  1. Sorry I have to disagree. The start of their demise has already occured when they withdrew from the MFP coalition. Further to this they went from that to BJT. Now they are in bed with the military. Their demise is well under way. They are traitors to their support base and will be punished.
  2. TIT. The people vote the army out and the army will be back in. Truly insane. There is no possible way the term democracry shoud even be uttered. A true discrace and a total slap in the face for the people of Thailand and a total corruption of an election. This can lead to an interesting scenario though. PT if they have any chance of survival (IMO now very slim) will have to vote as a bloc with the oppostion. The 1st motion of the opposition will have to be a vote of no confidence in the PM. If and I say "if" PT cross the floor an vote with the opposition the motion will be passed and new elections must be called.
  3. I'm pretty sure they're not waiting 'til they're 20 but your statement still holds true.
  4. FamilyMart (not market) is iconic in Japan from where it originates. They are everywhere.
  5. What hurt them was 250 junta senators, the EC and still to be seen the CC. As for PT they are now going down in history as a party of traitors to their support base.
  6. Exactly what I have been saying. Don't even show up and leave 151 empty seats.
  7. Nup! It risks it survival and will join the list of the most hated.
  8. You miss my point that there is more than one person there.
  9. Interesting. Cleared by EC yet CC can still disqualify him. What a system. A system put in place by a junta to protect the establishment.
  10. You are dead right. It's not a monopoly it's an oligopoly and it's protected.
  11. Complete rubbish. Their (MFP) vote will mean absolutely nothing. The vote of 250 junta appointed senators is what the future of Thailand is dependant on. We have witnessed this. Where they get their orders from is not an approachable discussion.
  12. Protectionism for the oligarchy. Something Pita wanted to get rid of. Get set for a price rise to increase their profits. "Taking the case of zero-alcohol beers again, they could potentially fall into the alcoholic drinks category but face little to no taxation due to their non-alcoholic nature." This could very well be a definition for completely insane.
  13. I've said before and I'll say it again. MFP should boycott the vote. Do not turn up. Leave 151 seats empty.
  14. You (PT) have chosen to sleep in the same bed as the enemy. Every Thai is aware of this. Doesn't matter what you say or do you are finished. You have sold out your voter base. Game over.
  15. And they've made it much harder to dodge. Russia needs it's canon fodder.
  16. I have been here for 20 years which obviously includes both the 2006 and 2014 coups and the bent 2019 election and it's aftermath which saw the junta 'legitimise' its power, disolve it's opposition (FFP) and put in place measures to maintain authority to wit we are seeing the consequences. I am well aware of the political landscape here.
  17. The winners lost and the losers once again win.
  18. So you think PT voters are happy that their party is now in league with those they wanted ousted?
  19. The closer they get the more votes they will lose at the next election. They have betrayed their voter base. They are no longer a people's party. They are now in bed with the elitists. Doesn't matter what populists things they come up with this betrayal will not be forgiven.
  20. Complete and utter ......... . Well if you don't want to side with any particular faction why is it that's exactly what you're doing. Let's take the word faction out and call it for what it is. Political party. You were happy to side with MFP in coaltion. You were happy to kick MFP out of the coalition then you ask them to vote for your PM nomination and you are happy to get into bed with parties in the junta coalition which are the sworn enimies of PT. This is an infantile attempt to try and keep the hoardes of their voting base which are currently abandoning them. This whole fiasco is shameful. It's a pity it's not getting international attention because it deserves to.
  21. Not according to everyone I've talked to. "Khun Torayu!" they all say; "Traitor!" 'PT is finished!" Wife says the same. "Everyone very serious about this". This treachery will not go unpunished. For PT to lay in the same bed as the present junta, military, conservative, elitist coalition is discusting and then ask MFP to vote for their PM nomination is beyond the contempt. I've said a few times now MFP should not attend parliament for the vote for a new PM.
  22. It will be short lived. PT will basically not exist after the nxt election.
  23. I still can't believe this guy is being called PM. Do the people (or maybe not people) writing 9or generating) these articles not understand he is a caretaker PM albeit for possibly the longest period following any election in the entire world EVER? After an election there is no government only a caretaker government until the next government is formed following the election results or in Thailand's case the votes of 250 junta elected senators being directed by their masters/master.
  24. Prayut resigns from UTN. UTN joins coalition. PM does not have to be in a political party. Last PM was not in a political party. Last PM was? PT are getting deeper and deeper in with their enemies. Not sure what they are thinking but if they think Thaksin coming back will heal the wound I think they are very much mistaken.
