  1. No guarantee, any extension is officer discretion. Why go to singapore? were you denied covid extension?
  2. Chiang Mai. It seems every time i go there is confusion over this but this is the first time i got robbed some days. The girl was insistent i only get 60 days from day of application and this is how it is now. Maybe it was a mistake and they thought it was my first covid extension. Because i think thats how it works only on your first one.
  3. I was told verbally last time (for period ending may 25) we have "new rule" only 60 days if you apply on your last day of expiration. I applied 5 days early and when i came back later to get my stamp yep it was only 55 day extension. This was the first time this happened to me when applying early. The screws seem to be tightening so to speak. Are they still doing it this way currently?
  4. great news. does anyone know which offices do not do an under consideration period?
  5. Yes for international airports. But in my experience borders are more fluid situation. How to get a test in the middle of nowhere?
  6. Is a border run doable at this point to say chiang khong? Has anyone been up there? Im talking enter lao then turning around 20 min later back into thailand. Do they bother testing or doing anything?
  7. from may 15 vietnam is dropping pre flight testing bringing them to no requirements same as 2019. thailand better get going soon.
  8. they just changed it starting today. entry into laos for unvaccinated all you need is an atk test.
  9. Im assuming entering by land is the same? I'm planning exit mukdahan-savannakhet. get a visa in savannakhet, then pcr test in savannakhet, heading back to thailand. @ubonjoe
  10. absolutely not. A certificate of vacc. and atk test are not "no restrictions" dont support that insane bs !!
  11. For a while now both thais and foreigners, nobody wears a mask in the islands/tourist areas as it should be everywhere on this planet.
  12. Hey guys for the last hold outs still tourists in thailand how are covid extensions going this time? What office you use? Any waiting period? Thanks.
  13. The problem is to enter Laos they require a pre booked tour, vaccine, pcr test, and all sorts of nonsense. The only option right now like 2019 is Mongolia by air, not exactly a cost effective visa run.
  14. Only countries actually open right now (no test/quarantine, same as 2019) Costa Rica Denmark Bahrain Dominican Republic El Salvador Ireland Iceland Hungary Mexico Jordan Norway Romania Slovenia
  15. I guess it would work but no one really knows since this was implemented during covid I dont think many people have been doing visa runs to neighboring countries. Also depends on nationality, some are not eligible for the evisa system.
  16. I asked him directly in another thread. He said one word, "Yes." Obviously some immigration officers do not want this stuff to continue, but its the government that will decide. When the chinese tourists start coming back thats when you need to be worried.
  17. Just chill out and get another covid extension, even ubonjoe the Nostradamus of Aseannow predicts we will get another to 25 May.
  18. Does anyone know where this new Russia Honorary consulate is in Chiang Mai? I am trying to apply for a tourist visa to Russia.
  19. What is the deal with getting tourist visas now? I know pre-covid we had go apply at an embassy then pickup the next day, but now everything is all online? So does it even matter what city you do a visa run to?
  20. Are you expecting extension to may 25? I just dont see how late march anything will be different. The government seems to want this to continue while immigration comes up with every excuse not to.
  21. I got one for 1900 baht on 27 Jan with my covid extension expiring 25 Feb. They did a 15 day waiting period to get the actual stamp, i really dont like that. They said next time you go bangkok if you dont want to wait. So i think extension until 25 May likely. Then I would say 25 July questionable and 25 September doubtful.
  22. I thought I would be as a tourist but i have already used many of them plus you got people saying on that facebook group its only 10 days now?
  23. I guess thats all we can do at this point. Regardless i am preparing to do a visa run just in case. I am thinking nonstop to South Korea.
  24. so for the people here since covid on tourist visas, is it 10 or 60 days? I did not see anything about 10 days but i am using google translate not sure if accurate.
