Hard to say what the bug is, but most insects have a life cycle of egg, larvae and adult...or something to that effect. I am not an entomologist so I may have left out a stage.

Anyway, my point is killing the adults will not eliminate the infestation. You have to keep killing the adults before they reach maturity & lay more eggs. The eggs and larvae you don't see will turn into adults & then you kill them. So on & so on. You will need to determine what they are (use the www) then determine the life cycle & keep killing the adults. You will have to keep this up until they are gone. The important point is you have to kill the adults before they mature & lay more eggs.

In the absence of determining what they are & what their life cycle is, you might just spray every 5 to 7 days until they are gone.

I had bugs in my coconut palms. I identified the bug and determined the life cycle...sprayed every 10 days for about 2 months. No more bugs, but I still have to spray at least once a month to kill any other bugs that may take up residence.

..heat lamp will drive them away.

Rather than asking why it is allowed here, why don't you ask why it's not allowed in France?  :saai: Many things are different in different countries -  imagine how boring the world would be if everywhere was the same.

Lol,,yup! My wife and in laws are befuddled why I don’t blow my horn during near misses. I try to explain I’m too busy downshifting and steering for avoidance along with the fact it doesn’t help. She understands that a little but says “you can let him know he does wrong”. I do enjoy her naivety and innocence after I calm down!
I tell her I don’t have three hands and she can work the horn for me if it will make her feel better. She actually tried it yesterday but it didn’t go off because you really have to depress it strongly. After that embarrassment she announced ,,I’m the driver and it’s not her job.
Trips through the rural farm country washboard, potholed dirt roads are so much fun in my bil’s low rider Isuzu p/u where ox herds can walk faster than I can drive to keep from bottoming out while delivering a half ton of rice in the back.

..should be de-husked by the time you get there.

...what!...the rider turned out of a soi into the path of oncoming traffic without giving way or looking..he didnt drive down the inside of the wrong side of the road at all..he cut the corner of the soi...why should the OP accept that..after all the family is only trying to bluff their way out of their obvious guilt...when will they ever learn the lesson that we all pay the price for being reckless and negligent?

You've jumped to conclusions, keep calm, the bm I quoted was referring to Thais who ride down the opposite lane in the wrong direction

...well keep to the topic then people wont get side-tracked will they.

Ya, for sure, Tifino. My wife spotted the security camera and we went back a few days later and retrieved the footage. Apparently the guilty party knows about it and I heard they have even seen it. But still, we get the defiant stonewall from them.

...make sure you go to the insurance company (3rd party re injury to rider/passenger-Parabol) and make a claim..they usually pay up to 30,000b on your bike and a further 20,000b on the other guys insurance..hope this info assists.

the obsession with riding/driving down the wrong side of the road never ceases to amaze me. and ultimately, unsurprisingly, the offender reuses to take responsibility for their actions. as others have said it's probably not worth pursuing this due to the state of the police force and legal system.

Riding down the inside of the wrong side of the road is normal practice here, you just need to accept it, no point in relating back to farangland

..that reckless young man..he obviously is not that poor..he is well nourished, has nice clothes, nice bike, out late and on his way in a hurry...you need money to buy all this and run a bike etc etc...i hope you win in court and they are forced to pay up in full..good luck..and hope your injuries heal quickly.

Hmm, either this change has been made since we did our latest trip to Big C off Highway 36 a week ago or it had yet to reach deepest darkest Rayong at that time. The sales slip with which we were presented still included all those wretched vouchers which account for two-thirds of the length of the slip!

...and then you have to wait for your lady to go back in and spend it immediately.

Thanks for the update. Do you get a receipt for the 1600 baht fine?

Yes, yellow books mean bugger all to immigration. I think the confusion arises when they can be mostly accepted as proof of a Thai domicile to a third party such as a bank in the same way as the 'residence letter' from immigration is accepted for those who either don't have or can't get a yellow book. However, Amphurs don't ask for immigration letters and immigration ignores yellow books.

...i certainly did get a receipt which is stapled in my Passport as proof.

    Where?

ONCE AGAIN, please state the Immigration office where this is a requirement.

So far Chiang Mai and Korat have been mentioned but there are  plenty other foreigners reporting and extending elsewhere who are not being harassed as such.

    ..Chiang Mai..keep your shirt on!

In my case I filled in the TM30 and signed it as the 'Housemaster or person Owning the property"  and presented that with a photocopy of the registered owner on the Chanot's, ID card. That was accepted without her being present and my 1600 baht was gratefully accepted too. (PS my yellow Tabien Baan meant nothing according to Immigration when it comes to the TM30..the yellow book is only issued by the Amphur Office and used for other procedures. I argued it was proof of my address, however when it came to proving i was back in the country i needed to submit the completed TM30 form. As far as i am aware that is the law and once again it is up to the relevant Immigration Office how they interpret it, based i would venture to say on their own knowledge of their own laws).

Normally house owners must report any foreigner staying on their premises within 24 hours - this means that my wife must report me when I arrive to her place from an overseas trip.

However nobody cares and nobody does it.

Hotels and guesthouses have an automatic reporting system that reports you when you check in.

..hmm..just wait for the time when you want to renew your visa and are denied until you pay the 1600b fine!

I called TOT this morning due to the outage.  They told me that an undersea cable has been cut in the south of Thailand, resulting in the outage.  I can only get online using my AIS phone as a mobile Hotspot.   No idea when TOT service will resume.

...they might be splicing in the 'one gateway'.
