  1. I have COPD and Liposomal Vitamin C which I make is necessary for me especially in this pandemic. The Liposomal requires alcohol to blend the lecithin, water and Ascorbic Acid. Without the alcohol I cannot make my Liposomal Vitamin C and my health can be affected. Does this government care? Also there are gatherings on buses, workvans and trucks, The BTS, Superstores and their cues, which have made COVID no worse. So the ban on alcohol is totally unnecessary. Especially when only a few people break the rules and have parties. I am sixty and like a drink at home watching a good movie and I think most are like that. Why should the whole of the country suffer as a result of a few who are disobeying the order. We are complying but are suffering for doing so. It is only a matter of time before an illegal industry will be established and we will see unlawful behaviour and gangsters and killings like in the US during prohibition. The government will be responsible for that and it's cost.

Phase 1 opening:  The key term will be something like 50 to 60% capacity only. For instance if a restaurant can normally seat 10 people then only 5 o 6 customer allowed in at one time.  The same would go for airlines, buses etc.

As for service providers I do not see a high risk if a barber just cuts hair.  I do see higher risk if the same barber shaves the customer.  If  both the barber and customer wear masks, sanitize hands, equipment, chair and smock before then I see little risk in cutting hair.  At the current time tattoo parlors should not be allowed to open.

Massage Spas and salons?  Who knows.  The safest massage I see at the current time is a foot massage with masks and sanitizers?

As for gyms I see it this way.

    1) No air conditioning.  Open air with fans and reduced capacity(the same 50 to 60% rule).  Gyms with showers should close them off.  Also, reduction in the number equipment to create more open space.

How about the social distancing in the kitchen? It is idiotic! There is no social distancing in Makro, not even at the checkouts, not on buses, trains, taxis, mini buses, street stalls and I have seen absolutely no one collapse on the ground begging for air. Does anyone know what a pandemic is? Look at the Black Death and the Spanish Flu (which incidentially came from a US military base during the first world war when Germany were losing, what a coincidence)?

    Yawn, troll somewhere else.

I just did some quick search and found this, according to John Hopkins

COVID-19: Approximately 197,578 deaths reported worldwide; 51,949 deaths in the U.S., as of Apr. 25, 2020.*

Flu: 12,000 to 61,000 deaths in the U.S. per year.

So in 51 days since the 1st case in the US there have been 51,000 deaths compared to a normal yearly US total of up to 61,000. And this is with huge pressure on social distancing, stay at home etc. With exponential growth and no social distancing it would be a scary number. Not just normal flu.

I saw in UK news that 18 Transport for London Bus drivers have passed away.... is that like normal flu?

Sorry, in 2017/18 80,000 died from Flu in the US CDC statistics. Not counting Pneumonia, asthma, swine flu, SARS, MERS and other lung related deaths. It shows that today out of 45,000 suspected COVID cases in Thailand. 40,000 WERE flu and 5,000 came back negative, only 50 died and they all had underlying medical conditions or were old and had weak immune systems! Wow!!!! You don't see statistics like that in the US, UK, Italy or Spain? Wonder why?

Yes just to add before the usual people get on their soapbox.

53 new cases today. However, despite the apparent leap, 42 of the cases are foreigners at an Immigration Detention Center at the Sadao Malaysian/Thai border checkpoint which was previously closed several days ago after an Immigration officer tested positive. The entire center is being tested and quarantined, including staff.

So in actual fact there are only 11 new cases as those were suspect anyhow and quarantined. So, case numbers still coming down.

  5. My friend in hospital in the UK for over a year with Cancer had his wife and child refused entry to the UK on the grounds of COVID. No compassionate grounds especially when he needed moral support and they had already paid for travel. It is a rediculous state of affairs. She and their son were more likely to catch something rather than pass on something seeing the no. of cases here and in UK.

  6. In fact doctors have advised that alcohol is very good to prevent viruses. Also taking saunas kills the virus. So why ban these? Also doctors advise exercise to keep the immune system strong by keeping fit but my pool, gym and sauna are closed? Do they want the infection to spread? As far as closing down household items and shops, I do not see the logic. We all meet up in one place now, the supermarket! It has not made the virus worse and Sweden have taken no such measures and their peak is flattening in line with or better than most countries. The amount of people who got infected or died is very low in comparison to other countries. I believe that people should be allowed to return to work but to be vigilent and wear a mask in public places for a while longer and to eat well and take vitamins like Vitamin C.

  7. I and my daughter are in Thailand just 10 min drive from me. Her mother (separated) who used to let me see my daughter once a month for 5 hours now won't let her see me at all because she thinks her mother may catch the virus. The world is gone mad and these unnecessary drakonian measures taken by governments around the world will destroy the economies of the world and families all based on a virus no worse than the flu?

(Quote: Dr. Anthony Fauci US Coronavirus Task Force)

Only 150 US citizens to date with no pre-existing conditions have died from COVID, (Quote; Easton Spectator)

So if it is no worse than the Flu which incidentally killed 61,000 people in 2017/18 and 45 Million were infected with 810,000. hospitalizations with the Flu.

2018/19 Flu Season US 35 Million infected. 16.5 million seeking medical care. 34,000 deaths from Flu. 490,000 hospitalizations. With no shutdown or loss of business! Statistics from CDC gov website.

Compare those statistics with the current year!

I've done exactly that. Three weeks later its still crippled awaiting authorisation. If yours works, how long did you wait for it to be activated please?

It did not activate via my e mail until I tried twice or 3 times. A pain but I am now registered but will not need to do 90 day until May.

Braindead asia can do what they want tho, it seems.

In Ireland you cannot go further than 2Km from your residence. No trips to the beach or Sunday drives. There are no ptotests. People are a bit <deleted> but no NAZI accusations!
