Is the 15 days minimum published somewhere? Do you have a link? (I'm not disputing it, I've just not seen anything official about it.)

And now you even know how unhealthy these worn out dirty face masks are.
That is why we change our masks frequently. Masks are very cheap if you buy in packs of 100.

The seasoned traveller will avoid destinations that require testing. I haven't BTW taken a single covid test yet during past two years. I have an unused home test kit bought 9 months ago though.
Bravo ! 3 cheers for you,hip ,hip !

Surely carrying a PCR test kit with you would address this. Take it in front of Thai authorities to confirm their positive test, and if shows neg. then pull them up on it.
They will soon let you move on as you will be making them lose face. ????
You can carry a PCR test with you but for the result it has to be sent to a lab.

Any impact relating to any transit country.... (2-3 hours transit)?
I flew back to the UK with KLM and had a 9 hour wait is Schipol and did not require a RT-PCR test as my destination was UK.

Well, in Thailand it's all about quantity
(= number of arrivals). - 5 Indians, staying for 10 days, are more welcome than 1 Swiss or American staying for 180 days.
My post refers to 5 Indians trying to do a deal with a Thai lady and paying her the same as 1 farang customer!

flying on Qatar on 23/March/2022 and negative PCR test within 48 hours IS a requirement
Thailand do not require an RT-PCR test pre departure as from 01/04/2022.
Therefore all airlines will update their pre flight requirements to be in line with the destination countries entry rules.
Airlines base their RT-PCR requirements on the destination country.

I have a Bangkok Bank account and it was a Visa card. When it reached expiry date the new card was no longer Visa and is now Union pay.
Now it is a problem using it on line and even for a hotel deposit as many places will not accept it.

Spot on as most airlines still require a pre- departure covid test before flying anyway
You also clearly have not flown recently.

Most airlines require PCR testing prior to departure, so passengers wont escape pre-travel testing.
So ideally, they should have lifted hotel stay upon arrival, if they were trying to be helpflu.
You clearly have not flown recently as your info is wrong.

They desperately need to figure out a way to get some adults into the room, who are making the decisions, not based on politics, fear, or denial of science. But, rather based on the good of the people, the economy, tourism, and quality of life. Is that simply too much to ask for?
Are you referring to the Thai government or the people who reply on this forum 555.

This was precisely my experience as of February 2022. To extend my 60 day visa, I had to get a police report before going to MTT to acquire a new departure card before getting my last 30 days at CW. I was asked to make merit at the police station before I left.
If you're not extending your visa, then it's irrelevant as you can pick one up at the airport. Or you could before Covid.
My experience as of March 2022 I did not have to pick one up at the airport. I told the the officer and he took me straight to the passport control desk and I did not fill a thing out it was all done by the officer at the desk within 1 minute.
Also the op did not mention getting extensions all he asked about was getting a replacement.
My original reply to someone who did not need to do an extension was that you do not need to do anything, just sort it easily at the airport upon leaving

I've done 5 extensions using the monthly income method and I've never been asked to show an updated pass book, which is just a well because just like Onerak, I never keep mine up to date anyway.
In answer to the question by @Markus700 no you cannot. You will only ever find UDMs at bank branches and there are none 0f those airside.
I have done countless extensions using the ฿800 000 deposited in a Thai bank and have always had to have photo copies of the up to date bank account.

I don't bother updating bank book which is archaic anyway.
Thai Immigration laws require updated bank books to extend permission of stay. Therefore not archaic but essential.

You have to report to Police or Tourist Police that you have lost your card, when thy will give you a document saying that they agree that you have lost your card, which you take to Immigration and get a new card. Do this as soon as you can as it take half a day to go through all the depts. to get your Departure card, and you cannot leave Thailand without one. Nor can you extend your visa.
Tourist police might be easier that Police to deal with as they will speak English.
Not my up to date experience at all.

I went to Udon Immigration and got myself a single re entry permit several weeks ago. 03 March l went to Bkk to fly back to the UK and realised my departure card had gone.
At departure I informed the officer and she just processed me as normal. I did not have to fill out another one surprisingly.

Not true.
Test and go requires 2 shots to be regarded as fully vaccinated.
My Thailand Pass was approved today.
