  1. Thank you all for your replies! To provide one more opinion piece on BCH, I would like to add my personal experience now after having had the checkup yesterday. Maybe someone will stumble across this thread in search of information in the months ahead. So I went yesterday morning for the "Platinum checkup". I arrived at around 07.30 and headed to the registration counter as it was my first ever visit to this place. Registration went smoothly and took less than 5 minutes. From there it was straight to the heath checkup area on the second floor, where a nurse was immediately available to check me in. During this quick process, I was also allowed to choose a doctor from a list of around 10 or so with whom I would like to discuss my results later on. It was easy to communicate with both doctors and nurses in English. Whilst the building has at times more the flair of a government hospital (compared to the so-called "5* hospitals like BNH etc) I was impressed with the efficiency and speed at which the whole check-up was conducted. Took less than 3 hours for the original checkup booked. It was nice that at all times a member of the staff would take you from one department/room to the next, always doing the communication with the department staff informing them on what I was there for etc. Easy going, and actually better than my one-time experience at Samitivej where I was only given directions on where to go next etc. including changing building complexes etc. So a big thumbs up from me for BCH. Once all test results were in (I headed back to the department at 10:30 after using the food voucher in the food court) the doctor spent a lot of time explaining and discussing the results. I was very happy with that! Given that I only paid a fraction of the price BNH & Co would have asked for, I will definitely visit BCH again for future tests. On a side note, given one specific test result and a family history of issues with that one, it was suggested to me to see an Endocrinologist about it. I accepted and was seen by one 90 minutes later. Due to a pre-existing condition, I also asked for an appointment with a spine specialist, who I was also able to see within minutes after reviewing the general test results. So, yes, very happy with the doctors and the overall experience/process.
  2. Thank you! Can you name the blood tests that are missing? As for PSA: that is included. Earlier today, I sent them an email asking about various tests (including the EST) and the respective prices.
  3. I am looking at this "Platinum" package: https://www.bch.in.th/package/Health-check-up-2025
  4. Hi, It is the time of year again where my annual health checkup is due. Over the last 8 years or so, I've usually done them at BNH and once at Samitivej. But their recommended packages for my age group have gone up and up and up and are now in the 30-35k range, which is too much for me these days. As a result, I started looking at alternatives and was positively surprised by the Platinum package offered by Bangkok Christian. At TBH 11,990 it includes most of the tests the much more expensive packages at BNH and others include. I have never been to BCH, so I wondered if a member here has some first hand experience, especially with doing one of the health checkup packages. I don't necessarily need the -admittedly nice- "hand-holding" by the nurses like at BNH who always take you from one test/department to the next etc, but I would hate it if the organization at Bangkok Christian would be overly chaotic. Anyone with recent experience at BCH who can provide some feedback on this? Thank you! DUS
  5. He is a devil who isn´t even trying to hide it.
  6. I would like to agree that the worldwide debt-driven economic system is rapidly approaching its end. But that has nothing to do with tariffs or trade imbalances. But anyways, back to my morning coffee. Way more important and pleasurable than talking about #47.
  7. Earlier this evening, I was kind of surprised to see lots of people still outside various condos and even hotels with their suitcases, obviously afraid of going back in and fearing another earthquake.
  8. Hardly shook? Wtf do you live in BKK?
  9. Yes, this is what might happen in the future. I agree. As an additional "data point": I just chatted with a friend of mine and we briefly touched on the topic of the looming deadline. Much to my surprise he said that he went to his local TRD office last week, asking how to file a tax return. When they learnt that he hadn´t brought in any money over the course of 2024, they told him "not to worry" and that he cannot/doesn´t need to file a tax return. As the money he is going to bring into the country in the future is from money he inherited a few years ago, they also told him that he won't need to file anything in the years ahead unless the source of the transferred money changes from inheritance to taxable income sources. Well, if and when there is a status link between TRD and Immigration in the future then this practice certainly would have to change. I guess we will find out in the years ahead......
  10. So, do I understand it correctly that: - if you did not transfer any money into Thailand in 2024, you do not have to file a tax return (just in order to comply with "the deadline" at the end of this month or early April if done online) - if you transferred money to TH in 2024, but this was not assessable/taxable income earned in 2024, you still do not have to file. In the latter case, if you do not file a tax return and the tax office at some point in the future asks you to prove what the money you transferred in 2024 was, asking for proof of when it was earned, inherited or whatever, is this "Please show us" approach by the RD the "worst case" that could happen if we do not file right now?
  11. Question: I recently got a new passport and did my first 90 days report with it at CW. Next one is due in April. When I logged into https://tm47.immigration.go.th only the reports on my old passport number were shown. Looking up for any entry on the new passport did bring up nothing. So what is the correct way forward? As I could not find the option to update my passport number on that website, do I have to create a new account with a new email address and start using that new account from April onwards? After having all the stamps etc successfully transferred from the old to the new passport I had hoped the 90 days report system would link those 2 numbers as well but that does not seem to be the case. Or do I just log in with my existing account details and then type in all the details (new passport number, nationality, address etc etc) when submitting the new application in April and that´s it? I´d appreciate if someone enlightened me about the "correct" way forward. Thank you!
