  1. it's getting worse in chon buri too. is it crop burning still? if corrupt officials are keeping the crop fires going, then they should be jailed as traitors to their country. how can Thailand talk about wellness and tourism while this cancer smoke is blotting out the sun? the administration is a farce
  2. that fact he needs to stupulate no special favors for this prisoner makes me think there are special favors available to other prisoners
  3. a better approach is to keep the laws the RTP enforces and cancel the laws they don't. why joke around, encouragement isn't their job so write tickets or don't expect anyone to listen
  4. anyone bringing smelly fruit on an airplane should immediately be blacklisted, returned to their country and their passports revoked forever, never again allowed to cross their border, amen
  5. I'm liking it more now, consider it some much needed universal welfare that the current government has been lacking in. everywhere I look in this town I can see people in need of basics, so count me in. I haven't done the math but I like the concept. maybe they'll raise a wealth tax or cut a budget to pay for it. maybe the military budget is due for an adjustment?
  6. 8000bht seems too cheap, but otherwise believable. buy in bulk and repackage, solid business plan except for the other bits
  7. they should definitely agree on some rules and put them on paper, but as they are all offenders in the issue, it's just more hot air and posturing from the delegation. seems not to be a topic in the coming election too? if so, that seems incredibly suspicious since it is a dire problem that has solutions that nearly everyone can agree on. seems like a winning platform to run on...
  8. "The officers then conducted identity checks on patrons to verify their age and ensure that they were not carrying any prohibited items. Police said tourists should refrain from doing all sorts of inappropriate things such as sexually harassing others during parties." turn on the lights, turn off the music and everyone listen up - the cops have something to say!
  9. sounds like a clear violation, returning wounded rebels to meet their death squad. I wonder if Immigration stopped to think about the consequences for those rebels or the Thai image. surely they had to know if they handed them over they would be persecuted or executed?
  10. they are serious about who they let on the force, the highest bidders of course
  11. your government heard you and will make thailand a wellness destination, problem solved
  12. "Officers from Bang Plee Police Station reported that they would question Naritsara more and invite her husband for questioning." sure, invite the husband for questioning, if it's convenient. I'm not surprised anymore, arresting someone is a true hassle for the RTP
  13. thanks for the links. here is a link that clarifies my point: https://www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/russia/forrel-nato.htm especially this bit: "Western leaders never pledged not to enlarge NATO. The Germans, Americans, British and French agreed in 1990 that there would be no deployment of non-German NATO forces on the territory of the former German Democratic Republic (GDR). The Soviets never raised the question of NATO enlargement other than how it might apply in the former GDR. Russia Beyond the Headlines interviewed Mikhail Gorbachev in October 2014, "The topic of “NATO expansion” was not discussed at all, and it wasn’t brought up in those years. I say this with full responsibility. Not a single Eastern European country raised the issue, not even after the Warsaw Pact ceased to exist in 1991. Western leaders didn’t bring it up, either." *end quote* this matter quickly devolves into legalities. but even if the assurance of a nato non-expansion was an issue, the assurance would have been made to the soviets of the ussr, a state that no longer exists, and I expect it wouldn't automatically apply to the new state government monopolized by Putin, as much as Putin wants it to. it would be up to his government to secure its own assurances. but I'm not a lawyer, just a casual observer. cheers
  14. was England ever great? France? yet they were considered great empires. innovation and invention drive economies, America is great at those 2 things, and if you have an innovation then there is no better place to be
  15. something the original post claims is ignorant disinformation, but looks 100% correct now, except it is Chinese on Chinese crime and Immigration/RTP allow the criminals freedom to enter and operate in Thailand
  16. I question your 1st point as a fact. there was no promise talked about or assured from nato to not expand, as affirmed by Gorbachev who signed the deal. the nato "promise" never happen, it is Putin's fabrication to gain sympathy for his invasion.
  17. if only they had more helicopters that drop water instead of bullets?
  18. incredible he is sentenced all those years without raping, harming or killing anyone! looks like embarrassing your superiors is a life sentence here, which also makes Thai justice look suspect. 5 years of theft right under their noses, RTP lost more face when they hardly have any left
  19. comical threat! yes, please explain sending soldiers to their death - that's the Russian war strategy, not Finland's. I expected more strategy from the land of chess
  20. beurocrats being beurocrats, hopefully they will step aside for enterprise
  21. I thought it was for a quick and easy positive headline, for a change. but then I saw the photo...
  22. ok, exercise is important, but more important is what is eaten. msg, sugar, pork fat and veg oil is consumed in excess amounts at most meals here. add white rice to the mix and you get the flabby pasty flesh that people think they can exercise away. just go back to food that is simple and healthy and the need for exercise is drastically reduced. but every dish has to be over the top, so thai food will continue to be unhealthy... end of rant
  23. sounds thin-skinned for a Thai doctor that caters to Europeans, borderline hypocritical. what would the thai say about an exemplary doctor that prefers to treat foreigners?
  24. can't open the link, but curious what countries will be targeted
