It is really is touching, I was convinced that if there are good people in Thailand, those are the monks, I visit the temple almost twice a week and there is this monk in Pattaya, I don't know why, it takes all y thoughts and worries away only by looking into my eyes, I was not aware that even monks can behave like this. This is not completely true, you also see, robbery, scams, fightings and not forget the way are idolized the local authorities (chief from immigration, chief of police) and all the other crooks by the journalists, the real shame is that some of these journalists are farangs, that's the real shame, a*s kissers if you'd ask me...

The main ideea is that they dn't have the brains and the interest to care about the environment, they will, in the moment they will realize that Thailand transformed into a giant trash bin and nobody is coming anymore. That clown that they call a prime minister has started a huge campaign anti smoking, what he doesn't realize is that the gas emission from the cars, the garbage and the stink on the streets it's 10 times more toxic than a cigarette...and speaking about the cars, in Europe they have standards, you wouldn't believe what romanians demand for an imported car and what messy they are for a smokey car, in here...nadah

Public education is a big part of the answer. The government can't do everything. Almost everyone in Thailand needs to be educated about preserving the environment for the good of all Thais. Depends where you live. If you're not more than 10 kms outside Pattaya you have the choice of TT&T, True, and Loxinfo who will provide broadband and Hutch who provide mobile broad band. The first three require a landline, Hutch doesn't, but for Hutch you will need a Thai to be the subscriber, as they won't accept farangs without work permits. If you're more than 10 kms out (like me) your choice is Loxinfo Ipstar satellite (which of course you can also use in Pattaya proper), or possibly Hutch. You don't need a landline for Ipstar. If you have a landline, you can use dial up in any location - just buy a card from loxinfo and you're up and running. It's bit slow but better than nothing. I think that covers it all. By the way, True and TT & T (TOT) are pretty lousy. Loxinfo is much better.

Sick bar tender’s desperate act on Pattaya Beach.

A sad story now from Pattaya Beach. This is Khun Soowit aged 28 who works as a bartender at the Pop Beach Bar in Soi 7. On Friday he received some news from a doctor after a routine health check uncovered a problem with his heart. He asked his girlfriend, Khun Ladawwan to take a day off from work and look after him on Friday and she refused because her employer would not give her the time off.

This led the man to this desperate act on Pattaya Beach in front of Mike Shopping Mall. Witnesses mentioned that the man began to walk into the water, shouting the name of his girlfriend as he went. Eventually rescue workers arrived and managed to track down Khun Ladawwan who pleaded with Khun Soowit to come out of the water. As he came back to shore, he was clearly in some distress and collapsed as he was about to be taken to Hospital. At the hospital, he became less agitated but doctors tell us that further cardiac examinations are needed to confirm the possibility he suffered a small heart attack in the water.

Some compassion from Khun Ladawwan's employer might have helped avert the call for symathy and or help in dealing with a possible frightening unknown! That's if she told him/her she wanted the day off in the first place and why!
