I am not responding to the OP, I am responding to those that have posted their concerns or otherwise (I'm definitely in the otherwise faction) this 'Person' since becoming a member has only ever posted what I would term narcissistic threads, it is never his fault, the world is against him etc etc, I was under the impression that he was heading back home, which I thought was the US of A now turns out it's Oz.
I can't say what I really want to as I've already had an enforced holiday for saying what I was thinking about certain posts on here, just deleted a dodgy sentence in case I get a lifetime ban ????

That'll see a reduction in Chinese visitors to Patts then, they survived the Gibbon but surcomed to the Thai drivers, oh the irony ????

I read this on here yesterday but at the time I was too shocked, sickened & sad to reply, Thailand really needs to educate its young about birth control, and that if an unwanted pregnancy does occur that there are options open to them about what to do.
I have only been commenting on here for about 3 years but have been reading it for so much longer and the amount of times this has happened is unreal, babies being buried alive in sugar fields, mother who already has 4 kids dumps newborn in trash can accompanied by one of her kids etc etc, and so it goes on, please Thailand get a grip of your kids and educate them. ????????

This is a very serious situation, it would appear that the Chinese have S E Asia by the short & curlies with regard to the river flow. Best send for these guys,

Is half a kilo of TNT louder than a full kilo of gunpowder?
Not sure about TNT but C4 (Plastic explosive) gives a pretty good bang as opposed to Gunpowder, and with Plastic you don't need to contain it, just stick a detonator in and away you go ????

Sorry to hear about your troubles mate, I fear it is one we are going to be hearing a lot more of in the coming months, and not just Brits but expats that cover the whole spectrum.
I can't really offer any practical advice as I have been here for close to 8 years and at nearly 66 would not want to go job hunting, maybe some casual work as a fitter or taxi driver, or an advisor at something like Homebase or some of the other DIY places, the biggest problem is gonna be accommodation, my mate pays out over £600 for a 1 bedroom flat, then you have council tax, water rates, electric, gas & TV licence and probably a load of stuff I forgot.
Good luck feller
Posted simultaneously to CharlieH, sorry for any duplication.

I don't know if you are into Lamb Chops (me & the Mrs have them at least once a week) but while you are buying your grass fed beef from Big C @ Klang get a couple of their Lamb Chops, salt, pepper - grill and serve, absolutely divine. ????

I suppose that in the usurpers limited mental capacity he figured that if the guy got away with a big con a few years back he can possibly do it again under the guise of Finance Minister, you really would have trouble making up some of this stuff ????

But you were quoting me???
I too have tried both. I also remember the scandal of the Argentinian corned beef in the 80s.
Most processed, canned meat is crap. Let's face it. As are most supermarket bought sausages and burgers, pies and pasties.
I was replying to post 57 - yours I think,
I thought this was a foodie thread????
Then someone posts that a tin full of bovine toe nails, testicles and a@@eholes, mixed with a little meat is superior to home made corned beef brisket.
Must have been mistaken.

Not sure what you mean about "ours and yours".
I come from UK.
That was mainly directed towards our U.S. and Commonwealth members who don't seem to have had the pleasure of a tin of bully beef, hence the ours & yours comment, most of them have never tried it and fob it off as crap ???? At least I have had both so feel qualified to comment. ????

I have no problem with your comment, a bit like certain fast food outlets so called "Chicken Nuggets" and the ingredients therein, however having been brought up in the UK in the 50's I appreciate things like "OUR" Corned beef compared to yours, the first time I tried your Corned Beef was maybe only 3 years ago, it has absolutely no comparison to our canned bully beef and as I have previously stated they are like chalk and cheese, I prefer mine to yours, it's as simple as that, and not whether one is a heathen for liking something he was brought up on, remember we still had rationing and as a child I played on bomb sites in the middle of London. unlike you guys from USA, Aus & NZ that were shielded from the actual physicality of the war, Yes I know you lost a lot of sons, brothers & fathers as did we and I remember them each and every day almost. Truce.

I can assure you sir that the two are like Chalk & Cheese, absolutely no comparison, may I suggest you buy a tin, chill in the fridge for a few hours, cut some thick slices apply to buttered bread cover with HP or Daddies Brown sauce add the other buttered slice and eat, I think you will agree that the tinned version is superior in every way to that tatty imitation you have posted ????

You must not be British. My granny's recipe; make a salty curing brine with a little prague powder with pickling spices like mustard seed, allspice berries, coriander seeds, and peppercorns. Then you marinated a beef brisket in the brine, for 5 to 7 days. Once brined, you remove the brisket from the brine and simmer it in water with more pickling spices for several hours until tender.

That sir is not corned beef, I have an Aussie friend who makes the Aus version of Corned Beef, below is the Corned beef we refer to:

UK the same i get £69 a week marriage allowance which will end next April 2020 for everyone in the UK or abroad as far as i know, and no reasons given that i'm aware of!
Thanks for the info sir, where did you hear this ? I have a friend up North of Korat currently receiving his state pension and a top up as he is married (to a Thai, but I think that is irrelevant).
I do know that the DWP (Department for Work and Pensions) stopped the allowance many years back but was still paid to those in receipt at the time, are you saying that they will stop the extra allowance for married people ? if so can you direct me to a site where I can get more info so I can inform him, thanks in advance ????

I don't want to be seen as a naysayer, merchant of doom and gloom and quite frankly sceptical of the last 15 years (that I know of) improvements to Beach Road, but does anyone want a bet that whatever they are doing will have absolutely zero effect on the flooding problem of beach road and the beach.
Just another 95 Million Baht to be shared with the lucky few, the first decent rainstorm after completion will have the usual result.
Other opinions are available.............

When I was with EOD in Belfast, cassette incendiaries were a regular occurrence, I have some photos somewhere of some devices made by the friendly inmates of Crumlin road jail, I'll dig them out when I get home and stick one on here.
