Sorry.....have just got to ask out of pure curiosity.......what is special about any shampoo?

Depends on your health physical and emotional condition, obviously it will also depend on your diet, environment, age etc.
My daughters have very different hair, their mother is from a particular island in the Caribbean so the indigenous population will be different to those of other islands.
One has thick straight hair the other Afro, both typical of their ethnic background.
One tried to straighten her hair and lost it all, so once grown back hair care had to be different.

Having to help a child trying to get ready for school whose hair takes an hour to brush / comb makes a suitable hair care treatment ( shampoo et. al. ) important.

I lived and worked in many countries from extreme heat to extreme cold, often working outside, and finding a single hair care treatment for myself took time but I found baby shampoo to be fine.

  2. Download LINE to your laptop.

    Once download finished open LINE.

Once loaded, may take a few seconds, a QR box will appear.

Point your phone at the laptop, your phone screen should be showing the QR code, they should recognize each other, tap the QR code on your phone, wait a second or so, you should be ready to go.

When ever you turn your internet connection or laptop off and wish to use LINE again you will need to do the recognition procedure again.

You can save items from your phone to your laptop but remember the limit period is 12 days, I think.
Also when you "save as" the items from the phone they will not be available to open again..

    Good luck

I've seen this bird around the Udon area.....but only from the top of a highway walk-over.  It overlooks a big TaKhop tree (https://puechkaset.com/ตะขบ/).  The birds feed on the fruit that are near the top of the tree.  They're easy to spot because of their color, but suspect they don't ground feed.

OP - thanks for the info, the tree looks like the one near my house where sparrows stay / nest

  4. I have visited, worked here, retired here for 27 years.
I worked in farming so was always out and about.
Where I live now has trees, grass, livestock, garden ( family owners since the day dot and they have just cut down a large area of ancient trees etc. to build a bungalow for family member ),
In all my time in Thailand I have never seen this bird before.
Unfortunately it flew in to a window was either stunned or killed and when I found it the ants had just appeared.
It weighs only a few grams and I am guessing it is a male because of the colour.

What bird is it please ?

Here is an old, but probably still valid, thread on this topic. I recall being unable post some liquid cosmetics out of the UK a number of years ago.

Thanks Moonlover, yes found your posting when searching on my phone.
When I sent by DHL it cost around 6K baht the shampoos etc about 1,000 baht, however my daughter says the items are either not available or much much more expensive than sending from here.    She has a form of Caribe afro hair ( took her about an our to brush etc every morning before school ) so products are much more specialised, however a common brand of shampoo here seems to work well as do the conditioners.

  6. Any one tried sending liquids to UK by EMS ?
Normally send by DHL twice a year, as products not available or very expensive in UK.   Can get "off the shelf" here.

My local PO in Banphai won't accept.

Had same problem sending Christmas cards in 2020 - yes cards !  KK no problem.
Banphai did accept a large box of childrens gifts and no meat / fish Thai snacks - Thai logic ?!
Did send a limited edition T-shirt one year by EMS but my daughter had to pay duty in UK

    • Haha 2
  7. I have LINE and Whatsapp on my laptop and phone.
Use LINE for Thailand and Whatsapp for UK.

    I run Win7 Pro.
Had some difficulties getting LINE to accept being in 2 places at once a few times, solved it more by chance than following online instructions how to do.

When I turn my laptop back on in the morning Whatsapp starts first then LINE for which I show the QR code.

Check Hospital Website for specialist Dermatology Dept / Doctors.

Make online appointment. Queens a Heart Center. KK Ram Hosp. has a Dr. Charoen C. Derma Doc…… from Internet Search……

Had non-malignant Skin Cancer top of my back treated two years ago. Cut Out the eight Large Areas & Froze the ten Smaller Pieces. Your 15 year interval before returning is encouraging !

    Thanks for your comments.
I know other hospitals in KK offer treatment but trying to only visit one hospital due to Covid.

Much of my working life since 1961 ( started in England ) has been outside in farming and in South America, Middle East, Asia and other "sunny" places , perhaps before that my few years surfing on Australian beaches back in late 60's.   ( I body surfed spending hours in the water;  used olive oil for skin lotion as it didn't come off in the salty water - of course skin cancer was not really heard of in those days ).     Never liked wearing a hat.

It does nto have anyone specif8ically specializing/expereinced in skin cancer as far as I know. Best dermatologist there is probably Asst. Prof. Charoen  Choonhakarn who can be seen at Srinagarind or also at KK Ram Hospital

Thanks Sheryl, may try Queen's KK first as I am there all day ( hospital always busy ) regarding pacemaker check and heart doctor.  Trying to limit my exposure to Covid by visiting just one hospital.

  10. Does the Queen's hospital at KKU Khon Kaen have a skin specialist for possible cancer?

Some 15 years ago I was treated in Bangkok for pre skin cancer and had areas of damage frozen.    It worked fine and all sites cleared up.
Now in the past weeks it seems to have returned.

I need to go to KK next month for pacemaker check so would visit a skin specialist on same day to avoid travel and Covid.

I had to check the date; I thought that I might have fallen asleep and woke up decades earlier.

Time for you to educate yourself on the myriad ways of obtaining the media you crave. There are Torrents and also websites that use File Hosters for their releases.

I'm not sure what you not having nor wanting a TV has to do with anything.

OP - I'm in my late 70's so re-educating myself won't be easy.
Although I had one of the first commercial computers out of the box with black screen and green text I had little spare time to enjoy it for pleasure; later traveled with a laptop under my arm for business from early 90's.
Not wanting a TV was just a way of saying no add-ons such as a box.

Unless you bought a huge computer monitor, watching on a TV is probably more comfortable.  You don't need to use it for receiving TV signals, just hook it up to any of the very reasonably priced boxes for streaming or playing saved digital content.

OP - for my needs a laptop size screen is fine and no the screen is not huge.
It's  not the screen size I am asking about it's an alternative to Dailymotion.
My time spent viewing for pleasure is only around 2 hours per day so not worth spending on a TV + box.

  13. I don't have / want a TV, prefer to download, watch as and when I please , generally 1 - 2 hours per evening.
There are plenty of TV series from UK, Europe and a few American and Australian. series.

Generally I download from Dailymotion, easy to use, and many European series with subs.
There does seem to be more incomplete series and Asian series than before.

Youtube has become more and more restrictive and most TV serials do not have complete episodes.

They also seem to block downloading.

Can anyone recommend an alternative ( free ) site to Dailymotion / Youtube where it is possible to download TV series.
