Bluetooth Speakers For The Home
Another vote for the Xiaomi L09 smart speaker above. Positives it's WiFi and so doesn't drain your phone battery as opposed to Bluetooth speakers. A cheap Google premium account here includes YouTube music that integrates well with the speaker to give you access to the biggest music library online. The speaker has been tuned by DTS and gives good quality sound.

Violent Outburst on Bangkok-Chiang Mai Train Sparks Outrage
You need to correct the headline, MAN kicks old lady multiple times! Disgusting behaviour by a lady boy, I'm surprised he wasn't thrown out of the carriage.

Do you love your Toyota Hybrid? You should
Anyone considering a hybrid should look at the Honda alternative to Toyota. They have a more developed drivetrain that's probably setting the benchmark these days plus they are also being assembled in Thailand so cost effective here.

Thai craft beer boom: New regulations fuel brewery growth
I've just returned from Vietnam. Amazing craft beer and not expensive. Another nail in Thailand's coffin if they don't get with the tourism program.

Does air conditioning reduce PM2.5 ?
I stayed in a cheap hotel and took my pm 2.5 meter with my during an escape south. The air quality definitely improved overnight with the AC running. I would suggest others with a meter do a similar test. The air is being blown over a tray capturing the water from the humidity. I think that this can trap PM 2.5 particles.

Good on her. The honours system is a joke now that Saddo Khan has been nominated. The waste of space should be jailed after destroying London our capital city..

UK Pensioners in Thailand Face New Scrutiny Over Pension Fraud
https://bbc.com/news/uk-politics-65037136 I'll just put this out there. Starmer managed to game the UK with his pension trick. Surely that's all the smart Expats are doing..

Cataract Surgery Chiang Mai - for info
Thanks for raising this discussion Mike. I had a trifocal lens fitted back in the UK last year after having previously having retinal surgery in Sriphat. I am surprised that you are getting advised that the lens replacement won't correct your vision. Even a monolens is normally made specifically for your eye based on measurements taken by the specialist. Surely they aren't saying that they are just going to fit any generic lens in such an opportunity to sort out your vision. After having had a bad experience with Sriphat myself of going through unnecessary retinal surgery I suggest that you get a second opinion. I was so untrusting of the Thai system I returned to the UK for my cataract surgery.

When to renew UK passport.
Be careful, they don't extend the validity any more so you only get 10 years from the start of the new passport. I would plan carefully having lost nearly 1 year recently..

Non-O Marriage Visa Extension: Any updates?
Ignore my last post.. the online TM30 system now has a print option. It looks very official so I assume that it will be accepted when renewing your visa..

Non-O Marriage Visa Extension: Any updates?
The TM30 is now online however you can't print a document from the online system. You have to produce a printed TM30 for the visa extension and immigration at CM appear happy to use your old copy. i.e. don't throw the old printed TM30 away...

YouTube blocking
So you don't value the higher quality video or higher quality music streaming than the free option? It's a veritable bargain given the price in Thailand..
-
YouTube blocking
The benefits of premium membership far outweigh the hassles of ad blocking. You get access to the special 1080p resolution, a music subscription and no ads. I use the family subscription for 299 baht and my family back in the UK can also use it. Everyone has dumped their Spotify subscriptions so it's a real bargain for us.

True vision premiership packages for premiership football and free sites
I've given up with IPTV providers and the free websites. TrueID is only 400 baht per month and it's reliable with no buffering. Sideload the TrueID application on your Android TV and it's controllable with a Bluetooth mouse..

Spotify raises premium subscription price for millions
