  1. Very sad indeed but why did this happen? You put these things up but never back it up with the actual facts just statistics. Was this baby born immunocomprimised for example? I don't know but do you? To show this is disingenous and you use this babies death as some sort of basis to support your narritve.
  2. Not one. All of them. And you make a good point about vaccine development. Was this the case for these vaccines?
  3. Flu (maybe) colds (yes), RSV (yes along with other respiratory infections), STD's (maybe), mono (yes), herpes more than likely herpes simplex virus 1 HSV1 otherwise known as cold sores (yes), TB (doubt it), not sure what "bad humours" is so (don't know), conjunctivitis often refered to as pink eye (yes), Covid-19 of the Omicron strain (yes) along with other communicable viruses as you say. Although not a viral infection you could also add students killed in road accidents most likely in motorcycle crashes. It's what happens as you correctly point out. Only one seems to be newsworthy though so as to keep pushing the narrative. All up I agree with you.
  4. I'll quote myself as I await the statistics from the CDC and WHO which are sure to appear to demonstrate this isn't the case and being boosted by mRNA jabs and mask wearing is a good thing. Maybe also suggesting that schools being locked down again is the way to go.
  5. Never used it but apart from the occasional problem Lines ok. Data such as docs, images and videos are there long enough to download to your phone or transfer to your computer. Sometimes these have expired but it's usually no big deal.
  6. Probably enough to kill some but so is the flu and even getting the common cold is enough to kill some people.
  7. Noooooooooooo! I was told a couple of weeks ago by someone very high up in a provincial government health dept that the Mayors of Bangkok and Samut Sakhon are keeping a close eye on infection rates and may delay school opennings. Haven't these people learnt anything? "He noted that the recent increase in cases, mostly caused by the Omicron variant, is partly because people mistake COVID-19 symptoms for a regular flu. He suggested that anyone showing flu-like symptoms should get a COVID-19 test to stop the virus from spreading further." Surely he means the common cold as for the majority this will be the case. When you get the flu you know you've got the flu. Is this expert saying incorrectly the flu instead of a cold? Common vernacular. "I've got the flu" when indeed this is not the case. It's just the common cold. Apart from this another rediculous headline. Expect Increase in COVID-19 Cases as School Term Approaches Expect Increase in COVID-19 Cases as Schools Open.
  8. One under each wing and a small jet engine in the tail called the auxiliary power unit APU. Have a look at posts above. Already explained.
  9. I once saw a young elephant eat a mandarine. It was amazing. It trod on it so delicately to just break the peel. Then picked it up with its trunk and ate the flesh and discarded the peel. Outstanding. There were Thais around at the time and we were all amazed.
  10. I gave the laugh emoji because I can't give the agree emoji also. You are correct. Harvard University. Claudine Gay. Done for plagiarism which is a level higher than academic fraud. Citation is something we are told we have to do certain times on here so why doesn't the same apply to the "writers" of articles on here which no longer attribute articles to their rightful owner. To say The Sun didn't lift the article from somewhere else is unknown to me but this article was definitely lifted from The Sun without attribution.
  11. As I said above this is a lift from The Sun and everyone knows that's a trash paper. AN has jus copied it with some changes. This would be acemedic fraud at the very least or plagiarism at worst in education circles as it's unattributed. Basically a stolen article albeit a crap article.
  12. It really is pitiful but sadly it does reflect a mentallity of Thai culture. Just need to look at the kindergarten slap fight at the top of the RTP. A lot higher level for sure but still a schoolyard slapfight between the corrupt and the corrupt.
  13. 777 also very quiet in flight with great seats and leg room. Always flew Singapore Airlines. Very nice flights aboard the magnificent 777.
  14. Boeing 777 will always be the best jet I've ever taken. Econ class of course.
  15. Interesting to see that inflation is not mentioned. Mmmmm? I wonder why people have less spending power? Nevermind the 100's of billions baht that needs to be taken from the coffers and borrowed for the populist PTP 10k card should fix that.
  16. Can you explain to us how the lives of the passengers were almost ended? I and I'm sure others on this thread would love to know.
  17. I'm thinking it was just the APU failed after pushback or when taxiing. No big deal but a bit of bad luck for the passengers on this particular flight..
  18. Sorry you are wrong. The wealthy help the planet in regards to climate change because they own a EV Merc in their fleet of non-EV Mercs.
  19. Seeing that I have some negative reactions to my above post it would seem that some people on this forum do not know that modern twin engine aircraft are quite capable of flying on one engine.
  20. Fairly sure Sonthiya Sawasdee will be covered in gold and has a very, very nice house and probably a merc or two so as always the one's who complain the loudest are the big mouth hypocrites as moderation is one of the three key pillars of this philosophy.
  21. This article is an unattributed lift from The Sun (A ChatGPT article itself) with AI changes. Here are some examples ..... The Sun: In one of the most jaw-dropping ordeals, 50 of the huge animals decided to saunter across a highway in Chachoengsao - leaving humans forced to watch on and wait. AN: In a notable event, a herd of 50 elephants crossing a highway in Chachoengsao halted traffic. However, the situation escalated when a seven-ton bull elephant named Duea sat in a motorist's car in Khao Yai National Park. The Sun: Provinces like Nakhon Ratchasima, Phang Nga and Hua Hin are all seeing increases in the number of human and elephant conflicts, according to local reports. Incidents have become so frequent and terrifying that locals have started to arm themselves with ping-pong "bombs" to scare away the beasts. AN: Further, regions like Nakhon Ratchasima, Phang Nga, and Hua Hin are witnessing a surge in human-elephant conflicts. As these incidents become more frequent, locals resort to deterrent measures like deploying ping-pong "bombs". The Sun: In Thailand, there are more animals working in tourism and logging industries than left in the wild. AN: .... significant number of elephants in Thailand are held in captivity, employed in tourism and logging industries, and kept in zoos and performance venues. Sadly, only a small proportion of these majestic animals are free in their natural habitats. etc. Here's an image from The Sun article compared to the image from this article. https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/27673790/elephant-attack-capital-thailand-tourists-blame/
  22. We are talking passenger jets are we not. Airbus A340 and A380 and the few 747's still flying with 4 main engines apart from that it's 2 + APU.
  23. APU. Auxilliary Power Unit. This is a jet engine albeit a small one and is responsible for running many electrical systems including the a/c.
