  1. None of this is a surprise to me. Whenever I book a ticket in or out of BKK the Thai air ticket is always more expensive than any other airline I check into. The last time I was on Thai Air the food was horrible and the stews were not that friendly, and they didn't even have the entry exit document on the plane to fill in. Oh yea I also had to take a bus to the terminal when we landed. bah.gif

  2. OK, The Mrs. called and asked what we needed to get my 5 year renewal license. She got the list and off we went. 1 hour later (traffic mai deeeeeee) we are there. Went to number 18 and all of a sudden my address was needed from the embassy. When the call was made all I needed was a bill with my name and address. This is the third time I have been down this road and the two times before the bill was good enough. I told the wife to offer some tea money but she thought the lady had a sour face and didn't want to take the chance I agreed she did look like a sour old thing so I will be back. I just laugh at things like this anymore. It's just the price of living here. When it stops being funny I think it will be time to leave. violin.gif

  3. I see nobody has posted here for a while. I will ask my question anyway.

Anybody have a place where I can get my seat fixed to a more comfortable ride. The original is still in good shape but it is hard as a rock. I would like a seat that is similar to the honda pcx. That has a lumbar support. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks.

  5. good on them and good on monks who dare to join protests against the government - they might become a new symbol of a fight against the injustice, as monks became symbols for the same ideas in the other countries (vietnam, myanmar)

rituals do play role in politics as well, but won't replace a rational, scientific education and a clear political program - for that we have to wait yet.

Here is another brave soul, sitting in another country far away and spouting off. It seem the further away the braver they are.

  6. It all depends how you react to dogs. I have 2 dogs and they love to bark to people who are scared. People who don't care about them they don't bark at. But they just know when you are scared and then they love to bark (not bite). So the moment i hear them bark i get out and look what they are doing. If they are harassing someone ill stop it (unless its a farang i love seeing them run).

When you run the dogs just love it and see you as prey. When you just look at them ignore them they wont do a thing most of the time. Still i can imagine its scary if a whole pack goes after you.

You've got to be kidding? You know your dogs chase people and yet you let them? Come on....and then you say its scary? Many people are naturally afraid of dogs. Sure, dogs sense that, but dogs should NOT be allowed to run free and do this. You are only adding to the problem.

I know my dogs bark at people, i also know they dont bite them or chase them. Follow them a bit bark a bit then stop. The moment i hear something like that i go out and make sure the dog stops barking. We are talking here about maybe 3 times 20-30 minutes a day that they walk free. They mostly stay in front of my home and sometimes bark at people (actually one of the dogs does the other doesn't care)

How often does it happen that he barks at people when free.. lets say once every three days .. wow so bad. Some people need a life. Does he bark at everyone.. no it just happens sometimes and then i go out and stop him. Sounds real irresponsible does it.

Your in Thailand dogs are allowed to walk free here so how can you say they should not if there is no law against it ?

This is the typical ignorant dog owner. In a perfect world they are the ones the anger should be aimed at, it is not the dogs fault. It is the owners fault.

  7. Sure I may have made mistakes like paying too much etc. But I love her and she has generally been good to me and I have tried to be the same to her. But this is becoming too much. And to make matters worse I would not know how to end it because she lives with me. I cannot just throw her out on the street and the thought of her struggling again as I saw her and being corrupted by the people she was hanging out with when I met her pains me. But I know feel I have to figure out how to end this.

You have a tough call to make. Bottom line is you have to take care of yourself first to be able to take care of anyone else.
