  1. Back on topic. IDF now confirms 199 people taken as hostage into Gaza. Rafah crossing remains closed with Hamas and Israel saying there have been no deals done and Egypt wanting safety guarantees before it reopens. So not looking good for those who have been queuing up. https://www.bbc.com/news/live/world-middle-east-67119233 The humanitarian crisis is worsening, was reading a report on the BBC last night from one of its reporters who lives in Gaza and had to evacuate along with hundreds of thousand others to south Gaza, a city called Khan Younis. Hamas is there firing rockets into Israel from near the hospital! Using the civilians as human shields. Khan Younis: A Gaza city on its knees, now with a million mouths to feed And it is not as if this city is safe from harm. It is regularly bombed - it is still in a warzone. Collapsed buildings and piles of rubble litter the streets. I heard rocket launches from near the hospital, as Hamas continues to strike inside Israel. That is an open invitation for retaliation. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-67116403
  2. Yes there is, Hamas does not produce all its arms from within Gaza...............duh
  3. Source RT News................. A questionable source exhibits one or more of the following: extreme bias, consistent promotion of propaganda/conspiracies, poor or no sourcing to credible information, a complete lack of transparency, and/or is fake news. https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/rt-news/
  4. Yet Hamas still produce their own military weapons in the Gaza factories
  5. The leader of Hamas, whose fortune is estimated at about $4 billion while many in Gaza struggle on $1 a day, rarely gives interviews. So when I met him in Istanbul for The Times a year ago, he did not pull any punches. “We are ready for war,” he said. “We are always ready for war.” https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/hamas-leader-ismail-haniyeh-interview-hgwrccqrd https://archive.ph/AAnGT
  6. You have totally misrepresented what was said on the interview.
  7. LOL, as I thought, your so called reliable source a Wiki entry that relies on its source [25] which happens to be a live blog update that has now closed from the 7th Oct on Al Jazeera. Try something a little more up to date with figures next time.
  8. The Jewish Press is the largest independent weekly Jewish newspaper in the United States. And? I would have thought they would have learned by now to provide a source for any claims as other credible media does.
  9. That statement is not attributed to any official or gov dept? I wonder where they got it from, not seen it reported in any other press either.
  10. Also just confirmed here: IDF says Hamas is preventing civilians from evacuating northern Gaza “We see an active effort by Hamas to block and prevent the population from going south. Hamas wants to show the world that it has casualties and dead,” IDF spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari says in a press conference. “We continue to urge the residents of Gaza City, go south… Hamas wants you as human shields… This is for your personal safety,” Hagari adds. “We are going to attack very widely in Gaza City in the near future.” https://www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog_entry/idf-says-hamas-is-preventing-civilians-from-evacuating-northern-gaza/
  11. This article just a few hours old also talks about the problems you mentioned but adds the possibility of the Hamas additionally making the crossing very difficult to open U.S. Citizens Stuck At Gaza-Egypt Border After Crossing Agreement Possibly Hindered By Hamas https://www.forbes.com/sites/antoniopequenoiv/2023/10/14/us-citizens-stuck-at-gaza-egypt-border-after-crossing-agreement-possibly-hindered-by-hamas/?sh=629c9d3129f9 No paywall link
  12. Considering that Hamas also controls the Gaza side of the Rafah border crossing into Egypt its not looking good.
  13. From the IDF "The world needs to know: we are at war with Hamas, NOT the people of Gaza."
  14. Trump needs to make his mind up............... In a rare move, the White House on Thursday publicly pushed back against former President Donald Trump after he labeled Israel's defense minister a "jerk" and also called the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah "very smart." Trump swiped at two top Israeli officials, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, with whom Trump once appeared to be close, "They [Israel] have a national defense minister ... if you listen to this jerk, you would attack from the north because he said that's our weak spot," Trump said. Gallant's office reportedly said in response that Trump was making "far-fetched speculation" and attested to the military's strength. Another GOP presidential candidate, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, said in a statement on social media that "it is absurd that anyone, much less someone running for President, would choose now to attack our friend and ally, Israel, much less praise Hezbollah terrorists as 'very smart. https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/trump-criticized-calling-hezbollah-smart-talked-potential-risk/story?id=103941138
  15. "Let's not forget that the Hamas Attack was done with some 1.500 militants." Where did you pluck that figure from that you want no-one to forget? There were 1,500 Hamas terrorists killed in Israel in the attack. That is not the total amount who were involved! The Hamas has a 40,000-strong military wing, that's without all those who help and facilitate them.
  16. I watched that on twitter last night, truly horrific, at the music festival the Hamas were throwing grenades into the packed bomb shelters, a survivor inside captured it. His face shows the terror of watching his friends being blown apart. Very disturbing
  17. Dead Hamas commander was freed in 2011 prisoner swap More on the death of Ali Qadhi, the Hamas commander who led the militant group's attack on southern Israel a week ago. The Israeli military said that "aircraft killed Ali Qadi, a company commander of the Hamas 'Nukhba' (elite) commando force". According to the Israel Defense Force, the 37-year-old was one of around 1,000 Palestinian prisoners released in 2011 in exchange for Gilad Shalit, an Israeli soldier who was captured by Hamas. Source BBC
  18. The IDF striking Hamas terrorist targets inside residential areas of Gaza where they are firing their rockets from.
  19. Of course, they need human shields. Cowards, still firing their rockets into Israel from within Gaza while the civilians provide cover.
  20. Israel's President gave an up to update on the situation today and included more disturbing details including: “There was no reason at all for this flaring up which ended in the worst tragedy that was ever inflicted in the history of Israel, and the highest number of Jews killed since the Holocaust, including Holocaust survivors.” Herzog described some of the first responders accounts of the events, that Hamas had thrown grenades into cars and others were shot as they escaped with their bodies in ditches. The president’s own advisor was mobilized to collect bodies, and said there was a family of 5 that had been tied up together, burned, and shot. "The injuries that were found on the bodies of the killed, the people the rescue teams who I met in the past two days, found signs of torture on the bodies unlike anything they had ever seen in decades of dealing with things like war and terror." https://www.i24news.tv/en/news/israel-at-war/1697102264-herzog-we-are-targeting-an-enemy-part-of-an-empire-of-evil
  21. If the scumbag terrorists Hamas have any loyalty to their families, children and ordinary Palestinians who are suffering in Gaza they would take this offered solution as a first step in de-escalation and release hostages to stop the siege. No electricity, water, or fuel for Gaza until hostages freed - Israel Israel's Energy Minister Israel Katz says the siege of Gaza will not end until Israeli hostages are released. In a social media post, Israel Katz said no "electrical switch will be turned on, no water hydrant will be opened and no fuel truck will enter" until the "abductees" are free.
  22. The key here is that this study was in combination with azithromycin. It is also an outliner study: Here's a meta analysis of 10 studies with hydroxychloroquine, with the result being that it increased adverse reactions. Safety and efficacy of hydroxychloroquine as prophylactic against COVID-19 in healthcare workers: a meta-analysis of randomised clinical trials Conclusions and relevance Our meta-analysis of 10 RCTs investigating the safety and efficacy of HCQ as pre-exposure prophylaxis in HCWs found that compared with placebo, HCQ does not significantly reduce the risk of confirmed or clinically suspected SARS-CoV-2 infection, while HCQ significantly increases adverse events. https://bmjopen.bmj.com/content/13/6/e065305
  23. Probably not as dumb as the people who took his advice literally.......... Accidental Poisonings Increased After President Trump's Disinfectant Comments In January, February and March of 2020, accidental poisonings with household disinfectants were up 5%, 17% and 93% respectively over the same months in 2019. In April, which includes an eight day period from the 23rd of the month to the 30th, following Trump’s comments, the increase was 121% compared to April of 2019. In the first ten days of May, things settled down some, with poisonings up 69% over the same 10-day period in 2019. Still, it bears repeating that no household bleaches, disinfectants or other cleaning chemicals are meant for any kind of internal use. https://time.com/5835244/accidental-poisonings-trump/
  24. Ok I can see your frantically struggling to back up your false claim but you need to try much harder
