In a BBC report Jonathan Head described how discussion etc had been banned and many Thais didn't understand the details of the new charter.

Sounds like this is the UK, where the majority didn't understand the details and consequences of the Brexit referendum, however there was discussion allowed there.

But honestly, even in "civilized" countries most of the voters will not understand the details if a new charter needed to be voted on. What they understand is what the side they want to listen to tells them.

Ive had a terrible run with Makita stuff here I refuse to buy it anymore as it seems to last warranty period and then die.

have had a great run with AEG stuff and I love my little 12v drill driver, battery lasts well and has no issue 10mm holes in concrete.

  3. I'm in the market for a cordless hammer drill. This is considered a hobby machine.

I'm going between the Makita HP457DWE and the Dewalt DCD776, both are 18V, and the Dewalt has slightly higher spec but is also little more expensive.

Which of both brands has the overall better quality in your experience

you people have either been very protected, or you have walked around with your head in a bucket of sand, ghosts are every where, I have seen plenty in Australia, and have seen a couple since living here in Thailand. I would love to see your reaction if you run into one when on your own. LOL by the way not saying the image is a ghost but if you look you will see his face, hair, neck and left shoulder. yes no shirt, do not think invited to wed/furn.

    Ever considered consulting AA ?

  5. I remember many years ago a Scandinavian guy named Lars, who lived in Bangkok, and claimed to be some kind of DEA agent.

He would come to Pattaya for a bar brawl with a orange American limousine of the sixties, complete with flash lights, sirens and official looking ensigns on the car and with one or two escorting cars with armed guards in uniform.

Then they would park in front of the bar, with the visibly armed guards standing at the entrance of the bar, while Lars made a party inside. The guards wore uniforms with a badge on the shoulder that said " born to kill".

In the early hours they would make a trip to walking street, complete with sirens active, and drive through walking street with a couple of bar girls sitting inside the car.

Met him a few times actually, but never got the real story of it, and at one point he disappeared without a trace.

As opposed to staying in the EU, which is going to fail eventually anyway, taking everybody with it except for Germany (who will have the fix in) and to a lesser extent France. But it will be death by a thousand cuts, so everybody will get acclimatised to their impending fate. And they will have little say in it all because Germany will be pulling the strings, assisted by France. The 'Greece Strategy' for everyone. No thanks, I'll take the short-term pain in exchange for the long-term gain.

The EU may eventually fail if some more selfish nations decide to get out, because their population doesn't have the brains to look beyond the idea of the union and are only interested in direct benefits.

The guys in the photos look like a bunch of clown boys.  When the coup happened two years ago, there was no doubt who was in charge telling the military what to do, at least north of Chiang Mai.  You can surely expect more of that to come.

The guys in which photos? Are do you have more photos then the rest of us?

I think I know who was in charge of the military after the coup. I think it was the same as before the coup though.

I wouldn't, but I do remember the Thaivisa predictions during the financial crisis of the Pound dropping to the 30 Baht level and god knows from there. It didn't happen. I am not about to poop my pants over the predictions of such movers and shakers residing in Pattaya, despite having moved there as dropping 50 Grand per hand at Blackjack in Monte Carlo was becoming plain boring.

You thought it should have dropped to 30 Baht within a week after the refrendum, if there was any truth in the predictions?

Hold on mate, we're only little over a month yet, and the British government has just made clear that they don't welcome a recovery of the Pound, but have given the go ahead for a further decline.

How else do you think they gonna safeguard their lame promises that a Brexit would not affect exports?

I am simply amazed that people that either I consider may be intelligent or those that just consider themselves intelligent are actually trying to defend this pathological liar. The game is up guy's, you can stop. The damage you do to your names defending this piece of crap is incredible.

Trump is unable to shut his mouth. No lets look at the positive aspects if he is elected as President. -

There will be no more need for wikileaks.

We will have four years of wars, perhaps many longer if they let him in the room with the red button. - Good for defence companies.

He will bankrupt the nation. - Good for his sons property investment business who can clean up on all the foreclosures.

At last we will really find out if the moon landings were a hoax and 9/11 was an inside job.

Trump does not care for the Republican party and their ethos, he will do and say anything to get to the top. He wants to be the 21st C Napoleon The Emperor of the USA, and just like the clown he is, we have clowns on the forum who will defend him regardless. You CANNOT defend a pathological liar.

If I were head of a country waiting for around 1.7 Billion and the US came good to their word and gave me back 400 Million, I would probably say, 'you know what, lets establish some trust, let those 4 Americans go". For the right wing nut jobs on here you would be down on bended knees asking the President to pay a billion dollars per person if it were your son or daughter! But the President DID NOT pay a ransom.

I also have my own top secret news for you. The Federal Reserve sends aircraft around the globe every week FULL of cash.

If Trump makes it to POTUS it will show the world that even the biggest idiot can get elected in that job, we actually knew that already since GW Bush, but that supposed to be a public secret.

He's not gonna succeed in bankrupting the country, since GW cleared that job for him already.

But you are correct that there will be no need for wiki leaks anymore, because there will be no secrets, and for sure no wars with nations that should have been Americas allies instead of competitors for the past decades.

If Trump starts a war, it will be against the race that deserves to be eradicated, and he will win that war hopefully without pushing that dreaded red button. But if he needs to most of the world population will support it.

But people do get jailed for deliberately trying to stir up civil unrest by maliciously spreading lies at crucial and sensitive times.

Did you read the lies and distortions in their letters' content that was published in the media?

Truth, honor, ethics - possible concepts that go completely over your head.

No I didn't read the published letters, wasn't even aware they were published, but since you obviously read them I'm sure you will be so nice to post a link.

4 US hostages and $400 million paid.

Those nice round numbers do nothing to dissuade the allegations it was a ransom payment.

While I agree that Obama probably is telling a white lie, and that the money was used as ransom, would your comments be same if one of the 4 Americans was a family member or if Obama wasn't on your most hated list?

The same freezing as with my reply to Robblok happened with my previous reply to you, and it took me exactly 3 minutes to get any page of the forum loaded again.

This time clicking on the notification pop up worked, but throughout the past few days I have had numerous time outs with clicking on unread content or any post in that page.

My post I made about 20 minutes ago as a reply to Robblok in another thread ended as a frozen page " saving " and i had to reload the forum to see my reply was added.

    @Berty100 - That is constructive.......

My mistake, I thought this thread was for feedback, not brown-nosing.

I get a notification pop up of your reply, click on it nothing happens, not even attempt to load.

I go to my notifications, and click there, again nothing happens.

I had to reload from unread content, and lucky it actually loaded, and then go to the thread again.

    It's not constructive , I know, it's a reality
