Yawn...no difference to the results you'd get from a poll in any country that's done a half decent job of suppressing the virus. Difference is most of their economies are probably not as reliant on tourism

I think people are getting carried away with this travel bubble talk.
International travel (between most countries, excluding hotspots) will resume sooner than later (I think Q4 this year) but there will be a number of control measures which will/may likely include quarantining (at your expense) and testing (either at your departure point and/or on arrival).
The guy suggesting no domestic travel within Oz this year I don't get the logic there...looking like September at latest

Complete rubbish, probably not even in the top 50 destinations for Aussies travelling abroad

No real opinion personally on which strategy is better, but Australia (with extremely low community rates) is pushing ahead with school reopening as soon as next week. Main reasoning has been kids seem to be less prone to contracting and suffering severe symptoms, and also the need to free up parents to be able to return to work.

Sure no helmets and lucky that truck following wasn't in their lane... nonetheless looks clearly like the truck has either changed lanes not looking or cut the angle into other lane while on the slight bend....both very common habits in Los I'm afraid

Off topic, but finally a new business lounge at Swampy...about bloody time

My wife lived and worked in Australia for 10+yrs, came back to Thailand for opportunity to do her own business, but was never obsessed about getting back, under different circumstances she would have happily stayed.
Regarding your predicament, why not keep both places and split your time between countries, cherry picking the best weather etc...that's what I'm planning in retirement

1.5% of GDP, lowest in the region and well below the global standard for these things.
Spot on, it's all relative...let's not let the facts get in the way of a good story...
Also worth bearing in mind the public service here (army, police etc) while far from perfect are a very large employment source for young Thais and this ultimately contributes to the economy.

As you acknowledge, her visa is not permanent...my wife lived/worked in Oz for 10+yrs, has moved back here permanently now, but used to get a 5yr visa renewal for a minimal fee...now 3-400AUD yearly with the re-apply hoops and bullshit to jump thru, and the rhetoric in oz re immigration now only likely to get harder.
One to remember for everyone bashing the system here...they ain't alone

Immigration has required that a marriage or birth certificates used to prove their relationship to you be legalized for a few years now. It is certainly nothing new.
You have just been lucky it was not asked for before.
Ubonjoe what do you mean by legalized ? I was recently trying to apply for a non O marriage multi entry in Australia and was told I need "another certificate"....I had presented registry certificate from our marriage in Australia 20yrs ago...think the OP was being difficult with other minor issues also so held my tongue and left.

Slightly off topic but for future reference, has anyone who's done a non O marriage multi entry from Australia know if it's mandatory for the invitation letter to be hand written ? Or can it be typed with a hand signed signature ? Cheers

Sensational line-up...I'm voting for 4 with honourable mentions for 18,19...tho I'm sure most of them have never taught a class.
Like Col said, where were these teachers when we were at school 555

Suprised ? Of course not.
This poor <deleted> was probably completely uneducated & illiterate, let alone having any concept of road rules in what is not his native country.
Add to that probably living in some hovel leading to sleep deprivation and/or a dependance on yaba.
All you can hope is they don't take anyone else down when they #£% up
