  1. For sure, she could possibly win, but the odds are very much against her. So in the real world, she might as well forget about it.
  2. The problem is that anything can happen. Maybe someone will cheat. I suppose a small bet might be ok for entertainment purposes, but that’s about it.
  3. Virtual cards seem to be growing in popularity. I’ve never paid much attention, but I think two of my cards have that as a feature. My Apple Card is both a physical card and a card that’s contained in the wallet in my IPhone. Each has a different account number. I’m not sure how they do it, but you can generate new account numbers anytime you want, right in the Apple Card app in the wallet. The only drawback is that if you have auto payments set up with anyone using a particular card number, you’ll have to change the number for that payment. Anyway, I try not to use credit cards at all, with the exception of using one to book hotel rooms and flights online.
  4. I think you’re delusional. Harris may well be the nominee, but she can’t win. Just wait and see.
  5. Well, it looks like it really might be Kamala. At least so far. And they’re already pushing the narrative with phony poll numbers. Maybe they’re going this route because they know something we don’t. I’ve seen lots of speculation about false flag jobs and cancelled elections. A nationwide power grid failure, perhaps. Someone is predicting that. No power = state of emergency and no election. People are all too complacent about the possibility of that happening. And it doesn’t take much. I can still remember when power in much of the U.S. northeast went out back in 1977. That happened because a thunderstorm knocked out part of the grid and the outage cascaded. Anyway, it was a mess and it would be a real mess if something like that happened nationwide.
  6. Not as ridiculous as some I’ve seen. Someone out there is predicting Michelle Obama with RFK Jr. as a running mate. Interesting, but highly unlikely.
  7. If I’m not mistaken, Part B is a bit more expensive these days. Still, anyone deciding not to take it should be aware of the penalty for starting it at a later date.
  8. What “rubbish”? People are entitled to their opinions.
  9. Paid back? Have you considered the fact that the people holding the debt may be happy with just the interest payments? If their money isn’t in bonds, where will they put it? In overpriced stocks? In overpriced real estate? Anyway, it’s all relative. The USA isn’t the only country in the world with a large debt.
  10. I read all sorts of news, but I guess I haven’t read RT lately. It’s a news channel on some of the cable feeds, though, so sometimes I see that. In any event, I still think Hillary is lurking in the background somewhere, ready to take “her turn.” I think Kamala is just a trial balloon. In a week or so, people will wake up and realize she’s not presidential material. It should be fun to watch. I haven’t had this much political entertainment since Watergate. Remember that?
  11. They have to deal with a new reality, to be sure. But I think the novelty of Kamala will wear off soon, if she is indeed the party’s nominee. And then what? Kamala Harris as president of the USA? If that happens, you’ll know for sure we’re all in the Twilight Zone. As for Trump being “old” and a felon? He seems to have a lot of energy and stamina. And the felon thing? We all know how that came to pass.
  12. People who don’t know anything about AI seem to be asking that question lately. As if that’s really the question to ask. The world is full of problems. If nothing else, AI programs can provide answers to many questions almost instantly. They can perform many tasks almost instantly. But all that is pedestrian. It’s just a matter of time before these systems become “sentient.” Whether that’s good or bad is up for debate, but it’ll happen before you know it. And at that point, we’ll begin to see superhuman intelligence. The possible applications are everywhere. From business to warfare. Has anyone seen what they’re doing with drones on the battlefield?
  13. It seems a little too easy, no? Something happens to Joe and Kamala waltzes her way into the Democratic nomination. After all the nonsense that has transpired, is the Deep State really so eager to lose an election? Because that’s exactly what will happen. And it won’t just be the presidency. In the process, they’ll lose control of both the house and the senate.
  14. For whoever is laughing at me. I’ll be the first to admit I was wrong. Let’s see what happens.
  15. You may be right. One time, just a few years ago, I returned to Thailand after being away for a few years, and one of my first stops was to my bank to get a new ATM card. Anyway, halfway through that process the girl in the bank wanted to know if I was looking for a wife. I told her that my next stop was to go look for a condo. At that point she wanted to go right then and there to take me around and show me some condos. I’m not sure what she was going to do about the rest of the day she was supposed to be working.
  16. Something weird is in the works, I think. There are rumors that Biden isn’t even alive. Has he made any kind of public statement? Has anyone seen him? The Obamas refused to endorse Harris. That means something. Maybe Harris is a trial balloon. Her immediate endorsement by some is an experiment. Endorse her and see what happens. I’m waiting for the other shoe to drop. My guess is that she might not poll so well, and that’ll be the excuse to jettison her in favor of whoever emerges from an open convention.
  17. Harris can never win. I think she was Biden’s VP pick for several reasons, none of which had anything to do with her actual ability to perform as President. She was picked because she was a woman, and because she was a woman of color. She was also picked as an “insurance policy” of sorts. Biden probably figured his tenure in office was safe so long as Harris demonstrated obvious incompetence. What was her focus supposed to be? The border?
  18. Maybe it’s the dictation software? I’ve seen some pretty funny nonsense from people who were apparently using that kind of program but didn’t proofread what was typed.
  19. Strong dollar? The problem is, these things do not exist in a vacuum. The value is a function of a number of variables, and those variables also matter. So a weak dollar might seem like a benefit, but remember how that happened. Interest rates were lowered. And that, in turn, allowed the government to run up a larger and larger deficit. Not necessarily a good thing, right? Inflation. Trump thinks he can run a country like a business. Borrow all the money you can and don’t worry about the consequences. Lower taxes, etc. It’s all great until it isn’t.
  20. Sure. That’s one of the big benefits of living in Bangkok. You definitely don’t need a car. My concern with Bangkok isn’t the transportation aspect. It’s just the day to day stress level. That, coupled with the fact that I have absolutely no reason to be there. I’d rather be at the beach somewhere. Once upon a time, I lived in NYC. Great place, but probably not a good place for people who don’t have to be there for any reason.
  21. Hillary pretends she won’t run again and that she and Bill are supporting Biden. After all, Biden is the ideal candidate for the deep state crowd. Like a puppet they can control absolutely. But now that the political tide is turning, Biden is problematic. He can’t win and everyone knows it. And so it looks like Biden will be gone. Then what? The last thing the Democrats want is a fair election. They want control. Absolute control. So, Hillary makes sense. She’s there, she wants the job, she’s delusional enough to think she can win, and she has lots of influence. Anyway, that would be a good choice. Watching her lose again would be fun.
  22. The other day? Well, it was a post on this website. If I wasn’t so lazy, I’d look it up. Sources? Me. As for everyone wanting younger candidates? Sure, but we’re not talking about everyone. Don’t forget, these are Democrats. What “everyone” wants doesn’t matter to them. And Hillary, probably the most delusional female in this quadrant of the galaxy, still thinks it’s “her turn.” We should find out soon enough.
  23. As I predicted somewhere the other day, sources are now suggesting that Hillary will replace Biden at the convention. And of course, the outcome in November will be the same as it was in 2016. Great fun.
  24. I wasn’t really planning on any specific amount. I just roughly guessed how much I’d spend every month and that’s about how it has gone this time. I think my average spending is less than 60k baht. And for that, I do whatever I want and invest the rest of my monthly income.
  25. To a degree, I’d say just about everyone has some sort of “problem.” At this point, the U.S. is nearing an election. Trump is the nominee of the Republican Party. Whoever the Democrats pick will be up against Trump. It’s then up to the voters. In the real world, that’s the process, and I don’t see the majority of voters suddenly deciding that Trump has a problem making him unfit for office.
