it has nothing to do with being amazing or not. what I try to explain is you can live a better and richer life with less money.

by example some guys spend a fortune just to take a shower in a 5 stars hotel . I spend much less and I still get shower. do I feel dirtier because I didn't take a shower in a 5 stars hotel? after showering, I have just saved 5000 bahts that I can spend in something more worthy for me.

I do more than what you think. I travel regularly around the world to visit relatives. I save probably a few thousand bahts a year by traveling than buying an elite visa. 10000 bahts a month saved plus interest. I can do a lot with this money.

Today I have just saved 30000 bahts by not buying this new amazing iPhone 7. I am keeping my old phone until it breaks . money saved will go to the rent of my high rise building condo with fresh air. no iphone 7 but instead I got 10 months free rent. The iphone7 I will get it for 2000 bahts anyway.!

I know in Thailand if I live reasonably I will be OK. in Europe jobs don't pay anymore, there is nothing interesting in farang land except relatives, I explain them already that if they were not living in farangland I would not come back, to do what anyway.?I will be 50 soon, my goal is to cut all bridges with farang land. theses bridges just cost too much. if I need a new passport, we have embassies. by chance except bank accounts, I have nothing left in the West. relatives are dying one after one

just go to bkk. after 30 days go Vientiane get a 1 entry visa. extend it after 60 days. so u got 4 months.

go back Vientiane, you good for 3 months included extension .
then go savanaket and repeat process until they say go home.

what I miss from Thailand the most is the accent of my Thai gf, the thai food and their relax attitude.

I live very comfortably with 7k to 8k bahts a month and in Pattaya. it can be done. people think I live like a rat but in fact I have everything like TV Internet big bed furniture scooter all food I want, swimming pool nearby, .... in fact same life style will cost you 60000 bahts but as everything is managed by Thai people I pay like thai people, 10x less.
