  1. USA arr going down whoever will be the next president.

if it was so easy, they would have fix problems years ago.

I think we have been too far with these trades and there is no way to step back.

we are doomed since 9/11. debt will go up. nobody knows what will happen.

  2. I think ALL women love only your social status and your money. being married is the ultimate goal for a woman.

all they want is stay at home and be married so they can remain the rest of their life at home while the man take care of everything.

years later when problems arise, she finally wake up of her prince dream . so 2 choices: stick with the husband (of fear to lose face from her friends) or divorce.

  3. and what about filing tax? do a resident need to file tax?

Anybody who stays here more than 180 days in a year is liable for taxes and is considered a resident for tax purposes. The liability is basically for income earned from working either here or abroad if the money is brought into the country .
    if I m correct:

resident : must report their worldwide income

"O" visa : report only money in Thailand

  4. I had one baby owl too that someone gave me (falled from a tree) . fed him 5 x a day. was very cute and wanted even play. he flew in my room and landed of my shoulder, TV, drawer... he was scared the first day, but after giving food to him, I was his best friend. he was very interested by other birds outside I put him in a cage on the balcony when I was gone

they don't drink a lot but eat often, 6 pieces of meat usually 5 times a day or more . 30 pieces of chicken. (1cm by 5 mm) in average per day.

can eat raw chicken and liver. but this is not good food for them as they eat insect I believe . better if they eat their own food.

anyway after 2 weeks of intense care , I left the door open and the second morning he was gone. bye bye little bird, I still miss him.

  5. Why farang come Thailand and talk for farangs on internet and always say Thai no good ?....

Thailand not same same farangland, if come Thailand and say Thai no good...why not stay in farangland, but farang come Thailand for lady and get drunk for beer

pls let us know where "farangland" is on your map of the world

    look on your map...

  6. I don't know how to ask this question as a person in Thailand living here under a O visa has no real status. he is not even a resident. (what is an authorisation to stay in this case? a stayer or a "stayrident" ? )

so what are the advantage of a resident in Thailand versus a stayer (guys of 50 yo or more)

all I can think is a resident don't have to report every 3 months to an immigration office. is that correct?

  7. I suspect that the only "legal status" your home country cares about is "taxpayer".

in my country(EU country) I 'm a citizen and non resident, and I don't have to pay tax or even file application. I m off of their radar.

for Thailand I m a tourist residing in Europe and I don't have to pay or file tax.

when I will be 50, I guess I will be authorized to stay and spend my money in Thailand. No tax to pay.

what is called your O visa?

  8. hello to all.

I would like to know what will be my status with my home country when I turn 50 in Thailand.

I wont be retired because I wont receive any retirement benefits from my state.

I wont be tourist or long term tourist because I will be on a O visa with permit to stay in Thailand.

I wont be a worker, nor a student...

I wont be a resident of Thailand because apparently I need work 3 years in Thailand.

I am not a digital nomad...

So what will I be? what do I write under the occupation, status... question?
