    Leaving Thailand is much smoother with the new machines. Coming back through immigration is still a drag. The immigration cops are all as thick as rocks and can't organize even the simplest queue system.

    I live here for work. Unlike people like you who came here because they can't get laid at home. I don't drink and I've worked with more Thai people in a year than you will meet in your whole life.

    This exactly. The goons in charge are the Thai people and the Thai people are the goons in charge. Nothing will evolve because it is, and always has been, a nation of low IQ people beset with laziness, greed, vanity and selfishness.

    The difference is that London and Singapore have people with an IQ above 60 managing the roads. Thailand is a country that can't even stop motorcycles from riding wherever they want to or keep food stall away from blocking pavements. They will never be able to introduce the level of technology needed to enforce a congestion charge.

    It would be nice if these laws were enforced, but they won't be. Street food stalls add to traffic congestion, create safety risks for drivers and pedestrians, damage pavements, add to pollution in the drains, spread unhygienic food, are untaxed and other issues.

    You have yellow tinted glasses and by the sounds of it, you don't walk along lower Sukhumvit very much. There are better payments in Beirut after an Israeli blitz.

    As I have pointed out before - laziness and greed are behind every problem in Thailand. The tragic truth that few will ever admit is that they are a low IQ race that will never function with the standards the West has.

    A couple of years ago the pavement along Sukhumvit Road from Nana to Phnom Phong was repaved at great expense. Already the paving slabs are cracking, there are large holes, it has been dug up again in places and it's a safety hazard. Thais simply cannot manage their civic infrastructure.

    This is pure greed from the bus company owner. Most Thai businesses keep all the profit instead of reinvesting in improvements. In this case, pocketing cash instead of paying for basic safety protocols to be followed while running ancient vehicles. Every problem in Thailand always comes down to laziness and greed.

    The idea that Thailand could organize what little manufacturing industry they have to compete with China and now Vietnam is absurd. They can't even get a visa system right, and tourism is their one goal. Promoting Pad Thai and elephant pants is about as imaginative they've been in recent years. They're fundamentally a very lazy, backwards nation.

    You clearly have no idea of business accounting in multinational companies. Or the Thai Revenue Department.

    Do you really think that airlines want to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars extra a year in collecting taxes and processing them on behalf of a foreign government? It's not as simple as 'add $9'. There will then be lots of software and extra staff resources needed to administer it on the airline side.

    She doesn't react like someone who has been kicked. Normally someone would touch or hold the place they were struck. They might walk with a limp or have some impediment or a reaction of shock at least. Let's face it, Thai women, whatever their social standing, are not known for telling the truth. In fact, they're some of the world's best liars.
