Saltwater is good for flushing that too.
I've used baking soda and water for decades to cure an acid stomach. It works in minutes and avoids the numerous antacids that are expensive and no more efficient.
For chronic cases and GER it's better to consult a doctor.
For eating loads of peanuts, cookies, and beer together it works wonders I'm told by a compulsive friend of mine ????
..hmmm...what do you think a 'saline solution' is ?

..it will flush out your nasal pharyngeal cavity as will saline solution..that's about it.

I think he had a reason. He felt threatened and confused. Even if you are a macho man, a little sensitivity for others is nice.
..not about being macho or groucho..no need to play their evil stupid game..he could have said no..no..no..after he was/is brave enough to travel/get a condo/go jogging..how else are we ever going to stamp out corruption if you dont take a stand.

14 hours ago, RayOday said:Some background...I am 65 and in good shape so I do not look my age. I have lived in BKK for 5 years. Just after the last coup, there was a sharp spike in Thonglor police shaking down foreigners. In my case I was stopped by 2 motorcycle patrolmen. They wanted 50k baht because they said I had drugs on me. I told them I did not have drugs. They aggressively searched me and found nothing. They said if they wanted me to have drugs then they would make it so and I would be found guilty. I gave them 2k and they left. As a result of the many shakedowns
there was a public outcry with many expats registering their concern with their respective consulates. The concerns were communicated to the Thai leadership and positive action was taken.
Well last night at 10:15 I was walking briskly down Sukhumvit when 6 motorcycle police came at me from all sides. The location was near Asoke and within the Thonglor police jurisdiction. They asked what I was doing and I told them I was out for a walk to keep fit. They asked to search me and spent about 25 minutes throughly, almost meticulously, going through everything I had with me. They saw my money but made no move or said anything that would lead me to think they wanted to keep it. In fact they were careful to hand it back to me exactly as I gave it to them. This stop was not about trying to extort money from me. I find it troubling and strange that there were so many police focused on me. After a long yet fruitless search they turned and left as they came. I am writing of this account as I wonder if anyone recently had a similar experience or insight as to what is going on. I am interested in whether the search was a one off or is there an initiative underway and it's purpose. Tonight I did not go out.
...so you paid them for no reason..unbelievable!

..the majority of the causes of deaths of old people in facilities has been consistently recorded for decades by the facilties' general practitioner. Causes of Death are already predictable by each of their 'clients' medical history held on premises, and 'heart failure' and or 'chest infection' are added to the Death Certificate to make it nice and 'fuzzy' and acceptable by the families and authorities. Nice and easy; no post mortem and direct to a funeral. But, in amongst all that can be bacterium and viral infections that go undetected and have the potential to rip through a retirement village or aged care facility etc.
More and frequent testing is a must for all elderly folk, who are mixing still with young people ie their families on visitations and the US's fixation with birthday celebrations and every other family reunion is just a hot-bed for viruses.

In my local paper today in Colorado: "4 new deaths, 3 in their 80s and 1 in their 90s, all died while in long term care nursing homes".
The virus is killing people who were over their life expectancy and who were already indoors 24/7. How is this lockdown making any sense anymore???

So my wife and i have been complaining to the police for many years about 2 groups of people farming and living illegally on forest land in kanchanaburi. Just yesterday we learnt they are both police!. This country has real serious issues. We have had knives pulled on us and there is 12guage shotgun shells littering the surrounds of our property which have been used as scare tactics and intimidation for us to move out. We've been raided by police looking for anything illegal so i would be deported and my wife forced to leave. Countries a mess!!
..they just can't stop exploiting their fellow countryman...disgraceful behaviour..almost all i have met and have had dealings with (and that is quite a few), have little or know knowledge of the countries law; what they do in their Academy Training is anybodys' guess..but they sure know what extortion is all about.

..Spare us please!...of course Thailand will show that she has very few cases...hmmm...you know why?...cause they tested hardly any...you think we're all stupid?

Does anybody know there are webcams in Thai bars? I have read somewhere there are some bars with webcams where you can interact with the girls in a bar. They do this temporarily because of the Covid-19 situation. They were quite popular with tourists not being able to travel to Thailand and still having some feeling of travelling to Thailand because they are virtually in the bar. Can you give me some urls, names of the bars and how it works? Thanks.
..best you do your own leg-work'.
