And is it no wonder why Thai kids don't ask questions or express opinions. If you do meet one, they probably didn't have Thai teachers for their formal education.

The lack of fostering such abstract thinking within a classroom, not happy with their salary / daily life,  lack of professionalism, twisted morals, and inability to express opinions when sharing in dialogue.

These are often qualities of T teachers, women more so than men IMO. I'm glad at times I don't have a kid here going to school.

How does this work?   New claims for unemployment go up 475K every week yet jobs created of 355K for the month and everyone has a roaring hard-on?

I understand your point and you do have a good one.  Besides, given the stagnant wages for years alongside low workers' benefits it's only the wealthy or the uninformed who tend to focus on these unemployment stats rather than addressing policy.

Really? 475K per week? You got a source for that?

Albeit, the figures may not always be accurate but the very way they measure unemployment is off and is done in such a way to look good. How so?

Unemployment statistics don't consider those who are not seeking employment and those who are working only part-time.

I appears that the stimulus bill has finally passed. I am curious as to weather or not I have to complete and send in my tax forms to the IRS for 2020  before I can be considered eligible. Last year I received the first stimulus check in my American bank account before the IRS received my tax forms for 2019. It is the same back account that my social security is sent to every month.

You actually didn't need to file if you signed up early enough for the first initial covid relief last year. And you mentioned you did receive the first check. I didn't file because, I don't make enough and got both checks.

But at this point it seems you do need to file to qualify for the Recovery Rebate Credit if one did not receive payments yet.

If you didn’t get the full Economic Impact Payment, you may be eligible to claim the Recovery Rebate Credit

The IRS and Treasury have issued all first and second Economic Impact Payments.

If you didn’t get any Economic Impact Payments or got less than the full amounts, you may qualify for the Recovery Rebate Credit and must file a 2020 tax return to claim the credit even if you don’t normally file. See Recovery Rebate Credit for more information.

Yea if you just row then its not much of a problem. Its not a major issue for me as I am used training in my home gym. But recently i went to a gym near my own home. It was cheaper (but almost no aircon i was sweating like crazy) but it had multiple machines for the same exercise and better free weights. Still location is important and I can do a lot with free weights.

'..sweating like crazy.' Isn't that alright while working out?

I have bought two from EastWest Fitness. Best investment in exercise equipment ever. My multigym, which I bought second hand is unused, and the my old exercise bikes are not a patch on the rower.

Would you say you prefer an exercise bike rather than jogging outside?

    What a dead forum.

Starting with bench press probably reflects insecurity over one's pecs. For me the starting exercise (after warmup) depends on which split of 3.

Lower body: deadlifts, ha. Squats come next last, just before leg extensions to balance the knee strain.

Upper: pulldowns (extending shoulder warmup) > military press > rows > bench press--similar balance concept. Cardio & abs: intervals, etc.

No disrespect but based off all your various posts I have read so far, you seem sort of a negative type of person especially for someone who is into fitness.

As I mentioned before I suggest to keep lifting and do more lower body! Make up for those insecurities and personality you have! Cheers.

Unnecessary, as the gym supplies cold water. I bring my own water bottle, however. But I'm American; you might wish to go with the paper cups.

Why would one wish to go with paper cups? I'm usually drinking something better than water but that's just how I do it. I even suggest coffee before too.

That's true, and in general a lot of foreigners do complain and I've often said myself they should go elsewhere. I understood the post above as being somewhat satirical rather than negative.

Of course it's satirical! But with regards towards foreigners who tend to 'complain,' I find the best thing to do is just steer away from such characters. Just about anywhere there will be complainers or a staff room filled with it. All the while some of the very same people relay this information back to Thai staff..

It's one thing to complain but it's another to objectively say how it is here even amongst foreigners working together.

Already addressed here. I'm finding many farangs don't do memory much.

Keep lifting! You need it! See ya in there! Hey, I mean, some guys deserve a good 'smackin.' I crack myself up, but, I do appreciate the 'meow.' Particularly, the effort put into it. Funny guy. Asian-sensation! Nice video!

Sounds pretty much like Netanyahu's views, in reverse.

The Palestinians are no saints, nor 100% righteous. It is perfectly legit to criticize them, or not fully identify with each and every element of their struggle.

Maybe let the ICC know how you feel, given that they assert the Palestinians might have committed war crimes as well. How dare they, eh?

I will disagree, about being in reverse of his views, given the history and context of the situation. Well, the thing is one group of people are 'occupiers' and the other group are original land owners & those that resist the occupation. Who encroaches on land and continues to do so?

You mentioned 'might.' So at this time, has PA been actually been charged with war crimes? More than the nuclear armed country, Israel? I should read up on it a bit more.

  11. It really varies on the school. Some schools that are lower tier might not even consider you much as you have such a high education. But then again, you could be a blessing for them.  Your aim are the higher tiered schools, especially for the better pay given your credentials. But your question is about getting that teacher's license..Remember that a work permit is easy to obtain. It is the teacher's license that is more of a hassle.

But here we are again, facing this sort of ambiguity when it comes to bureaucratic 'by the book' sort of paperwork processing here. But your MA is in Education so I believe you are golden. Just take a look at these ads for some schools, as they are quite 'wishful' to find someone with a MA in Education. You will be fine I think. I suppose no need to produce a BA when you have a MA in Ed.

Worst comes to worse, being a good teacher, the school may help you in a variety of ways, if you happen to not get approved by Kru Sa Pa for the teacher's license.

Someone correct me if I'm off on this.

  12. Well it seems a lot of schools prefer one such as yourself. One that will have a masters and particularly in Education. I think there are a total of 3 waivers one can get. Each being 2 years. But maybe someone knows better than I.

You seem to be making excellent progress on the path you are currently on. Having that PGCEi, I think is enough to go just about anywhere.

Yeah it is quite a dead forum. But hey, I'm down to comment. I know you are American due to how you typed. Correct me if I am wrong.

Yeah I never really questioned why I start with bench, I guess it's habit. Normally, rather than resting for awhile, I do either back extensions or sit-ups in between sets. Speaking about 'warmup,' I'm starting to be more inclined to warm up myself.

Interesting for your lower body as I think doing leg press/extension before squat is the way to go.

Yeah for uppers I usually do towards the end.

Do you bring anything to drink?

I am sorry, you are correct. Not sorry about the PC liberals but for thinking the good guys don't care,

I consider myself progressive and at the moment I'm disgusted with liberals and their petty concerns about gender and stuff like cancelling Mr. Potato head. What they are doing is dividing everyone (I think it's on purpose by the wealthy) but I consider it an infringement on personal liberties also.
