  1. I wonder if I will only consider the things I find funny now when I’m hitting my 60’s+. While they are all funny, there are a lot more things out there that are just as great. Bill Burr, Urzila Carlson, mark normand,, Arj Barker, Andrew Schultz to name a few.
  2. Does Suvarnabhumi airport still have working Kasikorn ATM machines airside / before you get your bags?
  3. I probably shouldn’t post this because I haven’t fact checked it and I don’t know the news source. It was just sent to me. https://www.channelnewsasia.com/asia/thailand-reinstate-mandatory-covid-19-quarantine-foreign-visitors-omicron-2393381 if I read it correctly, they will honour existing approved Thailand passes.
  4. Thanks for this post. I was under the impression the first covid test on arrival to Thailand was done in airport. So nice to see it is done at hotel. Cheers.
  5. I’ve told my lot to get whatever vaccine they can for now and use the paid waitlist Moderna ones as boosters after 6 months.
  6. There are plenty of cases in Hong Kong of people considered close contact that have been sent to government quarantine. 3 pilots in Frankfurt got covid and this required up to 100 other close contact pilots to be put into penny’s bay for 21 days iso, followed by about another 100 family and school members considered close contact. That’s just one example of many. To answer the op’s question, I am yet to find anyone that will cover a mandated quarantine with a negative PCR test. You would think, like any insurance, they would calculate a risk analysis and produce a premium. if the risk is so small, then why not offer it?
  7. Thanks - but is this a government requirement to have to take that transport? I'm wanting to hire a car for the duration of my stay and just trying to manage that. Would be easier to pick up at airport on arrival and drive to 1st night hotel.
  8. Please tell me that’s true ???? The republic of China is Taiwan, so that would make the mainlanders bristle big time.
  9. Are you expected to make your own way to the 1st night hotel (can you hire car at SVB or get a taxi and make your own way), or does the hotel have to pick you up?
  10. Does this mean foreigners will be able to send international transfers without submitting all the documents / meeting their requirements?
  11. Fishing, bike riding, 2 place buggies, hiking. I was surprised how much there is to do just looking around google maps.
  12. Yeah I’ll be liquidating everything. 45 days is not enough in my opinion. And the bigger worry is how they will get the money from you. If you don’t meet 2 of the 4 requirements - Will they demand all your financial details from day 46, tax you and you have to claim it back somehow proving you don’t meet enough of the requirements or will they require proof before hand and then not bother you.. Another Australian government sh!tshow.
  13. Just did a search, these were the first two that came up. But they basically go through the issues. https://atlaswealth.com/news/changes-to-the-australian-tax-residency-rules-affecting-expats/ https://www.mondaq.com/australia/income-tax/1109524/proposed-changes-to-the-tax-residency-provisions-for-individuals-explained my worry is how they will implement it - charge you when you go over 45 days and expect you to claim it back, or some other way.
  14. @Lemsta69 & @4MyEgo please also be aware of the proposed 45 days rule due to be voted in. It’s not pretty.
  15. I haven't checked recently, but I believe UOB out of Singapore used to lend money... But at eye watering rates.
  16. I 100% agree, but my "group" is saying that binance has a lot of issues and I should start to think of another platform to move everything onto. I dread the thought of having to do this though.
  17. FWIW, The small group of crypto nutters I'm with are not confident in ADA. They say the main guy talks a good talk but nothing to back it up. It's all a bit out of my depth tbh.
  18. How are they checking the "must reside in listed countries for 21 days prior to entry to Thailand" and does that have to be one location for 21 days or can visit other same status countries within that 21 days period?
  19. True about the sodas etc. If I was to drink milk, I would drink while milk over low fat. In my experience, it's fat makes you feel full. But should be easy to substitute no additional sugar almond milk.
  20. Search YouTube for documentary "fat, sick and nearly dead". Must watch part 1 and part 2. Cut out sugar as much as possible. (whole milk and low fat milk have the same amount of sugar - and either way it's a lot).
  21. This was my understanding too. I was looking at Finland as it has direct flights from bkk for her and where I live for me and has no quarantine required on arrival and “only” 2 weeks when I get back home. I can enter, but gf needs Schengen. Looking at the vfs global website, it’s not looking like they will issue her the visa.
  22. He makes it sound like those previously infected can just waltz on in anywhere they please and order up some Moderna or Pfizer. Completed disconnected with reality.
  23. They aren't refunding my gf. It's a complete mess. Told October, paid for October. Update now jan to May 2022 - no refund. Can only try and on sell. Now possibly back to October. <deleted>.
  24. I don’t have many coins and mostly encouraged by friends that are “all in”. I’m in a group chat with them and they talk like the above proponents. I am skeptical like you. They start talking about defi and god only knows what else and I’m lost. My opinion is the technology will first benefit bigger organizations for storage and transfer of digital tech and many more applications that non tech or in the industry people like myself just wouldn’t have a clue about. The end consumer use will be a long way off. But I’m not putting any more cash in.
