Yes, last time i was there, 2016, all bags are checked by x ray machine, they don't open all the luggage like they used to years ago! They are really looking for booze, I suspect, but anything looking suspicious they will open your luggage.

Yes i did, very busy. I am sure there will be a high season, I was just wandering because now everywhere is open. other countries I mean, how 'high' this year will be! Bearing in mind the high season last year, just gone, Dec/Jan/Feb was first time after covid Thailand was really open and I am sure people were eager to travel. Also airfares remain high!
