  1. So this means I can just go to the district office with my new landlord and get onto his house book, then let my current landlord know that I’m on a new house book and, therefore, not on theirs anymore?
  2. What letter is that and how do I get it? If it is required to get onto the new house book, I guess it still means that I need the current landlord?
  3. Looking for an agent in Bangkok who can help with changing myself from one tabian baan to another. I can do this myself but don’t want to deal with it and my current landlord. It’s really just: - coordinate a date and time between current and new landlord and district office - prepare a PoA for me to sign - ensure all documents are ready - go to the district office, meet current and new landlord there, get everything done any recommendations? Any idea how much this would cost? would prefer someone who can speak English.
  4. You mean it suddenly stopped in your 50ies?
  5. Appreciate everyone’s responses. It’s not easy to accept that this may be chronic but that’s what I read online too. It started when I went through immense stress, anxiety and panic attacks from life changes, so I somewhat hoped it would go away when I feel better. And I think the tinnitus itself may actually be something I could ignore and live with since most of the time the general noise of the environment is masking it. But there’s also the constant pressure on my ears as if I was diving or on an airplane. I keep making chewing or swallowing actions but it seems the pressure is constant.
  6. Can anyone recommend a specialist for tinnitus? I’m not very hopeful as I’ve read that it’s likely gonna be chronic if it doesn’t go away after a few weeks (it’s more than two months now). But at least I wanna rule out anything serious. Im in Bangkok. I visited one ENT at BNH who removed wax from the ears, did a hearing test (largely fine except some minor hearing loss in some frequency) and prescribed 6 weeks of meds that didn’t do anything.
  7. I’ve ordered some over Grab. There seem to be plenty of pharmacies who stocked up from iHerb or other sources and are now reselling. Probably more expensive than Lazada or iHerb directly, but you get it within an hour delivered by a motorcycle guy.
  8. 6-8 hrs, probably 7 hrs on average. Unless I have a really bad night where I can’t fall asleep due to worries. Then it’s maybe 5-6 hrs in total.
  9. Can’t think of anything. I don’t eat sugar and processed food. I’ve cut out pretty much all deep fried food unless I treat myself every once in a while. I limit red meat consumption to once a week or less and eat mainly chicken with salad and a moderate amount of carbs. I eat my last meal between 6-7pm. I drink only socially every once in a while. I don’t smoke or take drugs. I run three times a week and go for a walk on weekends. My BMI, cholesterol, blood sugar etc. is all fine. I got to sleep between 11-midnight now and get 7-8 hours sleep. I wake up during most nights at the same time 4am-ish) and start worrying. This started the beginning of the year due to burnout at work and was aggravated by a breakup. I have lots of mental stress and anxiety during most days, mainly future worries about whether this is still the right place for me or whether I should move back to friends and family.
  10. Does this mean you taking 5mg when going to sleep and another 5mg when waking up during the night?
  11. Any ideas or recommendations for a doctor? The one I was referred to by the hospital prescribed benzos ???? (which I don’t wanna and didn’t take).
  12. I did. but that was before I developed this tinnitus. I guess I can see him again but he’s only working on Saturdays I believe. Maybe this tinnitus and pressure on my ears is related to my current mental problems (stress and anxiety).
  13. I’m getting a bit nervous because I also developed tinnitus and pressure on my ears. The ENT cleaned and checked my ears and gave me two weeks of meds (antihistamine, something for blood circulation, nose spray) which didn’t do anything. I’m getting a bit nervous and would rather waste money on an MRI not needed than waiting more. would you be able to recommend m any neurologist or neuro-surgeon that I could consult?
  14. Doctors seem to hand out Benzos like candies here and I don’t wanna take them. Are there any lighter meds (maybe even over the counter) that help reduce stress and fall asleep?
  15. What doctor would you recommend for general brain scan to see if there are any tumors, aneurysm etc.?
  16. Abdomen probably meant that half your body and especially your head were outside the machine. I wouldn’t feel claustrophobic in that case. But even for a heart MRI (CTA) your head moves a bit into the doughnut, and for a brain MRI you’d have to move in completely.
  17. I would still need sedation unfortunately. Bangkok.
  18. Can you recommend a neurologist for a brain MRI? Have some slight vision changes/problems and two eye doctors said my eyes are perfectly fine and that I may want to consider a brain scan. And need an MRI with sedation (or even anesthesia) as I’m claustrophobic.
  19. I want to relocate from Bangkok to the EU and am looking for a shipping company for my household stuff. It shouldn't be too much so I'm wondering whether there's something cheaper than a whole container (which I can't fill). I believe it should be a few boxes only. Any ideas?
  20. Can someone recommend a doctor/hospital to do the testosterone test? Someone who knows what he/she is doing. Ideally someone who can also test for vitamin deficiencies.
  21. Thanks. Any other recommendations? This one isn’t available for almost two months…
  22. Bangkok. All major hospitals seem to offer it, so I was wondering whether there’s any differences or any specialist or whether I should just pick the cheapest one.
  23. Can anyone recommend a hospital/doctor to do a sleep study and prescribe or advise on a CPAP machine (or similar measures against snoring)? I saw all the major hospitals offer something but I’m not sure if there’s any specialist or so…
  24. Can anyone recommend a good physiotherapist or physiotherapy clinic in Bangkok?
