I just bought a yamaha keyboard for my daughter. I bought it at the Central shopping mall in Bangna. The store was on the third floor in the middle of the complex. I can't find the name of the store but I asked about a keyboard at the information booth at the entrance to the mall and they sent me there.

As the title says im wanting to apply for a driving license here in CM and was hoping someone could tell me where the office is. I have all the required documents already.

I come back after 3 months on business and I find they have changed the taxi's to the arrival level. I have three bags with me and my wife and daughter come to greet me. Sounds good but try and get a newer larger taxi to accomodate the whole crew, NOT. The hag with the tickets sends the only large taxi with some lady that has one bag and alone. I ask nicely for the same taxi for the crew and she gets all bent out of shape sends me over to one of the old little taxi's from the day's of no meters. I asked why I couldn't trade with the lady and well my thai isn't that good but nobody talks about my mom like that. So I lose my cool and the driver gets the giggles and starts laughing at me So I make a couple of comment about his relationship with his mother and all of a sudden I'm the bad guy. GO figure.

SO after all that I would like to know one thing. WHEN WILL THE TRAIN BE FINISHED!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am trying to get a True phone with High speed internet. The problem I am having is: I can't seem to find a web page that is in english. I would like to figure out which package to buy. Am I not seeing an english option??? Does anyone have any suggestions. Thank you for any help.

I have only used the new airport twice. Are they doing anything to improve on the place yet. Mainly the lack of signs to follow on arrival.

Judging by many comments on this Forum and all other Thai related Forums, Farangs appear to think they are somewhat superior to Thai people.

Many seem to want Thailand to become more westernised, more like the country they once lived in, before they fled that very same country and moved to Thailand. Of course, there are certain things they would want to keep just as they are, like the cost of living etc.

And Farangs in Thailand are the minority and feel that everything is against them, it's a typical minority attitude. If a Farang gets stopped by the Police in Thailand, the Farang will complain, " I only got stopped because I'm a Farang, the fact that 300 Thai motorists were also stopped escapes his attention.

I don't want a long post, so I will sum up.......

In the UK there have been acts of violence against Asians ever since Asians came to the UK, for no other reason than they are Asian ( remember Paki bashing ? ). luckily in Thailand this is not the case against Farangs , yet!

The West Indians never suffered the same physical attacks because they are somewhat bigger and intimidate the white man, so the Asians who just wanted to keep themselves to themselves ended up bearing the brunt of these racial attacks, they were seen as an easy target.

Luckily for Farangs, Thai people don't have that attitude.

To all Farangs who keep complaining and wishing Thais would be more like the people in their own countries, be careful, you may just get what you wish for.

Funny you should mention the new airport. Its very nice and all but its too ###### small!! The passageway to passport control was kinda narrow. Not enough room around the baggage carousels. Only three urinals in the mens room so you had to wait your turn. And the arrival hall was so jam-packed you could barely push your cart through. I hate to say it but I think the old airport is better. I thought the whole idea of a new airport was to make it bigger for the increase in traffic. Somebody blew it.

This is a quote of a friend. He did not know about the new airport being open. I'm going to be in BKK nest week I'm worried.

You can taste the hysteria. I am waiting on something official before getting to excited. I am one of those that fall between the cracks of this latest fiasco in the works. I work elsewhere and I am in and out of LOS. I will stay an average of 60 days at a time. but if I am only allowed to be here 90 days a year that sux. I love this place I think highly of the Thai people and alway's look forward to getting back after finishing my work. I have no desire to go someplace else. I would ask the officials in charge to take a look at the big picture and ease into something like this as it will chase off more legitimate people; The people that spend money and not the shady ones that live on the fringe.

I know that TOT can run phone lines to your house. Are there any others that compete with them. I'm not real happy with their service and I wanted to see about someone else running a line to my place in BKK. Thanks.

Thai seems to have a total disinterest for affairs not concerning Thailand. I know this is a complete stereoptype but i feel it is the general trend. On the news too. There will be a short burst of intrnational coverage in no great depth (after the Thai coverage naturally) but the main emphasis is usually on some truck driver getting caught with someting or an explosion in the south or something other crap like a woman jumping off a roof.

This seems the way for the west too, I spoke to my dad back in the UK. Knew noting of any political unrest in Thailand. He is getting on a bit though:) I guess contries in general have their own interests best at heart. (did the Thais fight against hitler/japan?)

When the south starts bombing Bangkokyour wife will know about terror and it will all make sense (with a little (or lot) explanation regarding religion, the American's giving Jew's what the palestinians considered their homeland after the 2nd world war.........and the general hatred that has bred an era of terror. not just recent either......)

Just looked on yahoo today and 51 UK firms in iraq. The UK and US have made a serious and i mean SERIOUS amount of money ie billions/ not millions......no idea about Thailand though.
