  1. This lines up with what I heard about how Thais can register when it is not "walk-in" like in Samut Prakan over the weekend. But yeah super inefficient, because these provinces are often also not very well organised. If you live near Bangkok, make an appointment with Medpark, wait for your confirmation and make the drive. You in and out in 40min including super easy free parking. Worth the half day trip? In my opinion yes. They don't ask which province you from you just need to be on their list.
  2. not everyone 60+ here ???? check the studies yourself. 1 shot gives you a good protection against death at least.
  3. yep Today a Japanese guy couldn't stop yelling at them because he can't fly to Japan with the Astra it seems, but yeah also under 60 and no med certificate so he got Astra in the end. It's nowadays super empty. I had 1 person waiting before me, so not that many people anymore like we saw on day 1. Also enough Pfizer there so far in my cabin alone she had 40 Pfizer doses (which give 3-4 each or?)
  4. 9 Registrations later and 1 Medpark visit I got my first Pfizer shot. As expected Medpark is your best bet still, if you can get an appointment there I would even drive there 2-3 hours from somewhere else. They are well organised and you in and out in 40min. The other 8 registrations I did with hospitals via the pages well known and the government never leaded to anything so far.
  5. Got my Pfizer today as well at Medpark. Super well organised and 40min you in and out. No more queues or so.. I literally was shot 5min after I entered. I went in the afternoon at the time of my appointment. How did I get there? Well.... don't give up. 1. Submitted without underlying diseases 2. Submitted again with underlying diseases and got a med certificate from a hospital for 400 THB. The 100 KG rule is still stupid but hey I don't mind they make the rules not me. Your best shot is to get a nice medical certificate from a nice hospital and register with Medpark if you under 60 years. I would even drive 2 hours there if you got an appointment. All the rest signups never worked out for me. A lot of discussion in front of Medpark ???? some people got only offered Astra because they didn't have that certificate etc
  6. I checked exactly this topic the last days to make a decision for myself if I should take 1 shot of Astra. In my opinion (there will be different ones) one shot of Astra or Pfizer should protect you 70-80% from death when you maybe not super old (under 50). That's the number I only care about. Checkout Google and search about it a bit you find different studies not all say the same. As we have the Delta variant here only that is important.
  7. To get the Pfizer Jab for my family we woke up at 3am, being there at 4am , jabbing started at 08:30 to 09:00. Number was 100 ???? from 1300 ... Sounds stupid but if you can get a Pfizer jab I would drive 300km or wait 5 hours earlier etc .. just being realistic here. Again I just hope they keep their word and give 50-150k Pfizer to us foreigners. But yeah so far I am realistic it is all a hoax ... signup then nothing and I signed up with underlying condition. Lets see next week, I really hope Joe can donate us another 1 million Pfizer in September, that would help.
  8. Even in Bangkok and surrounding areas we don't get any appointments. Yes SOME (really not all) get Medpark, but that's about it so far. Really disappointing what the government did so far for us. It's a registration site with nothing after. Also never heard anything from most of these hospitals https://thailandintervac.com/ Meanwhile the local Pfizer rollout to Thais started, apart from Richard posting today I can say it was well organised with enough space around in Samut Prakan (Bang Plee Hospital). BUT as always Farang not allowed here ???? which I didn't expect to be but I couldn't resist asking while my family was waiting to get their first jab.
  9. sorry to correct you here but everywhere is written 100 KG OR BMI > 35 Meaning if they don't have everywhere a written error you are in with 100 KG + ( And yes you are right it makes 0 sense but I don't care at all )
  10. had to laugh hard when I heard that as well. 150k Pfizer, 48k registered normally it should be enough for everyone who wants ???? but hey welcome to Thailand at least it never disappoints us ????????
  11. I just go with these websites but yeah very Bangkok Focus https://thailandintervac.com/
  12. you not loosing your mind ???? we all in the same boat. No SMS , no Emails no Phone calls from different sites. I am also over 100 KG and registered for that. My feeling is, even they let us register they give only appointments to 60+ and really sick people. Which is okay for me personally, but they should clearly communicate that. But it's just a feeling ????
  13. Just be prepared to never get that confirmation email. I ended up writing [email protected] who then confirmed my appointment for Monday lol... Will go there in the afternoon should be quite empty then what I see from pics, a lot of people rushing in the morning times.
  14. Oh wow BNH and Bumrungrad answered you? Still waiting for these 2 you the first one I hear that got an appointment from these 2
  15. Thais have now vaccination walk-ins for Pfizer on the weekend in Bangkok Area just fyi (different quota) So I hope next week is when they really start with the Pfizer Rollout for the Foreigner if any Pfizer left ????
  16. My latest knowledge which I am happy to share. This is regarding Thais that want Pfizer, called today 2-3 hospitals (Bangkok area) for my wife to get Pfizer. These hospitals received Pfizer, but they not allowed to give it to people (yet). They declined today 200 people that wanted it and went there in person without an appointment they said. Everyone who wants Pfizer as a Thai has to register first and has to be approved by the government, but they <deleted> up because there is nothing to signup yet for the Thai people and everyone has just question marks. But hearing this, I am betting that Medpark is a "showcase" hospital for the American Ambassador that visited the place 2 days ago. See also all public statements from PM etc .. don't get me wrong Medpark is doing a good job as far as the reviews here go, but it seems they are the only ones giving Pfizer so far if you don't count medical workers. I also found today an advertisement for registration for Thais for Pfizer near Pattaya, so there are also 1-2 hospitals that got Pfizer and let Thais now register with underlying conditions. BUT in my personal opinion the vaccination starts earliest next week with Pfizer for the rest of the hospitals. But its good to hear that some hospitals received the Pfizer vaccination the last 24 hours, even if they not allowed to give it yet. That would also explain that we didn't get appointments yet or? Or they just overwhelmed with 40.000 Signups from us expats ????
  17. Yes and I think this information is wrong or none of these people is here at this forum. Keep in mind he is just the spokesman he gets the information told what he has to say / can say. So he says whatever the department says.
