Mr. Wuttisak Rueimkitkan, Pattaya deputy mayor, and officials from the Chonburi homeless center took part in inspecting the unauthorized homeless camp around 10 AM after many residents near Motorway Route 7 complained about the growing number of homeless people taking shelter beneath the road. After looking around, Wuttisak told The Pattaya News he found 3-4 makeshift tents and one family consisting of a father and his two daughters aged 4 and 14 years old. The homeless family was cramped in one tent, which concerned Wuttisak, so he stated he would try to contact the mother to come and pick up the daughters. A person connects Ethernet cables to ports. Illustration photo by Shutterstock Vietnam's Internet connection with other countries and territories is being impacted due to issues with the Asia Africa Europe 1 (AAE-1) undersea cable. A representative of an ISP said a shunt fault at the S1H cable section caused all the data on the AAE-1 line to be lost since the end of November. A shunt fault is common for undersea cables, usually caused by anchors, fishing vessels, strong ocean flows or even undersea creatures. The management unit of the AAE-1 has yet to provide a timeline to fix the issue. Vietnam's ISPs have already prepared plans to reroute data, but Internet connections from Vietnam to other countries and territories would still be affected depending on different time of the day. This Jan. 24, 2019 photo shows marijuana for sale during a stop at a dispensary on a cannabis tour organized by LA-based Green Tours in Los Angeles, California. AFP / Robyn Beck MANILA, Philippines — Advocates for the legalization of medical marijuana lamented that current rules on the medicinal use of the plant classified as a dangerous drug were too stringent. Current regulations allow the Food and Drug Administration to issue compassionate special permits to hospitals to avail of drugs, medical devices or food products which are not registered in the country, including processed medical cannabis. But Donnabel Trias-Cunanan, president and spokesperson of pro-medical marijuana organization Cannahopefuls, told senators during a hearing on Wednesday that applying for this is too tedious and “not compassionate at all.” Full Story: https://www.philstar.com/headlines/2022/12/07/2229211/medical-marijuana-access-rules-philippines-not-compassionate-advocates-say -- © Copyright Philstar 2022-12-07

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha will fly to Brussels to attend the commemorative ASEAN-EU summit, which marks the 45th anniversary of their diplomatic relations, according to an informed source. Prayut will join other ASEAN leaders on December 14th in meeting their EU counterparts. This is the first time ASEAN and EU leaders are meeting exclusively since the EU was granted strategic partnership status by ASEAN earlier this year. Both the current situations in Ukraine and Myanmar will be high on the agenda when they discuss political and security issues. The EU, as a group, has taken a hard-line approach to the war in Ukraine. ASEAN has more diverse positions regarding the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
