  1. the AQI is bad 12 months per year and has been for many years. you accept that or find another country.
  2. nature, no masks....your in the wrong region. I would recommend eastern europe.
  3. I would think leaving for a month several times per year then coming back thats a legit tourist, what job in thailand would allow that ?
  4. I just had trouble getting into DMK with a tourist visa from penang and I had been out of the country for a full month too in two different countries. But still taken away for questioning and providing documents. Ultimately I got in, but its really unsettling. It has me looking for other countries to go to. Too much hassle and stress for a normal tourist. Also they put my onward flight in the computer, what is that meaning?
  5. I had a tourist visa and a few covid extensions but thats it. Because you have a lot of time in thailand your asking for big problems with this method. You can roll the dice but be prepared for the worst case scenario. Your coming in on a visa exempt tourist entry but they know and you know your not really a tourist, thats the problem .
  6. Im just a tourist. I went to KL for 2 weeks, tried to fly back into CM direct for a visa exempt entry. They were upset with me and wanted to send me back to KL or my home country. They took me to a back room, and i had to explain everything. What saved me is i showed them a flight ticket out to Korea and 30,000 baht cash in my wallet. If i didnt have this no way they would have let me in.
  7. You have two injections. To inject substances into your body to board that plane, thats called a restriction.
  8. Sherpa updated, cant believe it. Thailand has now joined only 15 other countries in the world with this bs. https://pr.moph.go.th/?url=pr/detail/2/04/184146/
  9. 35% of the world is Unjected, with 140+ countries open to them with zero restrictions. I have never seen such an epic disaster for thailand.
  10. You may want to wait until after JAN 5 meeting, the health minister is proposing random arrival testing and checking for at least 2 injections for ALL international arrivals now that china is opening. Really insane, would be a death blow for tourism as most would choose vietnam, cambodia, philippines, malaysia at that point.
  11. @JoseThailand did they ask for anything going into Lao?
  12. That was my feeling too after some weird experiences with immigration recently. Everything is looked at very closely nowadays including the 30 day extensions.
  13. Has anyone had to do this to enter Laos? Would a 7 eleven test be accepted? Just seeing how much of a hassle this really is...thanks.
  14. Just go to bangkok, its all the same nowadays. This is not 2015 anymore these non bangkok airports are not much safer imo. I just came back via CNX with a bunch of covid extensions in my passport and they were really upset with me about it. I was taken away to a room and interviewed, i believe they were going to deny my entry but then i showed them an exit ticket and explained im leaving in one month and they finally gave me a stamp.
  15. why enter? if you stay at airport in transit you dont need that!
  16. You misunderstood, i mean 3 is nearly impossible. 2 is probable but you may have to sweet talk your way through it a bit. I think most people stopped this perpetual exempt run by air back in 2015-2016. I have done a same day exempt run by air one time to KL, Malaysia back in 2016. I got questioned hard but was able to get in. I did get denied one time with a tourist visa in hand at DMK. Its not common though, must have been an IO having a bad day. I am a real western tourist and clean appearance but if your under 50 there are not really any other visa options imo.
  17. Read his threads this guy is a long stay tourist for many years. Taking a break because of covid is not going to prevent him from being looked at hard.
  18. To be honest its close to 0% you will be able to pull this plan off. Even 2 you better come prepared.
  19. dont get too excited its a temporary program for 6 months ????
  20. no no man its the same as before. that evisa thing is only for developed rich countries. any southeast asian country you have to go in person. laos is still horrid its busy again and you have to stand in line in the heat and sun for hours like how it got in 2019.
  21. Ok great. Sounds like we are back to 2019 protocol!! As long as you dont get some arrogant check in counter person when departing. Glad some common sense is coming back.
  22. Yes, I assumed that was fine. But what about a test, you had no test before or on arrival?
  23. Any recent experience entering thailand with no testing or vaccine stuff, just the same as 2019? I notice they mention unvaxed with no test will basically be at the discretion of the health control officer on arrival. What does this actually mean in real life on the ground? "Unvaccinated/partially vaccinated travelers who have proof of a negative COVID-19 test result within 72 hours of travel will be allowed to go anywhere in Thailand, while those who will arrive without a negative test result will be subject to health protocols deemed appropriate by the Health Control officer at the point of arrival."
  24. You could but you would have to do your 30 day extension first. Its unlikely you will be able to utilize a covid extension though. The end date is today (24 Aug) and nobody is expecting it to continue this time considering they only moved the date 1 month. If nothing happens in the next day or two I would say its over.
