I thought this was timely:

At some point - the Thai people are going to stand up to the obvious bu11sh1t they get fed on a regular basis.
I suspect we aren't at that point yet!

The message I'm trying to get across is not the message you think it is.I am not criticizing AA, as an entity but giving the reasons why it has a terrible 'success' rate these days and IMHO, we have to save it.
We HAVE to tell the "my weedwhacker broke today" guys to shut up and talk about recovery.
AA has changed so much since those words were written. 80% or so success rate then compared to 5 % these days.
If you want to know why AA has a low success rate - look in the mirror.
Self-righteous, judgmental members like you, looking down on people looking for help, thinking this is some sort of exclusive club.
Being a progressive condition, someone who goes to AA can be anywhere along that path.

They will play the victim of course. Most likely playing the homophobia card in the process.
You are right that these are not the type to remain quiet and avoid bringing further attention to their stupidity.
But you have me puzzled as to what they could possibly speak of that would have any interest?

Exactly.Your argument might hold water if we were discussing one isolated incident, but we aren't are we
This is one of two in Thailand alone not to mention other countries
They made a conscious decision to produce symbolic material that advertised their choice of lifestyle
Its anything but a joke, the only joke here is the fact they launched the material into the public domain while still in Thailand
Hence the joke as you see it is very much on them
Just a pair of talentless losers trying to get their 15 minutes of fame.
Shock tactics that backfired!

Grow up.
Well beyond exaggeration. Inflammatory homophobic hogwash more like.

2 years is appropriate.Would you say that that is quite a reasonable sentence ?
I have read all your posts in this thread and you havent quite made it clear what you feel should be their punishment
Not just for the public indecency part but for doing it whilst climbing what is obviously a National Religious monument. Then send them to France so they can be punished for what they did at The Louvre.
They knew full well the importance of their chosen venues. Their display an obvious reference to@nal sex & was way beyond tomfoolery.
Aiming for fame in their community with the shock value of their antics was always going to be a risk.
They got their 15 minutes of fame. Just not how they wanted it.

There's a few pick ups by me that do that every time they accelerate - dirty 'orrible things they are...

I’m curious as to the average age of those making comment at the ‘stupidity’ of making unique modifications whatever they may be.
I’m guessing there will be an obvious connection between age and lack of tolerance of others decisions.
What's with this 'lack of tolerance' nonsense.
Are you one of these modern generation snowflakes that cries looking for a safe space when you hear an opinion you don't like. It's pretty obvious by you playing the age card. Age has ALWAYS been associated with wisdom - something you'll figure out yourself if you get older.
This is a fun discussion. You, like the <deleted> Dalai Lama earlier have added zero to the discussion other than the fact that you feel offended on behalf of some group.
You call it lack of tolerance, yet no-one here has said they can't tolerate it.
Go cry somewhere else for heaven's sake - the adults are having a discussion.

Oh really?
I think the OP has got old and forgotten what he did or didn't do as a youth to differentiate himself from the crowd. Also seems to be fixated on engine size which is always a dead giveaway.
I think it may have been the vegetative M. Schumacher who said "It is more fun to drive a slow car, fast than a fast car slow"
His favourite personal car?
As a youth I drove an Alpha Romeo 155 2.5l V6.
No mods, no spoilers, no go faster stripes.
Even when I was young I thought all that stuff pointless...

You think the press should post details of the pay offs? This is so typical of news stories especially about arrests here. You get the initial news and then sometimes you never hear about the followup.
Pretty naive.

Fake exhaust pipes too... 4 big fake pipes sticking out the back with a little tiddler jutting out underneath.
That's as bad as stuffing socks...

He'd say the same about sanctimonious, self righteous prigs sticking their unwanted oar into a discussion on which they have no opinion. The Dalai Lama would confirm those tolerant people are probably happier in their dailies than all those persons who criticize everything from morning to night.[emoji3]
Apparently.

Yes but souping up a car with such a small engine is like having a 1mm penis extension.Small d*ck syndrome

Given you just compared a Honda Sh1tbox with an F1 car, I think we'll just mark you down as 'no opinion'There 1.5 engines and don't hang about, our Yaris 1.5 was trick up a bit and went round corners like on rails, front wheel drive cars or 4WD is very much better road holding than rear drive IMO.
F1 engines are only 1.6 so don't see what your point is. [emoji3]

Good Lord, even the Dalai Lama is pitching into this discussion...Tolerance is a proof of probably having great heart but certainly of personal evolution, intolerance is characteristic of stunted spirits [emoji2]

I dont think it impresses women. Only other men.I think its more about attracting girls or impressing your friends, than increasing horsepower. You could argue the merits of alloy rims on any car, its more a cosmetic thing rather than a performance thing.
If you go to CDC on a weekend evening, you'll see them all lined up with their hoods up. Lots of engine mods, roll bars, suspension stiffners 100's of thousand spent on some of these cars - yet you can still pass them on a bicycle...
I know on guy that claims to have the fastest Honda Jazz in Thailand...

Nope I test drove the diesel and gasoline 5 series very recently. Gasoline version was silent at low revs and throaty when you floored it.yes, if you have a 20 year old Diesel. listen to one of the newer Mercedes, Audi or BMW Diesel engines and repent. [emoji2]
The diesel version was audible all the time. Dont see the point of having a luxury car and putting up with that raquet - especially with the low price of fuel here. Between my Benz & BMW here, we pay less than 4,000 a week in fuel.

I see many 'fast and furious' style souped up cars in Thailand. Cars that have obviously had lots of money spent on exterior styling and engine/exhaust mods.
Trouble is most are tiny little Jazz/Vios type cars where the standard engine is powerless 1.1 liter engine. Soup it up all you like, it's stll a gutless car and that fin on the back aint going to help keep the rear wheels pinned to the road at high speeds. Plus the are all front wheel drive making the fin pointless.
What's the point? You might as well put go faster stripes on your washing machine OR spend all that $$$ on a car with a bigger engine in the first place.

What JT and other people like him don't understand is this: People are entitled to their own & differing opinions.
JT does not represent gay men either. He has no more right to speak on their behalf than does Katy Perry.
Putting yourself in a group, claiming to represent them and then claiming to be a victim is sooooooo overdone.
You can't call everyone that disagrees with your (or your lifestyle) an "phobe" of some sort. It's just laziness and the lack of a real argument of any sort. It's along the lines of this "all white people are racist" crap that's going around.
The world is great, Trump is the leader, the 2 bottom flashers are out of Thailand, balance has been restored and hopefully there will be fewer hairy crack pics that I see on FB now...
