I just want to inform that Sriracha immigration now demands medical certificate for retirement extension, almost all my friends also have the same conclusion thats must me a new rule at Sriracha Immigration.
We was 2 applicants today that renewed our extension with another year but we was well prepared and visit a hospital last week to get a certificate from a doctor and the officer again asked for the medical certificate and we was happy that we already have it so our extension was granted without problems.
I know common immigration offices that they dont demand such certificate except Sriracha,
If other have some experiences with some other offices in other places, pls inform.
Greetings.

Hello.....it have come more clear that Sriracha immigration now require medical certificate , last year in december I have to visit a hospital to get my extension granted, then I have read that some postings have complain about the same issue at Sriracha immigration.
Yesterday a friend of mine got the same experience whe they asked him for a medical certificate so he have to leave and come back with a certificate issues by a hospital in Sriracha.
I wonder if just Sriracha have this kind of requirement or the staff just hassling with us?
I would be thankful if someone have more knowledge about this matter.

Hello...you can apply for a double entry tourist visa, then it will not be any problem to stay more than 3 months, you have to do a border-run after 90 days the you will have another 60 days.
I hope this info at some help.

Not only Filipinas,,,Bangkok is full of : Russians,Africans and more nationalities that interfer on a market that should be available for Thais only, other nationalities often used by organized crime gangs that in most cases size their passports and force them into the market and often takes most of their income, I feel pity the ones that been promised a real work here and forced into sexbusiness and so on.

Hello....I have help one of my Swedish friends to convert a visawaiver to a non-o with retirement extension, it was done at Sriracha immigration with no problem, we have all paper and documents in order and he applied for a multiple reentry at the same time and the fee in total was about 7.500 THB
I think it wouldnt be any problem even at Udon immigration.
I wish you good luck.

The strong THB have lead to that forenginers avoid to buy properties like houses or condos.
1 Euro got about 50 THB some years ago, A GBP got about 70, A USD got about 36-39 THB...but now about 15-20% less for foreign money.

I tried to manage my economy at 10.000 THB for a few months and I make it work....but it was hard but as long I own my apartment I havge a low fee and eat and drinks for about 150 THB per day it works but it was boring.
The best was that I saved a lot of money during thoose months.
if Thais got some social security as public health insurance that works 100% and cheap way of transportations they can made a living for 300 THB per day but then the best is to stay away frpm cigarrettes and alcohol and have some boring times from and on.
The most important is to stay healthy.

No problem to get a retirement extension if you have obtained a non-o even as married to Thai national.
The extension process can be made within 30 days before your stay will expire so if you enter before 20 july you will get 90 days so you have enough time to plan fpr your extension.

How about to have more roadblocks for testing drivers under influence of drugs and alcohol?

You cannot at Immigration extend a non-O for 90 days, you will have an option for 1 year based on retirement or marriage or 7 days, the only cases I known this far is if you for ex. have been admitted in a hospital and your visa is on its way to expire you can get ex. 30 or 60 days depending on your status so your option is to do a border run in this case.
-
To be for sure, enter the Kingdom the day before expiring.
-
If your visa was issued in jan 2011 it will be expired in jan 2012...so you have to apply for a new visa or enter on a 30 day visa exempt for ex.
