a single grey hair on the dear leader's head.

Let’s hope these sloppy, ill-conceived, and poorly planned impromptu photo ops won’t be replacing the slick, glamorous, giant vinyl boards so essential to modern crime fighting.

But…there are no brown envelopes on offer. Does the US unreasonably and foolishly expect Thai government ministers to sacrifice personal profit in the interest of public health?
