Irrelevant what your recommendations are. This has absolutely nothing to do with the ceasefire talks underway right now. -

Full circle then. Everyone wants a permanent ceasefire, its easy, release the hostages and Hamas surrender. Done. -

That's a poll, not the US gov and actually 74% of the US public want a full ceasefire and release of all hostages. https://www.dataforprogress.org/blog/2024/2/27/voters-support-the-us-calling-for-permanent-ceasefire-in-gaza-and-conditioning-military-aid-to-israel -

Hamas terrorists, the one true obstacle to peace is now lashing out at the Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas for his pick of new PM Hamas lashes out at Abbas’s ‘unilateral’ designation of new PM The Hamas terror group criticizes the “unilateral” designation by Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas of an ally and leading business figure as prime minister with a mandate to help reform the PA and rebuild Gaza. Hamas says the decision was taken without consulting it, despite recently taking part in a meeting in Moscow also attended by Abbas’s Fatah movement to end long-time divisions weakening Palestinian political aspirations. “We express our rejection of continuing this approach that has inflicted and continues to inflict harm on our people and our national cause,” Hamas says in a statement. https://www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog_entry/hamas-lashes-out-at-abbass-unilateral-designation-of-new-pm/ -

Everyone wants a permanent ceasefire, its easy, release the hostages and Hamas surrender. Done. Its a lie to insinuate the US wants this without the other solutions as well. -

It really doesn't sound like you want a ceasefire at all, you're too busy ranting about how bad Israel is all the time or trying to bring in history, instead of solutions to stopping the war. Releasing the hostages, delivering more aid and stopping the killing now which everyone wants apart from Hamas. To that end, it seems the pressure put on Hamas by Qatar and Egypt into accepting a deal may be getting some results. Hamas delivers response on hostage deal proposal A senior Israeli official said Hamas' response was relatively positive and included for the first time the number of prisoners that Hamas demands to be released for each of the categories of hostages who are to be freed in the first phase of the deal. The Israeli official added that the number of prisoners that Hamas demands is still too high, but in a place where more serious negotiations can begin. "There is something to work with," said the Israeli official. Behind the scenes: Senior Israeli officials claim that in recent days Israel received indications from the Qatari and Egyptian mediators that point to shifts among Hamas' leadership that may lead to progress. https://www.axios.com/2024/03/14/hamas-hostage-ceasefire-deal-proposal-israel -

I can't imagine how it would feel if one of my daughters was held in the terror tunnels but living her hell with her would be the only thought I could have. Here's the words of just one mother. Meirav Berger: Hamas kidnapped my daughter. I don't know how much longer she can go on It has been more than two hundred and nineteen thousand, one hundred and fifty minutes since I last spoke with my daughter Agam. Yes, I’m counting the minutes. Not the hours, not the days, not the weeks or months. Minute-by-minute, my mind and body are in constant, excruciating pain as I wait for Agam, who was brutally kidnapped by Hamas terrorists on Oct. 7, to come back home. The last I heard from the brave hostages who returned from the depths of the Gaza underground, she was in a dark, damp tunnel. They told me she, too, might be a victim of sexual violence. https://nationalpost.com/opinion/meirav-berger-hamas-kidnapped-my-daughter-i-dont-know-how-much-longer-she-can-go-on -

Back on topic and fingers crossed for the ceasefire deal. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken yesterday: “No one should have to go through what they've gone through and what the other hostage families continue to go through,” Blinken said. “It's another reason why getting the ceasefire would be so crucial to enable us to bring the hostages home.” Blinken reiterated that there is a “very strong proposal on the table right now,” but said the ball is in Hamas’ court to accept it. “The question – will Hamas take it? Does Hamas want to end the suffering that it’s provoked?” he asked. “The question is there but I can tell you that we're intensely engaged every single day, almost every single hour with Qatar, with Egypt, to see if we can get a ceasefire agreement that will get the hostages out, get more aid in and create a pathway perhaps for a more lasting, secure solution.” https://edition.cnn.com/middleeast/live-news/israel-hamas-war-gaza-news-03-13-24/h_e18db6a763361faf6a52b822b1bc1ec5 Jammed hostage talks advancing as Hamas softens under Qatari pressure — diplomat Arab official says terror group has accepted modified version of framework deal already agreed to by Israel, but sides still need to sign off. Qatari and Egyptian mediators believe significant progress has been made this week toward securing a truce between Israel and Hamas, after talks appeared dead in the water, a senior Arab diplomat told The Times of Israel on Tuesday. Progress was made after Doha placed significant pressure on Hamas, warning the terror group that its leaders residing in Qatar would be kicked out of the country if they didn’t adapt their approach in the negotiations. https://www.timesofisrael.com/jammed-hostage-talks-advancing-as-hamas-softens-under-qatari-pressure-diplomat -

Yes a ceasefire. This is the fifth war that Hamas has provoked since it seized power in Gaza in 2007. Do some basic research and stick to the facts, I know you have a lot of difficulty with that. -

It was a diplomatic visit intended to promote international religious freedom and despite prior approval from the Saudi ministry of foreign affairs he was asked to remove it. I would not say that was over reacting. -

The figures are by the Hamas run Gaza health Authority, yes Hamas. Again you have no problem believing their figures but you query figures by IDF Perhaps go to this topic: How the Gaza Ministry of Health Fakes Casualty Numbers https://aseannow.com/topic/1321887-how-the-gaza-ministry-of-health-fakes-casualty-numbers/ -

Well, you are not getting the desperation leading up to this final conflict, as well the pressure in the region to do something. As UN chief Antony Guterres said. "It is important to also recognise the attacks by Hamas did not happen in a vacuum. The Palestinian people have been subjected to 56 years of suffocating occupation," he said. "But the grievances of the Palestinian people cannot justify the appalling attacks by Hamas."
