  1. It is not a child, it is a fetus.. learn the difference... and what the hell does politics have to do with this ??
  2. This onward ticket business is a load of nonsense, when like the OP, you intend your exit to the country, to be by land.. but the dumb and blind seems to insist on these stupid rules - thankfully, this is not the case for Cambodia - yet.... so yes, you are wise to abide by these nonsense rules...
  3. maybe it is time to exit these treaties.. others would soon follow...
  4. I think if I started saying things like there is no such thing as free choice, I would get a lot of angry people... but then that will only be because of their past circumstances over which they had no control.. I had better shut up now...
  5. As far as I was aware, a great many people in Russia still support Putin, sure, it can be down to propaganda as many Germans supported Hitler at one stage. But people need to take responsibility for who they decide to support....
  6. Australia.. listed, are Visa exempt, as is New Zealand (not on your list).. ??
  7. 2 or 2 months is ideal for me in one year. I take your point about the market they are aiming for.... i just don't understand what the downside would be to 60 days.. what would the cost to Thailand be.... ?
  8. I think there are a good number of older people who have the time to travel around the world at leisure.. you don't have to be that wealthy... I get a one month extension when I am in Thailand... better if I did not have to apply for this...
  9. "Of course, the idea is that the longer they stay the more money they will spend"... wow such insight... I never knew such insight existed in people in high places in Thailand.. I am astounded...
  10. They should just try 3 months tourist visa free entry, allowing two times a year and see what happens.. absolutely nothing to lose by giving this a go...
  11. guess you would have been saying this during the London Blitz... ?
  12. What would Thailand lose by having 3 months visa exempt ?... are they worried about evil foreigners using too much of Thailand up ?... small minded clowns comes to mind...
  13. well, this will go down well with the high quality wealthy tourists.. can you imagine the queue at immigration, as they have their wealth as in what they are wearing and carrying taxed .. only in Thailand... what a bunch of hypocrites..
  14. sure, if you are happy to have tourism as 5% of your economy...
  15. For those old enough to remember.. you have to be pretty old like me !!! remember the song ?
  16. These people are not born this way, they are created. I have seen how Thai and Khmer parents (I don't know about other SE Asian countries) strictly control their children. This applies to boys and girls, but mothers around the world, do treat a son differently to a daughter - it can be observed within one hour of birth. I have seen it in a Thai family where a son was raised primarily by his aunt when his mother was overseas. This teenager was so immature compared to what I would have been at his age. His emotions are repressed - stamped on. They are time bombs waiting to go off. I think it also explains why these young men go wild when they get away from their family (for a short time) when they have some "freedom" when they get a small motorcycle. In the case I refer to, his cousin of 15 died riding a motorcycle. So should we be surprised when they carry all this psychological baggage (immaturity) into adulthood. The simple fact is they are in effect, still just children and they act like someone stole their football. It is Thai society that needs to look long and hard at itself.
  17. I understand they police are having a debriefing right now, prior to their plans to go undercover....
  18. A Thai person can marry a Kiwi, get into NZ, stay with him for 2 years, get citizenship, divorce him, buy her own house (with the 50/50 split), do whatever jobs she likes, full welfare same as any Kiwi born here and after 10 years will get a full NZ pension when she retires.. and then also sponsor family members as well.. you think I can do that in Thailand ?
  19. This is not an originating Thailand website... one should ask, "why are TAT not putting this information out" ? I mean TAT must consider themselves an honest organisation and not trying to rip off unsuspecting tourists ?
  20. So why do you think there is a "need" for a 90 day report... plenty of other retirement destinations do not have this requirement - how do they manage ?
  21. It is the picture it paints.. it seem everything to do with the Thai government is anti-tourist/anti-foreigner and this is just one more thing.. by itself, it is nothing, but in the overall picture of the way the Thai government behaves towards foreigners, it just makes me not want to come... I was going to pay out for a bigger motorcycle, kept in the name of a Thai friend of mine.. but I am certainly delaying that idea...
  22. I thought the solution to all Thailand's economic woes where wealthy tourists.. I guess that was yesterday.. " but not the main target visitors that the country should target"... "country should focus more on potential visitors including business visitors". I am not sure how much money "business visitors" would bring. They come for a few days for some "business meetings" and then spend ??? I am lost on this one... I think Martians are a much better idea, they will not have Covid...
