  1. One: Wet season hasn't started. Two: The wet will continue into October so at least a month off there about. Three: This is the big one; the drainage systems in villages, towns and cities are fkd.
  2. I was not talking about that was I but nobody can deny that China is flooding the international market with cheap products which was my point. If you want to argue then argue against the point I'm making. As for Thailand using cheap labor, cheap labor is used everywhere in this era of globalisation is it not.
  3. I not sure that's fair. The CCP heavily subsidises it's industries and floods the international market with cheap goods. EV's are a good example of this. Prison labor is also used in China to produce extremely cheap products.
  4. A broken clock shows the correct time twice a day. Keep up the good work TMD.
  5. Means nothing. This is a long term now, pie in the sky project and this is just more propaganda from a failing government.
  6. Rather apt that the image is a mobile phone which won't be/will be/won't be/........ able to be purchased using the handout. Apart from that there will be no long term stimulus as the money will all be spent in 1 week.
  7. Fair chance by then Thailand will be .... The Hub of Coup d'états. Oh wait! It already is.
  8. More destabilization going on. If one was a cynic one may think that this is being orchestrated in way of ushering in the next coup-d'état.
  9. This is the problem with this nonsense. The figures mean absolutely nothing. Last month 4 searches this month 8? And of course a search is just that. A search. Having said this, away from the tourist spots means away from the tourists and this I highly recommend.
  10. Whoopie-Doo! Not exactly bragging rights here. https://www.library.hbs.edu/find/databases/imd-world-competitiveness-online World Competitiveness is a field of economic theory, which analyzes the facts and policies that shape the ability of a nation to create and maintain an environment that sustains more value creation for its enterprises and more prosperity for its people. The IMD World Competitiveness Center's approach to world competitiveness is to analyze how nations and enterprises manage the totality of their competencies to achieve increased prosperity. Prosperity for it's people? Well way off the mark there. Prosperity for a few families for sure but not the people. Just more grasping at straws propaganda rubbish.
  11. These things are sometimes sorted out the Thai way. Shoot someone.
  12. A hot, humid and mainly dry June. The wet is still some way off.
  13. Being that the topic is the lese majeste law in Thailand specifically Section 112 of the Criminal Code, there is absolutely no reason to mention any other country other than to point out that this law is anachronistic.
  14. An interesting court case against Pfizer in Kansas: PETITION COMES NOW the Plaintiff, State of Kansas, ex rel. Kris W. Kobach, Attorney General, by and through Assistant Attorney General Kaley Schrader, and for its cause of action against Defendant, alleges and states as follows: NATURE OF THE ACTION 1. Pfizer misled the public that it had a “safe and effective” COVID-19 vaccine. 2. Pfizer said its COVID-19 vaccine was safe even though it knew its COVID-19 vaccine was connected to serious adverse events, including myocarditis and pericarditis, failed pregnancies, and deaths. Pfizer concealed this critical safety information from the public. 3. Pfizer said its COVID-19 vaccine was effective even though it knew its COVID19 vaccine waned over time and did not protect against COVID-19 variants. Pfizer concealed this critical effectiveness information from the public. 4. Pfizer said its COVID-19 vaccine would prevent transmission of COVID-19 even though it knew it never studied the effect of its vaccine on transmission of COVID-19. 5. To keep the public from learning the truth, Pfizer worked to censor speech on social media that questioned Pfizer’s claims about its COVID-19 vaccine. It's a very long list of complaints against Pfizer and the outcome will be very interesting to see. https://fingfx.thomsonreuters.com/gfx/legaldocs/egvboakldpq/2024-06-15-pfizer-complaint-(002).pdf
  15. The Junta weaponizing Section 112 is fine but MFP wanting to de-weaponize it is tantamount to overthrowing the monarchy.
  16. And just how many are dying? As I said the chances of dying from Omicron, whatever variant, is very, very, very slim indeed. If a person is immunocompromised for example then the risk increases but for the majority Omicron in a non-severe viral infection. This is the reality.
  17. Been a pretty dry June so far where I am. Much the same every year. Hot and humid with occasional storms. The wet season has not started. Maybe mid to late July.
  18. Thailand Introduces Tougher Drug Possession Limits to Control Drug Trafficking Want to control drug trafficking then chop the head off the snake and all the corrupt officials. This anachronistic approach the govt. is taking has decades of supporting evidence showing it doesn't work.
  19. How many do you know of that have died and those who had it bad when was this?
  20. Sorry but how many people died here in the last week? I'd think severe commodities may be present but how many people in Thailand have one or more comorbidities. A very large number would be my guess which is obviously not reflected by the very, very small number of deaths attributed to Covid-19. Seems perspective is needed. We are talking a miniscule number of hospitalisations and an even more miniscule number of deaths in a population somewhere around 70,000,000.
  21. Just need to look at the numbers. Your chances of dying from Omicron are very slim indeed if you have no severe comorbidities.
  22. Chances are you'll get covid as will everyone else in the room being that it's highly contagious. If your all healthy, vaccinated or not, you should all be fine. Some cold like symptoms for a while or maybe some will have no symptoms at all. Maybe it will hit some harder than others. It's the nature of viruses. Same could be said for putting 20 people in a small room one of which is contagious with the common cold. Chances are everyone's coming out of there with a cold.
  23. A very logical and reasoned argument, one which those of us who do not blindly follow the narrative have been saying since recriminalisation was raised.
  24. I think you'll find this professor would not be alone in his assessment. You mention COVID and there is a link in that the narrative is very one sided but that seems to be changing for dope recriminalisatin and COVID. Good to see two sides of a story. This is how people can educate themselves rather than blindly following the "official narrative" which sadly so many do. We've now had this + the public opinion article saying the majority of Thais do not want recriminalisation.
