If this goes, it may end in civil war. Are those guys that stupid ?
USA is becoming the absolut shame of the world, with this barbarian crusade back in the past.
I can not even say of the civilised world. That's definitely not civilisation, but prehistoric obscurantism.
And it's not just about abortion, witch is a not arguable right of women. Same with sex. What's next ? Put in prison adulterians ? gays ? No condom sex (in the name of health) ?...
Total shame.

Phiphat quoted Anutin as saying that, if the “Thailand Pass” is to be scrapped, tourists who are to visit Thailand must have received at least three doses of vaccine.
And another non-sense ????
Johnson is one shot.
Booster is 3 month after last shot i think.
Recovered need only one extra shot right now.
And what the point between scrapping TP and increasing the mandatory shots ?...
To say the least...

FG = Free to Go ?
Tried at 00:01, was fine for me.
Question : it is possible to come before the date ? Looks like...
I can change the flight ticket.
BUT :
-> I doubt i can change the insurance (but i could take an extra one maybe)
-> Risky for boarding ? (main question).
And at arrival ? (i doubt since it's just for free tax/money).

Not to mention that said letter or documents, which will almost certainly have been provided in PDF format, will, as things stand, need to be converted to JPEG's for Thailand Visa application purposes - a far from straightforward task for anyone who isn't a whizzo IT geek.
One would earnestly hope that, as part of the modifications which are currently been made to the Thailand Pass application process following the scrapping of Test & Go, it may, in future, be possible to upload supporting docs in PDF format. But I'm not holding my breath that this will be the case.
Is that confirmed ?
Would be stupid to not accept pdf, insurance for example sent a pdf.
EDIT : actually very easy to convert on a mac. No problem.

Makes me laugh.
War on the smokers, war on the vapot..heu...ers...
But nothing, absolutely nothing serious, done for pollutions !
Fields burning, car/truck exhausts, even trash burning... Kill WAY more than cigarettes (there are datas about that).
Same with ganja : be a good drug addict with pills, and boose, but hey what ? you smoke ganja sometimes ? You are an addict ! a criminal ! ????
This world is just so stupid. ????

If they legalize vaping my girlfriend will be happy, since she has to change to regular cigarettes when we're in Thailand.
I will be happy too, because then i don't have to deal with the smell of regular cigarettes.
She vape with no flavours so that's nice for me as non smoker.
Personally i wish she would stop vaping, but her choice and at least she turned from cigarettes to vaping, which had several advantages.
So yeah i hope Thailand legalize it, so she can vape again in Thailand.
So she likes to "smoke"... What are you complaining about ?! ????

Noise. For me that's a huge difference. Scooters all klaxon (horn ?) all-the-time ! (and nobody will stop to let pedestrians pass, btw).
And generally much more noisy, not as polite, not so good quality.
Nothing too bad though... if you can deal with the noise (i cannot).

Currently, International Health Regulations specify that a dose of yellow fever vaccine is valid for 10 years. Therefore, at present, travelers to countries with a yellow fever vaccination entry requirement must have received a dose of yellow fever vaccine within the past 10 years.
Totally the same vaccine
Nope, it has been reassessed. Changed i mean. Since years now. They admitted that it was valid for lifetime.

Looking for this *** ...
FWD has the front page en english, but if i choose "buy online", it's in Thai language... ????
How to buy this thing with no complication ? I need the acceptance to be quick, and the policy to be accepted for TP, that's all.

I'm an expat from UK living in Thailand for many years on a retirement extension. If I want to take a two week holiday to, say, Vietnam, will I just be able to get a re-entry permit before travel and be able to return without having to get a Thailand Pass, insurance etc.?
I doubt about that (but i do not know).

There is no shift to antigen testing. There is no more mandatory testing at all ! (except for non-vaccinated).
Misleading info here.

It's a bet... that the old system is still in full operation (i mean as quick/as slow), the hotel send the confirmation (knowing they may have to refund), etc.
And that it will be quicker than wait the 29.4 nobody knows.
I have a stupid question btw :
Do one need to put a phone number when applying ? The confirmation has to be on the phone ?
Or could be on paper or computer ?
Because it bother me a little, have to think roaming maybe, or can i use my Thai number once arrived ?
If i remember they say somewhere you have to download ThaiChana something... on arrival is ok ?
-
I could be instant (like the esta for usa and likes), if their system is automated.
Vaccine check, insurrance check, good to go (only red flags would be manually processed).
If so there is no reason for delay.
But i kind of doubt it works so well (and i do not mean for Thailand only).
-
No need of tests for vaccinated.
Insurance is requested for both.
The tricky thing is now to anticipate the DELAY of Thai Pass approval.
Because you first have to buy the air ticket i guess.
Could be a LOT of registrations the first weeks starting 29.4
What you guys do you think ? 2-3 days for approval ? 1 week ? More ?

for May entry you can register only from 29.4.
Is that sure ? I mean, i did not read it, but did not search.
Amazing good news anyway this end of the Test and Lotery !
Was not expecting this before months, or at best weeks.
Now just hope the Land of Smile will get rid quick of the mask (Land of Mask not being too appealing for tourism either), the business restrictions, the color zones... But hope has return ! ????

Vietnam is very noisy. Millions of scooters, all horning (klaxon) non-stop !!! Day or night.
Same in Philipines, crazy traffic noise, permanently !
Thailand does not have this problem (it's a "can not stay long" problem for me, i do not like to live in massive noise).
And there are many, many, other differences.
Personnaly i would rather consider Cambodia or Laos, before Vietnam.
But Thailand is the most "civilised" country (i mean confortable, modern, polite), by far. And if i am not wrong, the only good visa for long stay is the Elite Visa. They just don't want to keep the cheap charlies ????

Keep yourself better informed.
Has been posted here too, and it's official : no fewer, no difficulty of breathing = no hospitalization (and in fact hospitals refuse the Thais with no symptoms).

Excellent news, if confirmed and real enough. I was not expecting May, i am still not.
But the main issue is about medical incarceration (for money rip-off).
"and a shortening of the quarantine period for infected visitors with mild symptoms"
Not good enough. The rule for Thais is "no hospitalization", it has to be the same for foreigners. Right now it's a total medical non-sense, so definitely a gross rip-off.
The more they wait to withdraw this rip-off, the more people will find it unacceptable, damaging Thailand image and business.
So what's left if this news is confirmed ?
- Vaccine ok (i mean still like most other countries)
- Insurrance... ok.
- Thai Pass is just hurting tourism.
- Test on arrival is still pretty bad, if connected to forced hospitalization with no symptoms.
They could make it simple ASAP, omicron is everywhere in the country already, business need to restart now (many other countries have understand this).
And btw they could get rid of masks, restrictions on businesses, etc.

I was doing the real-fake ticket years ago. One day i saw one company was cheating/not reliable.
And if you don't get the ticket you will have to hurry to get another one.
imo for 50 or 100 box... really guys ? I should not be on this thread maybe ????
Or it's really for those who want to play. Personally i find the stress of travels those days far enough to not add any, to play or to save a few box ????
I travel a lot, and now i always take refundable, closest-cheapest country, real ticket. Have the money back a few weeks/month later. Zero risk. Zero loss or a small fee. Peace of mind... for the continuation ticket. +Cash. +Hotel booking.
That was my last 2 cents ????
Transiting in Suwanapumi. Do i need a Thai Travel Pass?
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits

Would suggest to do the now easy Thai Pass.
Otherwise you could be in trouble if :
- Any delay ending in missed connected flight
- No transfer desk or whatever you may need to stress about
