Do you honestly think that the voters will be given a fair chance at voting? The rules will be changed to ensure that this group stay in power.
Surely not ?? How could they do that ??
Oh, wait...........

I think the OP was referring to the resident expats who need to do 90-day reporting, as well as renew their annual extension.
Currently those who should report their 90-day do not need to until 31st July.
Friday 1st August and Monday 4th (also Wednesday 6th) are both holidays, with the weekend in between. So the first viable day to report will be Tuesday 5th August.

I mentioned that some courses around Pattaya were telling a friend who runs a golf group that they were hoping to open 1st May. Unfortunately one of the courses confirmed that the 1st, 4th, 5th and 6th are all being treated as "holiday" days at a higher green fee rate........
So no great offers here yet and I am not yet convinced that they will open in Chonburi on the 1st. They did say that they did not expect the clubhouses to be open.
A couple of the high-end Pattaya courses are already advertising being open from May 1st.
Chee Chan seem to think that "only" 3200 bt will have them rushing back ????????????????????????????

And how is it that Thailand is about to borrow almost 2 trillion baht, and yet the currency strengthens ??
Could some of the expert economists out there explain that ??

The baht has only slipped against the pound in the last few weeks, so surely
one month's results are relevant in this case.
It's gained it all back and more today. 40.3 today

Currency traders—that’s mega banks, financial houses and even small individual traders. When the signals change from risk off (buy safe havens) to risk on (sell safe havens, buy emerging markets), your mighty Baht rises. And incredibly, they consider Thailand a stable economy (low inflation, decent interest rates, no political turmoil, and very high USD in reserve).
If they've got all these reserves, why are they borrowing nearly 2 trillion baht ??

My wife applied online and she also complained that some friends have received their meter deposits already. We checked on 14th April on line and there are two cash amounts shown totalling B2,000 "In process".
Where did you check online ??

My wife applied online for the meter rebate from the P.E.A.
Some of our neighbours have already received theirs.
We don't have PromptPay so asked for it to go into our Kasikorn a/c
Is there a helpline that my wife could call, can't see anything on their website ??
Thanks

If you say so. Just reporting what I read. It also stated that farangs would be randomly investigated for health screening. Obviously that implies something more than being temperatured going into a market.
Perhaps we'll get a free test and save 5000 baht????

What happens re. work permits that could now expire mid-way through the school year ?
Will the schools give another year with only 2 or 3 months left ?

On tv channel 16 (TNN) they are still advertising EPL on your phone.

So you need to present this form and other copies each time you enter / leave.
Also the WP requirement for foreigners infers that only those legally working in Pattaya will be allowed to cross.
So shopping trips to Makro / Tesco etc will be impossible ?
Tops on Kao Noi will be busy

If there was a rapid and reliable CV-19 test available, these people could have all been tested right then and there. Not just taking fever readings.
The only CV-19 test I know that is available now, you will get results "within" 5 days.
Would they pay the fee for the test ??

Bumrungrad are now asking 10500 bt for a test.
