  1. Thanks. Guess I might have to set aside a day to apply... The application form has many sections!
  2. This is for Malaysia, and I think they want it from country of origin
  3. Unfortunately that's for people living in England and Wales. This is for an overseas visa
  4. It seems UK embassies can't offer a letter or stamp a form to this effect.... the only option seems to go through ACRO in the UK - cost is about £50 and looks like delivery could take a while. The application is also a long one. Are there any other quicker options for proving I have no criminal record?
  5. There's definitely an urgent need to go for a shower which you don't have after Thai massage
  6. I think the knots are just knots of muscle tissue? IMO having a massage a day isn't an issue. But obviously it isn't a complete replacement for exercise. The Thai massage is great for keeping you as supple and stretched as possible... But as we know, a lot comes down to the skill of your masseuse. My current massage lady is like a whirlwind and her work rate means she can get through about 3 times the activity of a slow massage lady within one hour.
  7. The oil massage may feel more relaxing, but it also has benefits such as targeting the little knots in your back and around your body, making it easier for your masseuse to run her hands over your skin and find the tough spots. The Thai massage is more a a rigurous massage and a great stretch, improving your flexibility and virtually giving your body a 'work out'. Both have their health benefits, and both have their place IMO... OP - nothing to stop you doing oil and Thai massage on alternate days. This can work well
  8. Why wouldn't you name them? I think I know which country you are referring to
  9. I don't think there is a direct flight anymore. Ditto for Surat Thani
  10. Cheap, reliable, hassle free, grab has definitely changed the landscape on Bangkok. The cars are usually nice and comfortable too
  11. A friend is coming to Thailand on a tourist visa, and plans to extend after 60 days by another 30. If he gets asked for onward flight, can that be after the 60 and before the 90 day mark? Or must be within 60? I explained to him that he could probably buy a cheap flight ticket to 'burn' if needs be
  12. I think there's definately been some around, whether it's been found or not. And worryingly its sold as cocaine.
  13. Remember him sitting right where he is on that photo. At the end of the pier. Just entertaining the backpackers waiting for their boats.
  14. So if we turn up in a few months and see a Man City scoopy parked in the drive way, we know you've taken the oil money.
  15. Are dark circles normal? Before having the tooth extractions I was on holiday and drinking for about 10 days, that's why I'm thinking the antibiotics may not be good for my liver.....
  16. I recently had 4 wisdom teeth out, and in the Thai tradition was offered a doggy bag of drugs to take home.... these included antibiotics, which I'm not sure are fully necessary.... Should I finish the course even though they were given as a protective measure? They don't usually affect me too much, but with these I feel really drowsy and have dark circles under my eyes. Anyone else experienced this?
  17. ^^^... Was that a good price? My flight out was booked for the following day so by the time I'd had the consultation and been quoted it seemed easier to just get it done.
  18. I paid 16k baht for all 4 wisdom teeth out, including x-ray and medication.
