  1. They need to sort out what numbers they want to make official, some announcements are saying 8,263 but the "Official" dashboard is saying 9,508 https://ddc.moph.go.th/covid19-dashboard/
  2. Here we go, trigger happy Provincial Governors doing their thing, crazy. "Breaking! #Curfew in #Thailand’s #Ubonratchathani province between 11 pm - 4 am, starting from 8 January 2022, to curb #COVID19 outbreak." https://twitter.com/sunaibkk/status/1479481018461552645
  3. 2 million youtube subscribers! There are opening adverts that get converted to cash for him per click, this is a full time job almost.
  4. Apparently should know on Sunday when it gets published in the Royal Gazette: "The details about the new rules for Test & Go are expected to be published in the Royal Gazette on Sunday. There may or may not be a mention of a cut off date. It may indeed be 15th January or it may be later. TAT are pushing for no fixed date. I believe MFA support this stance." https://twitter.com/RichardBarrow/status/1479447820549591040
  5. No he was referring to the Chinese one, he inserted the link in the video comments. I prefer to go to source material rather than him. On the 30th Dec he did a video where he mentioned that 80% of covid admissions in the UK were due to incidental cases and not as a direct result of covid. He was very wrong, at the time it was actually around 30% as confirmed by the UK ONS at the time. At the end of that video he said if he was wrong he would come back and say so, he never did. On the 15th Dec he predicted 1 million new infections in the UK daily by the end of Dec. He does make a fair amount of money from his daily uploads but I prefer not to contribute to that.
  6. Note for boosters, if you've had 2 Sinovac or 2 Sinopharm then boosters are recommended after just 4 weeks https://www.who.int/thailand/emergencies/novel-coronavirus-2019/situation-reports
  7. Bangkok governor ordered 109 secondary schools under the BMA's administration to move to online learning until Jan 16. https://twitter.com/TNAMCOTEnglish/status/1479399704890802176
  8. The aftermath of the Koh Phangan New years party Spreading COVID in Thailand totes worth it on TikTok (Video) As Thailand braces for lockdown and health officials forecast doom amid a surge of cases following the New Year’s holidays, people are uploading their positive test results juxtaposed with scenes of their mad party. Tabea.wnt had a great time on Koh Phangan, where it seems everyone who went to get their party on got infected at multiple super spreader events. “It was a good night though,” she wrote along with a video of her positive test results and packed island party scenes. https://coconuts.co/bangkok/news/spreading-covid-in-thailand-totes-worth-it-on-tiktok/
  9. Not according to John Campbell but according to a Chinese study, however its in pre print: A similar study was conducted in the US. "The authors emphasized that the inter-species transmission theory is just that, a theory, one of many posited so far for how omicron could have developed. (Others have previously speculated it may have developed inside a single immunocompromised person with a long-lasting infection.)" I wouldn't put too much weight on that yet....
  10. I was never one for closing bars now that Omicron is out in the wild, the UK managed Omicron without closing bars or clubs, although their immunity levels are higher than Thailand. The schools are the most important aspect to the measures that concern me. Having bars open and schools shut I will never agree with.
  11. Most measures announced in this article: Thai Covid Center holds major meeting, makes Omicron measure related announcements https://tpnnational.com/2022/01/07/thai-covid-center-holds-major-meeting-makes-omicron-measure-related-announcements/
  12. Extending the sandbox area's again which at least is something to be positive about The registration to enter Thailand via the tourist sandboxes, with seven days quarantine period, in Phuket, Krabi, Phang Nga and Surat Thani (Ko Samui, Ko Pha-ngan and Ko Tao) will be reopened on January 11 after it was halted on December 22. https://www.thaienquirer.com/36302/thailand-adjusts-entry-permissions-restarts-sandbox-entries-halts-text-and-go/
  13. Some good news at least: The registration to enter Thailand via the tourist sandboxes, with seven days quarantine period, in Phuket, Krabi, Phang Nga and Surat Thani (Ko Samui, Ko Pha-ngan and Ko Tao) will be reopened on January 11 after it was halted on December 22. https://www.thaienquirer.com/36302/thailand-adjusts-entry-permissions-restarts-sandbox-entries-halts-text-and-go/
  14. Yes great what vaccines/boosters do to help stop serious symptoms. Similar to delta breakthroughs
  15. Yes thanks i am aware of booster requirements with western vaccines and the studies. I was pointing out the lack of them with chinese vaccines for omicron
  16. Shortage of test kits now in Chonburi Chon Buri reports 1,342 new COVID-19 infections on Friday, most cases in Banglamung Most of the cases were linked to restaurants and pubs in Pattaya, Bang Lamung and on Bang Saen and Won Napa beaches. Health officials attributed the clusters among students at the Burapha and Kasetsart universities to New Year parties and celebrations. The spike in infections and active screening have caused a shortage of antigen test kits in the province. https://www.thaipbsworld.com/chon-buri-reports-1342-new-covid-19-infections-on-friday-most-cases-in-banglamung/
  17. You keep saying that, can you provide a link that details this and what ages it covers, ie from 12 years up or?
  18. What level of protection from Omicron does that give, not seen any studies on that yet with a booster of AZ or Pfizer after two Chinese vaccines. My wife had two Sinovac and and then an AZ booster 4 months ago. Only around 7/8% of people have had a booster so far
  19. ???????? Nothing whatsoever to do with the post you were responding to
  20. Who would be these scared rabbits you talk about? Making derogatory comments constantly does your cause no good whatsoever.
  21. Pretty sure you're right, according to this article Nevada was the last state not to report them officially: Nevada among last states to add rapid tests to virus tally CARSON CITY, Nev. -- Nevada this week became one of the last states to publicly report rapid antigen tests as part of its coronavirus tallies — a move that experts said could provide a fuller picture of the pandemic but also upend metrics used to gauge how the virus is spreading. https://abcnews.go.com/Technology/wireStory/nevada-states-add-rapid-tests-virus-tally-80495179
  22. If in Bangkok try: The registration for Pfizer booster shots at Bang Sue Vaccination Centre via mobile network providers opens on Friday including: AIS = http://ais.th/vaccine DTAC = https://app.dtac.co.th/vaccine/index.html NT = https://covid19vaccine.ntplc.co.th/CVC/info TRUE = http://vaccine.trueid.net https://twitter.com/ThaiEnquirer/status/1479287008103067648 Otherwise you need to check the hospital or provider where you had your previous vaccinations and ask them
  23. When was that figure recorded and was it from age 12 years up? Regards Omicron I thought we already know it was milder even without vaccinations but vaccinations bring a level of protection to reduce serious illness and deaths
  24. Actually my suggestion would to treat people who intentionally decided not to take a vaccination very differently and make them pay for their hospital treatment. I don't know about you but I find these NYC COVID charts compelling. Purple line = unvaxxed. Orange = vaxxed. https://www1.nyc.gov/site/doh/covid/covid-19-data.page#daily
