Never happen. The webpage for claiming missing miles doesn't work, one of the 2 email addresses they list for contact doesn't work while the other sends you an automated reply with a link to click on.....the link doesn't work. The airline still refuses to pay refunds from more than 2 years ago. Oh and a recent search on fares from BKK to AKL revealed Thai were 2.5 times more expensive than Singapore Air, AirNZ or Cathay.

Cue expensive TAT campaign aimed at cat owners who want to share covid with their loved one.

Using “as the kingdom battles covid 19 pandemic” as an excuse is laughable. Every nation faced the same challenge. Thailand just failed better than the others, hence the fall. Look to the govt for fault.

Use Agent here only for Retirement Stay as I object to the 800k, too critical & avoids potential of getting humiliated / messed around. 22k.
So premium of 20k each year. well worth it????????????
I don't do the 800k but opt for the 400k instead. Suits me perfectly.

Re the Russian oligarchs and their yachts and properties all over the world:
Russian oligarchs are business oligarchs of the former Soviet republics who rapidly accumulated wealth in the 1990s via the Russian privatisation that followed the dissolution of the Soviet Union. The failing Soviet state left the ownership of state assets contested, which allowed for informal deals with former USSR officials (mostly in Russia and Ukraine) as a means to acquire state property.

You left out the bit about none of them getting filthy rich without the consent of Putin.

You don't just announce you are open, and people pour in here, like the arrogant goons thought would happen, as Thailand is the center of the known universe, right?
Also, no sacrifices or improvements have been made. The Indians are used to a ramshackle look, so this will not bother them. And then there is the geographic convenience factor.
Not just the programs fault. No country anywhere around the globe is back to normal tourist numbers. And re your photos of decay and neglect, I wager such scenes exist in any city anywhere. Maybe try to accentuate the positive next time? Swampy was packed with hundreds of tourist arrivals on saturday which bodes well for the future.

This was a waste of money in the first place, plus an additional waste of money to change it back into office space. What a bunch of muppets.

So about 5% from 3 years ago, would be more if they got rid of the useless Thailand pass
the Thai Pass isn't stopping anyone who wants to come IMO. All the tourists I've met lately have said it was easy peasy. I would suggest that tourist numbers haven't recovered because no country in the world is anywhere near back to pre-covid arrival levels.

Never had any issues navigating around the rules and regulations. Mind you, I've always used an agent to smooth the way ahead.

OK, let me make it simple for you as it appears that your username is not intended to be taken literally. The point is whether being a second tier sportsman with some limited success makes you a national hero.
Allow me to use an analogy. It would be like if I claimed that Ohara Davies is a national hero. Who is Ohara Davies, you might ask? He’s a pretty average boxer from the UK, not bad, but nothing special. Then when you question whether a second tier boxer from the UK is really a national hero, I retort “Well, he could beat YOU up”.
It’s an inane argument. Real low brow stuff. The type of "comeback" I’d expect from my 10 year old Nephew ????.
I'm sure your 10 yo nephew is brighter than you but let me make it as simple as possible so perhaps, just maybe, a light will go on in your brain. The Moto 2 category has world class riders some of whom have raced in over 50 races and never stood on the podium. For the Thai rider to achieve the success he has to date, he well warrants being classed as a hero for Thai people. Thailand is not regarded as a well of great racing drivers or bike riders. This is very big stuff for the kingdom. Your belittling of his status shows either a complete lack of respect and/or complete ignorance of what he has achieved.

Couple of wins in Moto 2 and currently 7th in the Championship. Not to be sniffed at but it's not exactly Valentino Rossi either, it's basically the kids class. If he moves up to MotoGP and secures a Championship or two I think he might be worthy of the title "National Hero", although even then I have reservations about making 'heroes' out of sportsmen, I'd rather apply the tag to people who do good, selfless work for the community, breakthroughs in medicine etc.
But like I said, when you very rarely win anything on the international stage I guess you have to take what you can get. Also, politicians love to try and bask in the achievements of others and stoke up a bit of nationalism, especially when a gullible audience is waiting to lap it up as you have done.
Hop on a bike and show us what you can do Jonny.

With a Kalex frame and Triumph engine.... where does Honda come into it ?
They sponsor the rider. All the racing bikes in his category (Moto 2) use Triumph engines.

Really folks, cummon... the fact is that "national hero" is as subjective as it gets. In the USA 1/2 the population would say Ronald Reagan is a "national hero" - the other 1/2 would not. Is Greta Thunburg a "national hero"? Is Muhammed Ali a "national hero"?
Its all subjective, and debating whether or not a particular person IS a "national hero" is an exercise in futility and hardly worth the effort of the debate.
USA national heroes are usually as dumb as the rest of Americans so not really a good example.

Just shows how low the bar is set. God help us if they ever produce a Valentino Rossi, a Lionel Messi, a Roger Federer or a Tyson Fury.
The "soft power" would be rock hard.
That 'low bar' you mention is a class of riders who rate as the best upcomers in the world, competing in one of the most closely fought categories of motor racing globally. Show a little respect.
