Just read the latest about the Thailand Pass in the Bangkok Post and am more confused then ever. For those that are already in the system at this moment will we be allowed to enter as planned? Or was everyone already in the system cancelled as of December 22, 2021? I thought the PM had said prior that those already in the Test & Go system would be allowed to enter as planned. I arrive on January 17th 2022 any issues?

Does this change anything for those ALREADY within the Thailand Pass system that are still arriving in the next few weeks?

If I get dragged off to a hospital at least it will all be filmed and plastered all over the world. Foreigners that get put into this situation need to warn everyone to just avoid Thailand altogether. It is all about $$$ has little to do with Covid. The Thai government has done little to get booster shots to the population or any vaccines for children. That shows where their focu$ is. A sincere apology from the PM would be nice.

Thailand Pass and mandatory Covid insurance sorry zero sympathy if the insurance companies fail. Along with the banks, and hospitals the biggest criminals the world has ever known.

Do you have to have an address in America to apply to Schwab to get the ATM card? And what limit do they have on the ATM card ?

I would have to agree with you. More than once I have witnessed a situation where both foreign men and women were being obnoxious and I warned them to quietly back off and leave. I often don,t get involved or just walk away and let the Thais have their way with them. I learned long ago to just avoid most foreigners all together. In all my travels never had a situation where I felt threatened by any Thais. And I have hung with some very questionable Thais at times and survived it.

Lucky for him the foreigner did not have a gun. Good there a picture of this clown to have on file just in case you have a encounter with Mr. Mao

I hope they gave the fish a safe home and is fed soon. Likely did not enjoy being in there alone.

Many of us expats are in the same situation. It would seem logical for the Thai government to allow those already in the Thailand Pass system for the next 60 days to enter. After that shut the door again.

The quarantine rooms have been nothing more than a scam. The price or quality of the room has nothing to do with stopping the spread of Covid. Any wood shack with a padlock would work.

The quality of a room has nothing to do with the price. The nicest hotel room (suite) I ever stayed in was under $7 a night.

And what about the Thai insurance companies? I see a few on Facebook web pages that look dodgy as hell. Anyone here had any issues lately with them with Covid insurance?

Some of the Covid Thai insurance companies that have webpages on Facebook I am starting to having second thoughts if they are seriously legit.

Start fining all the burners 100,000 baht and or time in prison otherwise don,t bother.

Some Americas believe their freedoms are being taken away. That gives them the total right to infect as many humans as possible.

I know that border well with Burma very easy and numerous spots to sneak across. Really easy if you wish to visit Burma.

Are they required to quarantine at a 5 Star Hotel or the most expensive hospitals in Thailand? I did not think so. My question is. WHY NOT?

I just paid for a years insurance not because I wanted to but did not wish to take any chances when applying for a visa in Thailand. That gives me about a year to decide if need be to get ready to leave and move elsewhere. I have a great love for the Thai people but it just gets to a point the constant uncertainty gets really old. Prefer to give my money to people who treat me with kindness and respect.

Thailand Pass aka Mess , mandatory expensive insurance and the ever changing requirement nightmare perhaps millions will just avoid Thailand altogether. You and I live in Thailand so in order to return to our only homes it is as if we all have a gun pointed at our heads. Pay up or leave. Not cool.

What if I enter Thailand on 30 day visa exempt and have to report to Thai immigration 15 days before visa ends to extend and I am suddenly found positive for Covid and dragged off to hospital. Can any sort of extension be done online? So once released from hospital I am not tossed out of the country because I was unable to get to immigration on time.

So if I understand the answer is yes. But all paper work has to be submitted 15 days before the visa exempt ends?

Can you still entry on visa exempt and change it before it expires to a Type O visa at Thai Immigration?

I am traveling to Thailand in January arriving using the visa exempt. Before my 30 days were up I had planned to go to my nearest Thai Immigration office and request to apply for a Type O Multiple Entry Visa for Marriage for one year. Since not be able to do border runs every 90 days are we allowed to just check in again at the same immigration office instead of the border run?
