Supreme Court asked to probe convicted Thaksin’s privileges
The quote from the OP is sadly very sobering, but true! "The Democrat said the privileges granted to Thaksin reinforces the popular axiom that Thai prison is for poor people only. "

Another Disappointing Encounter with the Thai Medical Establishment
I don't think anyone is trying to 'play the victim' here? What you say in general is true, that is you get pretty good, fast service for a reasonable price, certainly compared to the US. However the fact there are two separate price lists, quite legally, for medical services seems unfair at best and xenophobic at worst!

National crackdown underway as German spurned in love, is arrested for a 5-month visa overstay in Krabi
Every word you say is true. You mention the word 'criminal' or criminal's several times and indeed overstayers, if caught are criminals, I wonder though if the immigration and police would be allowed to carry on their criminality in other countries as they do in Thailand?

"National crackdown underway " How many times a year do have this 'National Crackdown'? If they did their job, immigration, surely there would be no need?

Departure stamp not to the last extension stamp page
The immigration officer would normally stamp the exit stamp toward the last available space in the passport, closest the entry stamp but if there is no available space it can go anywhere, its all in the database anyway!

Thai hospital compensates family with 30,000 baht after medication mix-up
We all make mistakes, I agree! However not all mistakes are the same. A 'normal or small' mistake would be something like putting too much sugar in your tea, or forgetting to lock your house when going out. No one gets hurt! But when a person goes thru a red light, cos they didn't see it, could kill people and as this nurse did giving someone, a child, the wrong medication, could have killed the child? Normally it takes two nurses to give out medication so this type of thing doesn't happen! So one nurse checks that the other nurse has indeed given the correct medication. Maybe their procedures need improving, maybe its lack of training, I suspect we will never find out? The nurse screwed up and it could happen again?

Thai hospital compensates family with 30,000 baht after medication mix-up
The 'nurse' should be fired, the hospital should pay all expenses until the child is 100% recovered, the hospital should then compensate the family 10 million baht! I know it won't happen but...................

Chinese top visa holder summoned and fined over distorted claims about Bangkok’s notorious Nana
"The TikTok influencer was found to be in breach of Sections 8 and 101 of the Royal Decree on the Management of Foreigners’ Work. The provision provides for a fine of between ฿5,000 to ฿50,000 while leaving the visa holder facing cancellation and potential deportation as well as being blacklisted from holding a Thai work permit for two years."

Chinese top visa holder summoned and fined over distorted claims about Bangkok’s notorious Nana
Perhaps you are correct,I agree she is not a tourist, but many people do it and do not get caught, in fact if this woman hadn't live-streamed this video, brought attention to herself she would not have been caught? But your comment tourists need not worry, I disagree. If an ordinary tourist on say a 30 day visa does the same thing this woman did, express their opinion about Nana Plaza in a derogatory manner with a video, then posts it on tik tok or You Tube or whatever, it gets noticed and the RTP pick up on it, knowing the defamation laws in Thailand, don't you think they would do something? In the attached article it states "The crackdown and warning to other foreigners in Thailand using social media to criticise the kingdom and damage its reputation is a stark one and sends a chilling message"
-
Chinese top visa holder summoned and fined over distorted claims about Bangkok’s notorious Nana
Correct, it seems she upset the 'wrong' people and they have gone completely over the top! The RTP could have hushed this up and it would have gone away, like when bad cops get transferred to inactive posts. Now in China everyone knows what happens when you criticize Thailand, I bet TAT are real happy?
-
Chinese top visa holder summoned and fined over distorted claims about Bangkok’s notorious Nana
Quite so, its seems they found an excuse to potentially deport and blacklist her, when in reality she had not committed an offence. Just having an opinion on something and putting it on tik tok or you tube appears to be a no no in Thailand!
-
Chinese top visa holder summoned and fined over distorted claims about Bangkok’s notorious Nana
Correct but potentially she faces deportation and even blacklisting! "Chinese social media influencer, Zi Yu Wang, who entered Thailand on an exclusive Thai Privilege visa, faced possible deportation"
